Claims (17)

  1. Sliver guiding apparatus comprising a guide element arranged between two pairs of rollers at a working location of a spinning machine, characterised in that the guide element is a sliver-guiding channel (8), which is mounted between the two pairs of rollers (1, 2) and longitudinally adjustable, with at least one of its two end regions intruding into the roller gap of one of the two pairs of rollers (1, 2).
  2. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that the sliver-guiding channel (8) is composed of two pipes (9, 10), which are placed between the two pairs of rollers (1, 2), are telescopically interconnected and pushed apart by a spring force.

  8. Apparatus according to claim 7, characterised in that the guides are side pieces which support themselves against the flanks of the riffle field of a pair of bottom rollers of the associated pair of rollers.
  9. Apparatus according to one of the above claims, characterised in that the end regions (18, 19) of the two telescopic pipes (9, 10) extend beyond the middle of the bottom rollers of the associated pairs of rollers (1, 2).
  10. Apparatus according to one of the above claims, characterised in that the sliver-guiding channel (8) is arranged between a feed-in pair of rollers (1) and a following pair of rollers (2), whereby the feed-in pair of rollers (2) is provided with an already known sliver-stop device with a clamping element entering between the feed-in top roller (4) and the feed-in bottom roller (5) of the stretch means.

  14. Apparatus according to claim 11 to 13, characterised in that the displaceable pipe (10) is positioned on the run-in side of the sliver-guiding apparatus.
  15. Apparatus according to claim 11 to 14, characterised in that the pipe (9) behind the housings (24; 25), as seen in the direction of movement of the sliver narrows at its run-out side in the sliver movement area.
  16. Apparatus according to claim 11, 12, 14 and 15, characterised in that an arresting means (37) is provided which fixes the position of the displaceable pipe (10).
  17. Apparatus according to claim 16, characterised in that the arresting means (37) is arranged to be a raster (38, 39).
