Description

The invention relates to a chain locker for a goods transport trolley of the type comprising a key mounted at one end of a chain, the other end of which is secured to a trolley, said key cooperating with a coin-operated lock of a another carriage for releasing a deposit (currency) which it contains by locking the two carriages together, unlocking being produced by introduction of a deposit which opens said lock and remains trapped there.

Lockers for trolleys have received an important application by the advantages they bring to shops, stations, terminals, etc .: formation of rows of trolleys available to users by means of a deposit which is returned, clearing aisles traffic, parking lots and garages, and significant reduction in loss and damage to carts.

Known rigid devices, in which the key and the coin-operated lock are in one piece, allow simple use but have drawbacks, mainly of space and difficulty of assembly. They do not adapt well when the terrain is sloping.

Known chain depositors are space-saving because they can be mounted on the handle of the trolley, adapt well to trolleys of various dimensions and their flexibility allows them to be used on inclined terrain. However, their use when unlocking is complicated by a precise positioning of the deposit coin, a delicate introduction of the key, an additional operation of an operating member.

The present invention aims to create a new chain locker in which the unlocking is done by simple introduction of the part, and which is also simple, therefore economical, light and compact, reliable and resistant.

To this end, the locker according to the invention is characterized in that the locker locker comprises two levers each pivoting about an intermediate axis, one end of each lever cooperating with notches formed on said key and the opposite end of each lever cooperating with said deposit piece, said levers being subjected to the action of a locking straw, returned by spring and cooperating with said key.

  • - la figure 1 est une vue en coupe axiale d'un consigneur selon un exemple de réalisation de l'invention, en position de condamnation sur un autre consigneur identique;
The invention will be clearly understood on reading the following description made with reference to the appended drawing in which:
  • - Figure 1 is an axial sectional view of a locker according to an exemplary embodiment of the invention, in the locked position on another identical locker;
  • - Figure 2 is similar to Figure 1, for the unlocked position; and
  • - Figure 3 is a cross-sectional view of the locker of Figures 1 and 2, the upper part representing the locking position and the lower part unlocking position.

The locker comprises a coin operated lock comprising a body or case 1 into which a key 2ʹ fitted with a handle 3ʹ of an identical locker can penetrate. A spring 4 recalls a flake 5 for locking a lever or feeler 6, one end of which cooperates with the key 2 la and the other end with a coin 7 acting as a deposit.

Les leviers ou palpeurs 6 sont pivotants chacun autour d'un axe 13.The housing 1 is fixed to the guide bar 8 of a carriage by means of a through screw 9. A weld 10 connects a ring 11 to the housing 1 and a chain 12 is fixed to the ring 11 and leads to its end a key (not shown) identical to the 2ʹ key. The levers or feelers 6 are each pivoting about an axis 13.

Le fonctionnement est le suivant:The operation is as follows:

In the locked state (Figure 1 and top of Figure 3), the key 2 clé, secured to the previous carriage (not shown) in a file, is held captive by the ends of the feeler levers 6 kept anchored by the spring 4 .

If a coin 7 is introduced into the lock, it actuates the feeler levers 6 in rotation about the axes 13, which releases the key 2ʹ. By pulling on the handle 8 of the carriage, the key 2ʹ leaves the lock, releasing the straw 5 which rises at the level of the feeler levers 6. The carriage is released, the part 7 being held between the ends of the levers 6 which are themselves - same locked by the straw 5 pushed by the spring 4.

It can be seen that the device according to the invention, with a very simple structure, allows the locker to be locked and unlocked automatically.
