Abstract

A hand labeling device is described with the aid of which in the course of an operating cycle self-adhering labels can be imprinted, dispensed and attached to articles. The operating cycle is controlled by means of an operating lever (26) pivotal out of a rest position into a pulled or squeezed position. In a device housing a printing mechanism (34) is arranged which comprises print types for producing an imprint on a self-adhering label disposed in a printing position. By a transport means (22) the self-adhering labels can be brought consecutively into the printing position and into the position for attachment to the articles. An inking device serves for inking the print types of the printing mechanism (34) before each printing operation; said device comprises an inking roll (46) which is held by a stirrup (51) pivotally mounted in the device housing and which on pivoting of the stirrup member (51) rolls on the print types of the printing mechanism (34). For producing a pivot movement about an axis (50) the stirrup member (51) is in drive connection with a rod (66), the displacement of which is controlled by the operating lever (26).

Description

Ein solches Handetikettiergerät ist aus der FR-A-2 327 148 bekannt. Bei diesem bekannten Gerät ist die Achse der Farbrolle in Führungsbahnen in den Innenwänden des Gerätegehäuses verschiebbar, wobei die Führungsbahnen so verlaufen, daß sich die Farbrolle bei Beginn eines Betätigungszyklus des Geräts zunächst auf den Drucktypen der Druckköpfe abwälzt, worauf sie dann einen solchen Verlauf haben, daß die Farbrolle aus der Bewegungsbahn der Druckköpfe entfernt wird, wenn sich diese auf das zu bedruckende Etikett absenken. Der die Farbrolle tragende Bügel ist über Hebel- und Gelenkverbindungen mit dem Bedienungshebel gekoppelt, so daß die Farbrollenbewegung stets zwangsläufig durch die Bewegung des Bedienungshebels und den Verlauf der Führungsbahnen bestimmt wird. Bei dieser Art der Bewegungssteuerung der Farbrolle läßt sich in der Praxis nur dann eine einwandfreie und gleichmäßige Einfärbung der Drucktypen erzielen, wenn enge Toleranzen der die Bewegung der Farbrolle steuernden Bauteile eingehalten werden. Bei Abnutzung der Gelenkverbindungen, der Führungsbahnen oder auch der zeitlich aus der Farbrolle herausragenden Achsstummel wälzt sich die Farbrollenoberfläche nicht mehr gleichmäßig auf alle Drucktypen ab, so daß sich demgemäß auch eine ungleichmäßige Einfärbung mit einem daraus resultierenden ungleichmäßigen Aufdruck auf dem Etikett ergibt. Eine gleichmäßige Einfärbung der Drucktypen könnte ohne Rücksicht auf bestehende Toleranzen erreicht werden, wenn die Verschiebung der Farbrolle allein durch das Absenken der Druckköpfe hervorgerufen würde. Dies ist aber bei dem bekannten Gerät nicht möglich, da die Farbrolle wegen der Notwendigkeit, drei Druckköpfe einzufärben, einen relativ langen, durch die Führungsbahnen vorgegebenen Verschiebeweg senkrecht zur Absenkrichtung der Druckköpfe zurücklegen muß. Die sich absenkenden Druckköpfe können aber auf die Farbrolle keine Antriebskraft übertragen, die die erforderliche Farbrollenverschiebung hervorrufen könnte. Damit dieser lange Verschiebeweg der Farbrolle senkrecht zur Absenkbewegung der Druckköpfe überhaupt ermöglicht wird, obwohl der die Farbrolle tragende Bügel an einem Ende um einen Drehpunkt gelagert ist, ist das die Farbrolle tragende Ende des Bügels gabelförmig ausgebildet, wobei die an den Enden der Farbrolle herausragenden Achsstummel in diesem gabelförmigen Ende so angebracht sind, daß sich der Abstand der Farbrollenachse vom Schwenkpunkt des die Farbrolle tragenden Bügels mit fortschreitender Verschiebung der Farbrolle vergrößern kann. Auch diese Art der Lagerung der Farbrolle ist der anzustrebenden gleichmäßigen Einfärbung der Drucktypen abträglich. Das freie Abrollen der Farbrolle auf den Drucktypen aller drei Druckköpfe wäre bei dem bekannten Gerät nur möglich, wenn der Schwenkpunkt des die Farbrolle tragenden Bügels außerhalb der Bewegungsbahn der Druckköpfe bei ihrer Absenkbewegung liegen würde und wenn die Führungsbahnen für die Farbrolle kreisbogenförmig ausgebildet wären. Eine solche Ausgestaltung hat aber den großen Nachteil, daß das Gerät an der Frontpartie sehr ausladend ausgebildet werden müßte, um der Farbrolle zu ermöglichen, den Weg der Druckköpfe bei ihrer Absenkung auf das zu bedruckende Etikett freizugeben. Eine solche ausladende Ausgestaltung der Frontpartie des Geräts ist aber für die Bedienung unerwünscht, da die Bedienungsperson in diesem Fall nicht genau erkennen kann, wo sie das Etikett an einem zu etikettierenden Gegenstand anbringt.Such a hand labeling device is known from FR-A-2 327 148. Das in Figur 1 dargestellte Handetikettiergerät dient dazu, Selbstklebeetiketten zu bedrucken, auszugeben und an Warenartikeln anzubringen. Das Gerät enthält ein Gehäuse 10, an dem ein Handgriff 12 angebracht ist. An der Gehäuseoberseite befindet sich eine Halterung 14 zur Aufnahme einer Vorratsrolle 16 eines Trägerbandes 18, auf dem Selbstklebeetiketten haften. Das Trägerband 18 verläuft im Gerät von der Vorratsrolle 16 aus zunächst nach unten und dann in Richtung zur Vorderseite des Geräts zu einer Spendkante 20, an der das Trägerband 18 in spitzem Winkel umgelenkt und durch eine Transportvorrichtung 22 zum Gehäusehinterende geführt wird. Die Schubstange 66 sorgt jedoch dafür, daß der Bügel 51 über die Blockierungslage hinaus im Uhrzeigersinn weiter verschwenkt wird und so den Weg für eine weitere Absenkung des Druckwerks freigibt. Bis zum Erreichen der Blockierungslage hat der Bügel 51 wegen des Eingriffs zwischen dem Ritzel 72 und dem als Zahnstange ausgebildeten Ende der Schubstange 66 die Schubstange 66 in der Darstellung von Figur 2 gegen die Wirkung der Feder 68 nach links verschoben. Sobald jedoch die Blockierungslage erreicht ist, kommt der am oberen Ende des Bedienungshebels 26 angebrachte Zapfen 70 in Anlage an die Schubstange 66, so daß er diese weiter nach links verschiebt, was das Weiterschwenken des Bügels 51 in Richtung zur Frontseite des Geräts zur Folge hat. In Figur 4 ist das beschriebene Gerät bei aufgeklappter Frontklappe dargestellt. Die Frontklappe 56 muß aufgeklappt werden, wenn die Farbrolle 46 ausgewechselt werden soll. Als Vorbereitung des Auswechselvorganges wird die Frontklappe 56 in die in Figur 4 dargestellte Position gebracht. Anschließend wird der Bedienungshebel 26 gegen den Handgriff 12 gezogen, bis das Druckwerk 34 auf dem Drucktisch 36 aufschlägt. Da bei aufgeklappter Frontklappe 56 die Austrittsöffnung 64 der Führungsbahn 54 offen ist, können sich die Führungszapfen 52, 53 im Verlauf ihrer Verschiebebewegung durch die Austrittsöffnung 64 aus der Führungsbahn 54 heraus in die in Figur 4 dargestellte Lage bewegen. Im dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel treten die Führungszapfen 52, 53 aufgrund von Zentrifugalkräften automatisch aus der Führungsbahn 54 heraus, wenn der Bedienungshebel 26 bei geöffneter Frontklappe 56 angezogen wird und der Farbrollenhalter 48 zusammen mit der Farbrolle 46 mit relativ hoher Geschwindigkeit bewegt werden. Die Bedienungsperson kann in dieser Lage den Steg 92 des Farbrollenhalters 48 erfassen und den Farbrollenhalter 48 mit der in ihm drehbar gelagerten Farbrolle 46 aus dem Bügel 51 herausheben. Vorzugsweise bilden der Farbrollenhalter 48 und die Farbrolle 46 eine komplette Austauscheinheit, so daß es nicht erforderlich ist, in den Farbrollenhalter eine neue Farbrolle einzusetzen, sondern es wird einfach eine neue Baueinheit aus einem Farbrollenhalter und einer Farbrolle in den Bügel 51 eingesetzt. Nach dem Einsetzen wird der Farbrollenhalter 48 so verschwenkt, daß er die in Figur 3 dargestellte Lage einnimmt, in der die Führungszapfen 52, 53 in der Führungsbahn 54 liegen, worauf dann der Bedienungshebel 26 losgelassen wird, was dazu führt, daß sich der Farbrollenhalter 48 mit der Farbrolle 46 in die Position von Fig. 1 zurückbewegen. Anschließend wird die Frontklappe 56 geschlossen, so daß der Ansatz 60 die Austrittsöffnung 64 wieder verschließt. Dadurch ist auch die Führungsbahn 54 wieder geschlossen, so daß der Farbrollenhalter 48 wieder über die Führungszapfen 52, 53 geführt und sicher im Gerät festgehalten wird.The device described is shown in FIG. 4 with the front flap open. In this position, the operator can grasp the web 92 of the ink roller holder 48 and lift the ink roller holder 48 out of the bracket 51 with the ink roller 46 rotatably mounted in it. Claims (2)

