Definitions
- the invention relates to a nailer for driving nails having a nail head into a wall, which has a nail magazine in a housing, in which the nails are inserted and are biased by means of a spring upwards to a driving channel running transverse to the nail magazine which is arranged in the drive-in channel by means of a striking head against the nail head of a nail which has entered the drive-in channel and is axially displaceable and in which a locking device is provided for locking the slide in a feed end position.
- a nailer is the subject of DE-C-952 844.
- the housing is designed as a relatively thick-walled tube in the region of the driving channel. If you place this pipe against the wall to drive in a nail, you cannot estimate exactly where the center of the driving channel is, i.e. where the nail to be driven gets exactly into the wall.
- the invention has for its object to design a nailer of the type mentioned in such a way that nails can be driven into precisely defined locations in the wall.
- the drive channel is arranged on the top of the housing in a housing section which extends semicircularly above an upper, straight-line boundary of the contact surface to be set against the wall when a nail is driven in and that the longitudinal axis of the nail to be driven in at the intersection the upper boundary of the contact surface and the line running perpendicularly through the top of the semicircular housing section.
- This design of the nailer makes it particularly easy to position it on the wall, because the upper, linear boundary of the contact surface marks the horizontal line on which the nail enters the wall.
- the position of the nail on this imaginary line is easy to estimate, because one only has to think of a vertical line through the semicircular housing section projecting beyond the upper limit.
- a marking running in the longitudinal direction of the plunger is provided on the top of the semicircular housing section.
- FIG. 1 shows several nails 1 connected to one another, each consisting of a shaft 2 made of hardened steel and a nail head 3 made of thermoplastic material.
- Each nail head 3 is designed as an elongated cylinder body and has two depressions 4, 5, one behind the other, each formed by a circumferential groove in its lateral surface.
- Short, thin webs 6 connect the individual nails 1 on their nail heads 3 to form a chain so that they are aligned parallel to one another.
- the nail heads 3 each point on the side of the shaft 2 has a contact surface 7 that limits the depth of impact of the nail 1.
- FIG. 2 shows a triangular hanger 8 used for hanging pictures.
- FIG. 3 illustrates how this triangular hanger 8 is suspended in the circumferential recess 4 of the nail head 3 of a nail 1 hammered into a wall 9.
- FIG. 3 illustrates that the nail 1 has been driven into the wall 9 so far that its contact surface 7 bears against the wall 9.
- the nail head 3 is supported on the wall 9, which counteracts the risk of breaking out.
- the recess 5 remains unused. For example, it can be used to attach a cord.
- the recess 5 can be used instead of the recess 4.
- FIG. 4 shows a conventional elongated hole hanger 10 and FIG. 5 shows how this elongated hole hanger 10 can be fastened to the nail 1 hammered into the wall 9.
- An upper area of a frameless image 11 is also shown in FIG.
- FIG. 6 shows a nailer 12 which has a hail magazine 14 in a housing 13, in which the nails 1 connected to a chain are inserted and biased upwards by means of a compression spring 15 to a driving channel 16 running transversely to the nail magazine 14. Due to this design, a nail 1b is located in the drive-in channel 16. It can be conveyed out of it by means of a plunger 17 which is displaceably arranged in it, for which purpose the plunger 17 has a striking head 18, against which one strikes with a fist to drive a nail. The connecting web 6 tears off to the next nail. If the plunger 17 is pulled back, it jumps into the drive channel 16.
- FIG. 6 also shows that the plunger 17 has a latching recess 19 into which a ball 21 preloaded by means of a spring 20 can snap when the plunger 17 has completely driven the nail 1b into a wall.
- the nailer 12 To drive a nail 1 into a wall 9, the nailer 12 is placed against the wall 9 with a contact surface 24 on the left in FIG. 6. Correct positioning of the nailer 12 is facilitated by the fact that the housing section 22 has a straight, The upper boundary 23 of the contact surface 24 protrudes semicircularly and a marking 25 is provided on the housing section 22. The tip of the nail 1 is driven in where the vertical line leading through the marking 25 intersects the upper boundary 23.

Abstract
Description
Ein solcher Nagler ist Gegenstand der DE-C-952 844.The invention relates to a nailer for driving nails having a nail head into a wall, which has a nail magazine in a housing, in which the nails are inserted and are biased by means of a spring upwards to a driving channel running transverse to the nail magazine which is arranged in the drive-in channel by means of a striking head against the nail head of a nail which has entered the drive-in channel and is axially displaceable and in which a locking device is provided for locking the slide in a feed end position. Such a nailer is the subject of DE-C-952 844.
Often nails have to be driven into the wall at a certain point. This is the case, for example, if a picture is to be hung on two nails because if the nails were at different heights, the picture would hang wrong.
In the known nailer, the housing is designed as a relatively thick-walled tube in the region of the driving channel. If you place this pipe against the wall to drive in a nail, you cannot estimate exactly where the center of the driving channel is, i.e. where the nail to be driven gets exactly into the wall.
The invention has for its object to design a nailer of the type mentioned in such a way that nails can be driven into precisely defined locations in the wall.
This object is achieved in that the drive channel is arranged on the top of the housing in a housing section which extends semicircularly above an upper, straight-line boundary of the contact surface to be set against the wall when a nail is driven in and that the longitudinal axis of the nail to be driven in at the intersection the upper boundary of the contact surface and the line running perpendicularly through the top of the semicircular housing section.
This design of the nailer makes it particularly easy to position it on the wall, because the upper, linear boundary of the contact surface marks the horizontal line on which the nail enters the wall. The position of the nail on this imaginary line is easy to estimate, because one only has to think of a vertical line through the semicircular housing section projecting beyond the upper limit.
Positioning is made even easier if, according to a development of the invention, a marking running in the longitudinal direction of the plunger is provided on the top of the semicircular housing section.
To drive a
Since, after tearing off a
