Description

The invention relates to a roof water drain according to the preamble of claim 1, as known from DE-A-3,425,654.

From DE-A-24 37 191 a drain for flat roofs has become known, in which a collar with a sealing membrane is firmly connected to the drain body. To stock up, a one-piece attachment element with a permanently attached sealing membrane is inserted into the drain body. Even during the construction phase, the collar is put on and the sealing membrane is laid out, which often leads to an injury to the same and to later leaks.

The invention has for its object to provide a sequence of the type mentioned that can be manufactured inexpensively and while avoiding the above mentioned disadvantage is reliable and easy to install.

This object is achieved by the invention drawn in claim 1.

The parts, which are comparatively complex in terms of production technology, are used both for the top part and for the drain body, as a result of which the manufacture, storage and assembly are simplified. To avoid damaging the waterproofing membrane, the drain body can also be used without a collar for provisional drainage during the construction phase.

According to a preferred embodiment, a piece of pipe is attached to the top part, which is inserted into the drain body. This piece of pipe can be cut to length according to the desired height of the attachment. According to a further embodiment, an insert body is provided which is inserted into the drain body during the construction phase. This guarantees perfect drainage even during the construction phase, and at the same time the inlet is protected against rubble. Further refinements of the invention are characterized in the dependent claims.

An embodiment of the invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to drawings. Show it:
  • Fig. 1 shows a section through a drain body built into a ceiling with attachment, and
  • Fig. 2 shows a section through a built-in drain body with insert body.

The drain has a drain body 1 made of plastic with an outer, heat-insulating layer 24, for example made of PUR, and an inner shell 25. A socket 4 is integrally formed on the shell 25, which leads to a downpipe, not shown here. A cover 9 is attached above the opening 3 of the neck and is attached to the bottom 2 of the shell. The cover 9 has slots 10 in the side wall 12 and slots 11 in the top wall 13. This cover increases the drainage capacity of the drain in a manner known per se and also serves as an additional sieve. The drain body 1 has a circular cylindrical wall 40 which surrounds a water collecting trough 44 and which has an outwardly directed flange 47 at the top. The drain body 1 is cast or inserted into a base 30.

A flat, outwardly directed sealing membrane 5, for example made of polyvinyl chloride, is attached to the flange 45 of a collar 6. A circular cylindrical connecting piece 14 is formed on the flange 45 and engages in the water collecting trough 44 and a lip seal 38 is inserted in the outside 15 thereof. The collar 6 is sealed against the drain body 1 by means of an annular seal or lip seal 7.

If, as shown in FIG. 1, an additional bottom layer 31 is provided, an attachment 8 is inserted into the drain body 1. This has a collar 20 which corresponds exactly to the collar 6 in the lower part of the drain. A sealing membrane 26 is also formed on the collar 20. Likewise, the circular cylindrical wall 23 of a shell 33 corresponds to the corresponding wall area 43 of the shell 25. A cylindrical tube 22 is formed on the shell 33. The tube 22 stands with the lower edge on the bottom 2 of the shell 25. This tube 22 is cut to length depending on the thickness of the layer 31. Finally, a leaf sieve 27 is inserted into the opening of the collar 20.

Fig. 2 shows how the process for the provisional drainage can be used during the construction phase. For this purpose, the drain body 1 is inserted into the wall 30 without a collar 6. An insert body 28 is provisionally made of for example, foamed polystyrene used in the water collecting trough 44. This body 28 is largely complementary to the water collecting trough and has an opening above the cover 9 through which water arriving on the surface of the layer 30 can flow off. The insert body 28 is removed at the appropriate time and the collar 6 with the sealing membrane is inserted.

The shells 33 and 43 are made from the same blank. For the shell 43, the tube 22 is then removed in each case and the base 2 is welded to the socket 4. On the underside of the bottom 2, heating elements 17 are attached, by means of which condensation water in the drain body 1 can be removed.
