Description

DESCRIPTION DE L'INVENTION DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Perfectionnements apportés aux serrures à gage tels que consigneursImprovements to pawned locks such as lockers
The present invention relates to improvements made to pledge locks, such as depositors, in particular for handling carts.
The invention relates more specifically to locks of the type comprising a fastening key capable of being temporarily trapped in the lock as long as a coin has not been engaged in said lock. The invention also relates to locks of the kind in question, the key of which is in the form of a part of revolution with a symmetrical axial profile.
There are several types of locks on the market in the form of relatively large boxes installed most often on the conduct bar of industrial trucks. These locks allow, by their volume to integrate anti-vandalism security, but their size is a handicap. Also we have seen appear on the market a second generation of locks of small size but much less secure against vandalism and especially vulnerable to unauthorized recovery of the coin, or by forcing the opening of said coin which remains partially visible during the use of the carts, or by introducing any unauthorized object into the key passage. The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a new type of lock which better meets the requirements of fleet managers and which also guarantees users against attempts to recover unauthorized coins pledged in locks.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide a compact lock with a security mechanism both on the coin entry side and on the attachment key entry side, this mechanism comprising a minimum of simple mechanical parts, preferably allowing , but not exclusively the use of plastic molding techniques.
To this end, the invention relates to a hired lock, in particular for handling carts, of the type comprising an attachment key temporarily trapped in the lock as long as a coin is not engaged in said lock, this key in the form of a part of revolution with a symmetrical axial profile, lock characterized in that it comprises a mechanism constituted mainly of a pivoting lever with two arms cooperating on the coin entry side with a sliding carriage making it possible to keep the coin inside the lock body and cooperating on the attachment key entry side with a g chette which, for an axial position, traps the attachment key in the lock body and for another position allows entry of the passage of the attachment key. According to one arrangement, the lever actuated axially by the pivoting lever cooperates with a pair of latches with radial displacement relative to the axis of insertion of the attachment key, the said latches being able to occupy two positions, one close to the key insertion axis when the latter is outside the lock body to close the key passage, the other, distant from said axis under the action of the key profile when it is inserted into the lock .
Other characteristics and advantages will become apparent on reading the detailed description which follows, of an embodiment of the improved lock, given here by way of example and shown in the accompanying drawings in which:
Figure 1 is a perspective view with parts broken away, showing the main components of the lock mechanism.
Figure 2 is a top view of the lock, the closure housing removed.
Figure 4 is a front view of the locking trigger of the lock attachment key.
According to the invention, as shown in the accompanying drawings, the token lock is designated by the general reference 10. The lock consists of a main lock body 11 containing the lock mechanism, this body being capped with a housing tamper-evident closure 12. The lock body has on one of its front faces 13 a passage 14 for a coin 15. The other front face 16 has an opening 17 for the introduction of a key d 'fastener 18. According to a particular arrangement, the key 18 is in the form of a body of revolution interrupted by at least one groove 19 disposed behind a spacer cylinder 20 whose role will be described below. The key 18 ends on the lock side with a distal end 21. The cylinders 20 and 20a of the key are connected to the key axis 22 by cones of revolution respectively 23-24 acting on the locks of the lock to authorize the introduction of the key in the direction of its introduction into the body of the lock. The body of revolution 20 of the key 18 has, opposite the cone of revolution 23 a flat face 25 which opposes the withdrawal of the key in the so-called key locking position in the lock body. The lock mechanism consists mainly of a pivoting lever 26 clearly visible in Figure 2 with two arms 27-28 respectively. The arm 27 is extended by a heel 29 which is used to trap the coin 15 when it is introduced into the lock body. The lever with two arms is in the general form of a square which can be displaced angularly about a pivot axis 30. The branch 27 of the lever with two arms is arranged along the lateral side 11a of the lock body. The second branch 28 of the lever 26 is, for an angular position of the said lever, perpendicular to the lateral side 11a of the lock body. The end of the branch 27 of the lever with two arms is kinematically integral with a trigger 31 movable axially between the side walls of the lock body and perpendicular to the latter, between two positions, one in which the trigger traps the key of attachment inside the lock body, the other in which it allows the free passage of said key, either for its introduction or for its removal. The trigger 31 is in the form of a flat parallelipiped part with a circular orifice 32 extended by a narrow buttonhole 33 which can take place in one notch 19 of the attachment key. The trigger 31 cooperates with a pair of latches, respectively 33-34 with radial displacement relative to the axis of introduction of the attachment key 18. The latches, loaded by springs 35-36 can occupy two positions, the approximation of the axis of introduction of the attachment key when the latter is outside the lock body thus obstructing the passage 17 of the key which prevents access to the mechanism by all kinds of unauthorized objects. In the other position, distant from the axis of introduction of the attachment key under the action of the profile of the key in particular under the action of the cylindrical section 20. Each lock 33-34 has a heel 33a which, in the position close to the axis of introduction of the attachment key immobilizes the axial movements of the trigger 31 and consequently the pivoting movement of the lever with two arms 26 when a coin 15 is introduced into the lock body. We understand that by this provision we can not recover said coin, unless we use the authorized key which releases the locks 33-34. On the coin entry side of the lock body, a coin carriage 37 is provided, the size 38 of which is adapted to the different diameters of the coins. The carriage has in its middle part a heel 39 bearing on the branch 28 of the lever with two arms to actuate the latter when the carriage is pushed inside the lock body by the action of introducing a coin. There is provided, in the lock body, on the coin entry side, a housing 39 with axial sliding in a stationary guide 40. The sliding housing 39 has a piston 41 loaded by spring 42 and on which the distal end comes to bear. 21 of the key 18. The housing 39 has a cleat 39a which comes into contact with the second branch 28 of the lever 26. This device, once armed by the introduction of the key 18 allows, during the introduction of a coin to eject the attachment key out of the lock body by decompression of the spring 42. The housing 12 for closing the lock body is equipped with a lock 43 with radial displacement in the direction of 1 x introduction of the attachment key. The lock cooperates with the workpiece carrier carriage 37 so as to immobilize the latter by means of the erasable lugs 44 when a coin is introduced into the lock body.