  1. Hand labeling device for imprinting, dispensing and applying self-adhering labels to articles in the course of an operating cycle controlled by means of an operating lever (26) pivotal out of a rest position into a pulled position, comprising a multi-line printing mechanism (34) arranged in a device housing (10) and having print type (44) for producing an imprint on a self-adhering label disposed in a printing position, a transport means (22) which brings the self-adhering labels consecutively into the printing position and into the position for application to the articles, and an inking device (46, 48) for inking the print types of the printing mechanism before each printing operation by means of an inking roll (46) which is held by a stirrup member (51) pivotally mounted in the device housing and on pivoting of the stirrup member rolls on the print types of the printing mechanism, the pivoting of said stirrup member being caused by a lowering of said printing mechanism towards a label disposed in the printing position, characterized in that the stirrup member (51) for generating a complete pivoting motion about an axis (50) within the motion path of the printing mechanism (34) is in drive connection with a rod (66) whose displacement against the force of a spring (68) is controlled by the operating lever (26) and one end of which is formed as a rack engaging a pinion (72), which is arranged at the stirrup member (51) concentrically with respect to its pivot axis (50) and that between the rod (66) and the operating lever (26) such play is present in the rest position of the operating lever (26) that the rod (66) beers on the stirrup member (51) only in the area of its dead center.
