A round sling for lifting loads consists of an endless strand (1) laid as a load-bearing core and a textile protective hose surrounding the endless strand (1). According to the invention, the endless strand (1) carries with it a test conductor (4) which is connected to two connecting contacts for the test medium which pass through the wall of the protective tube (2).

Description

The invention relates to a round sling for lifting loads with the features listed in the preamble of claim 1. The construction of such round slings, also known as woven lifting slings, is the subject of DIN 61 360. The thread of the endless strand consists of a synthetic, multifilament material.

Such round slings have to be checked for integrity at certain intervals. This check is inevitably largely limited to checking the integrity of the protective hose, because the scrim or the endless strand cannot be checked visually due to the covering by the protective tube made of non-transparent textile material, although the endless strand alone forms the load-bearing core of the round sling.

The invention has for its object to provide a round sling of the type mentioned, which allows a check of the integrity of its endless strand without special expertise. This object is solved by the characterizing part of claim 1.

The invention is based on the finding that the load-bearing capacity of a round sling is impaired when one of the many turns of the scrim or the supporting endless strand is damaged or is particularly severed. Such damage or severing of the endless strand has an externally measurable influence on the passage of the test medium applied to the ends of the test conductor. The material properties of the test conductor should be such that, in the event of an overload in the longitudinal direction, only the endless strand and then the test conductor breaks.

The test conductor can be connected to the protective tube at both ends in a particularly simple manner. The identification feature of claim 4 ensures that the continuous strand can be checked over its entire length for its integrity by the test manager. This can be ensured in a simple manner in that the test conductor is spun together with the thread of the endless strand. The test conductor can be embedded all around in the thread of the endless strand, which advantageously ensures that it does not come into direct contact with the test conductor of an adjacent turn of the endless strand.

The higher elasticity of the test conductor in relation to the elasticity of the thread of the endless strand can be e.g. thereby achieve that the endless conductor runs in an undulating or helical shape in the longitudinal direction of the thread of the endless strand.

The test conductor can be an electrical conductor for a continuity test. For this purpose, it can advantageously be encased in insulation. However, it is equally possible for the test conductor to be a light guide for a light continuity test.

  • Fig. 2 den vergrößerten Teilausschnitt II in Fig. 1,
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to an embodiment shown in the figures. Show it:
  • 1 is the overall view of a round sling of the type according to the invention,
  • 2 shows the enlarged partial section II in FIG. 1,
  • 3 shows a section along the line III-III in FIGS. 1 and 2.

The load-bearing core of the round sling consists of an endless strand 1 made of synthetic, multifilament thread material, for example of a polyamide and / or polyester fiber thread. The number of individual turns 11 of adjacent strand sections determines the load capacity of the round sling to be taken up by the laid scrim. The scrim or the endless strand 1 is encased by a protective tube 2 loosely surrounding it. The protective hose 2 consists of a textile hose fabric or a sewn textile fabric. The protective hose is only filled to about 60% to 70% of its maximum hose cross-sectional area by the scrim or the endless strand 1. The protective tube 2 is also slightly in the circumferential direction 3 of the round sling in folds, so that an expansion occurring in the event of a load and thus an increase in the circumferential length of the scrim or the endless strand 1 are still not to act on a tensile load on the protective tube and thus to damage it leads. The slack with which the scrim or the endless strand 1 lies in the protective tube 2 ensures that the protective tube 2 is opposite the scrim or endless strand 1 and the individual thread strands or windings 11 can easily shift against each other for automatic load balancing.

The endless strand 1 has in its center a carried test conductor 4, the two ends 41, 42 of which are connected to two connecting ends or connecting contacts 5, 6 for the test medium, the connecting contacts 5, 6 passing through the wall of the protective tube 2, so that they are accessible from the outside. If the round sling has a plurality of endless strands 1 as a scrim, each test strand 4 is assigned to each endless strand 1 with two connecting ends or contacts 5, 6 respectively led out of the protective tube 2. The test conductor 4 expediently has the same length as the continuous strand 1 assigned to it, so that it is carried over its entire length.

The test conductor 4 can be an electrical conductor for a continuity test. In such a case, the electrical conductor is expediently sheathed with an insulation 12 in order to avoid mutual contacting of the test conductors by threads or turns 11 of the endless strand 1 lying adjacent to one another. However, the test conductor 4 can also be a light guide for a light continuity test.

As long as the test manager 4 is undamaged, it can easily be determined even by an inexperienced user by means of a simple continuity tester whether the test manager is still intact or severed. If no turn 11 of the endless strand 1 is cut, the through shows gait tester continuity on. However, if there is a cut, this is indicated by the continuity tester. For example, a current does not flow with an electrical test conductor. If the test conductor is a light guide, even a partial separation of the same can be determined optically in a simple manner. In any case, the design of the round sling according to the invention enables simple checking whether the load-bearing core of the round sling is still intact.
