Description

The invention relates to a plate press for producing multilayer plates, in particular coated rigid foam plastic plates, with a stationary lower press plate and an upper press plate mounted in at least one gantry frame, the lower press plate being provided with a longitudinal material transport device and the upper press plate above Hydraulic cylinder piston assemblies is connected to the portal frame (s).

Plate presses of this type are mainly used in the course of coating hard foam plastic sheets with plywood sheets and / or laminating foils, with the sheets layered with the interposition of binder layers - optionally several times in stacks - are pressed in the plate press until the binder has hardened.

A known plate press of the type mentioned at the outset (EP-A 90 959) is used primarily for coating moldings, in particular made of flexible foam plastic. The press plates are obviously made of steel as usual. A bottom cover layer is used as the longitudinal material to be pressed, with which the molded body is drawn into the plate press and pulled out of it again. It is disadvantageous in this respect that trimming is required in any case after the pressing. However, the high technical outlay for the press plates is also disadvantageous.

Also known is a veneer press with a fixed lower press plate and upper press cushion (CH-B 203 501), in which the lower press plate is made with I-steel girders and a plate attached to it. A longitudinally displaceable base or base plate serves as the longitudinal material to be pressed. The I-steel beams run transversely to the longitudinal direction of the press and the plate attached to the top of the beams does not form the lower pressing surface. The function is rather perceived from the top of the extendable base plate.

The invention has for its object to develop a plate press of the type mentioned so that it is much cheaper to manufacture and has a material to be transported longitudinally, which does not force a trimming of the multilayer plate after pressing.

The solution to this problem according to the invention is that the lower and the upper press plate are each designed as a concrete plate with reinforcement made of structural steel mesh and I-steel longitudinal members connected to it, that on the upper part of the concrete plate projecting and longitudinal chambers forming I-steel longitudinal members of the lower press plate plywood panels provided with blown air passages, with their upper side forming the lower press surface, are attached and longitudinal transport chains are arranged between adjacent plywood panels, the upper run of which can be lifted over the lower press surface with the aid of lifting elements, and that the hydraulic cylinder piston assemblies are connected to the I-steel longitudinal members of the upper press plate.

The invention first uses the knowledge that, in particular in the case of large-sized plate presses of the type mentioned, it is also readily possible to work with cheap concrete plates as press plates if they have appropriate reinforcements. The upper press plate in particular can be manipulated particularly well via these reinforcements. In addition, the invention uses the knowledge that the design effort for the longitudinal transport device can be significantly simplified with a fixed lower press plate. Reference is made to the said blown air intakes on the one hand, and the longitudinal transport chains on the other hand, which automatically result in optimal structural conditions. In the plate press according to the invention, the press plates thus consist of reinforced concrete plates, while the material to be pressed longitudinally is designed, as it were, as an air cushion generating device. The concrete slabs can easily be produced at the installation site of the plate press with plane-parallel pressing surfaces. With regard to the longitudinal transport of the material to be pressed there are no problems, because the air cushion permits extremely gentle treatment of the material to be pressed. All of this is made possible with particularly low production costs; With a plate press according to the invention, it is possible to reduce the production costs to approximately 20% of the costs of a known plate press with steel press plates.

There are several possibilities for the further configuration within the scope of the invention. According to a preferred embodiment, the press plates consist of a concrete B 17, 5 of class I, consistency area 3 according to NEN 3861 (Nederlands Normalisatie-Instituut / April 1974). The I-steel longitudinal beams are expediently welded to the structural steel mesh mats. As has already been indicated above, plane parallelism of the press plates can be achieved in a particularly simple manner in the plate press according to the invention. For this purpose, according to a preferred embodiment, the arrangement is such that the pressing surface of the upper press plates is designed as a complementary surface to the lower pressing surface. The lower press plate, whose plywood plate forms the lower press surface, can be worked on flatness without great problems. If you then place a separating film on the plywood plate, the plane parallelism of the upper press plate can be achieved simply by producing the upper press plate by concrete casting on this separating film. For the rest, it is advisable to attach the upper press plate to the associated portal frame using two hydraulic cylinder piston assemblies. For the rest, an embodiment has proven itself in which the blown air passages each consist of a stepped bore in which a ball, in particular a steel ball, with an upper insert ring, e.g. made of plastic. Finally, it is advisable to use air cushions as lifting devices.

  • Fig. 1 einen Längsschnitt durch eine Plattenpresse,
  • Fig. 4 das Detail B aus Fig. 2 in vergrößerter Darstellung.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to a drawing which represents an exemplary embodiment; show it:
  • 1 shows a longitudinal section through a plate press,
  • 2 shows a cross section through the subject of FIG. 1,
  • Fig. 3 shows the detail A of Fig. 2 in an enlarged view, and
  • Fig. 4 shows the detail B of FIG. 2 in an enlarged view.

The plate press shown in the figures is used to manufacture multi-layer plates, in particular coated rigid foam plastic plates, and its basic structure consists of a lower press plate 1 and an upper press plate 2, which is arranged in two portal frames 3. One press plate 1 is stationary, the other press plate 2 is mounted to move up and down. As shown in Fig. 3, the lower press plate is provided with a material to be transported longitudinally 4.

The lower and the upper press plate 1, 2 are each designed as a concrete plate with reinforcement made of reinforcing steel mesh 5 and I-steel longitudinal members 6 welded to it. In this case, on the upper part protruding from the concrete slab and forming longitudinal chambers 7, I-steel longitudinal members 6 of the stationary lower press plates 1, a plywood plate 10 provided with blown air passages 8 and with its upper side forming the lower pressing surface 9 is fastened. The I-steel longitudinal members 6 of the movable upper press plate 2, which can be supplemented by additional I-steel cross members 11 in the upper press plate 2, are each connected to the portal frame 3 via two hydraulic cylinder piston assemblies 12. The press plates 1, 2 consist in particular of a concrete B 17, 5 of class 1, consistency area 3 according to NEN 3861. As can easily be seen, the press surface of the upper press plate 2 is designed as a complementary surface to the lower press surface 9, which in the above previously described manner has been achieved. From Fig. 3 in particular it can be seen in detail that the blown air passages 8 each consist of a stepped bore 13 in which a ball 14 made of steel is held by an upper insert ring 15 on plastic. It goes without saying that the longitudinal chambers 7 are connected to a compressed air source. 4 that the lower press plate 1 is provided with longitudinal transport chains 15 arranged between adjacent plywood plates 10, the upper run of which can be highlighted by means of an air cushion over the lower pressing surface 9.

On the other hand, it can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2 that the plate press can be supplemented, as it were, by further press plates, the lower press plates 1 being combined into a single lower press plate. Correspondingly, the portal frames 3 of adjacent plate presses can also be integrated into one another.
