The invention relates to an electrical terminal device designed as a device connection and switching terminal, in particular for fluorescent tubes and lamps, with a terminal housing made of insulating plastic for receiving connecting terminals and bare conductor wire ends, in which a plurality of conductive terminal and contact bodies made of metal with associated clamping elements are accommodated in the form of clamping springs or clamping screws, a capacitor and / or a discharge resistor connectable to a contact body being able to be accommodated in an additional hollow casing housing of the clamping device and one or more device clamps for connection to a ballast or a capacitor of a consumer is / are and the longitudinal axis of the casing housing is offset radially to the longitudinal axis of the terminal housing and these two housings are also offset in the longitudinal direction from each other are.

According to the German standard DIN 46289, a distinction is made between terminals for electrical engineering according to the application in control panels, cookers, lights and the like between device terminals, connecting terminals and connecting terminals and according to the design between screw and flat terminals; spring clips are also known. The connection terminals are used for external or mains connection, whereas device terminals are terminals of devices and components and should form a unit with them. The clamping device according to the application relates in particular to one for lights and light ceilings.

Klemmelemente entsprechend anzuordnen (interner Stand der Technik).A flat connector is already known. One half has a housing cover that is only partially slipped over the screw connections of a three-pin terminal body. The second half of the flat connector is basically the same, albeit a mirror image, and has three projecting connector pins for the other three-pin connector housing. The known device thus essentially serves to connect or interrupt three electrical connection strands at a predetermined point. It does not give any suggestion to adapt the housing for device connection terminals of a special design and to arrange the contact body or clamping elements accordingly (internal state of the art).

In the case of an attachment block which facilitates the ignition of discharge vessels containing gas and which has a capacitor and at least one transformer for this purpose, the associated sheath housing for the terminal housing, which receives terminals for outer conductor wire ends, is arranged radially and in the longitudinal direction, but is made of metal. The actual terminal housing, which is made of insulating material, is inserted into a recessed space in the metal housing. Here, the bridge member between the externally supplied line-side conductor ends and the clamping points for the contact connection conductors of the capacitor or transformer is designed in the form of an elastic spring which is slotted at the other end and is conductively connected to the capacitor here by a soldering point. The contact conductors going out from the capacitor are wire-shaped. However, the capacitor and / or transformer are not easy to assemble because there are no plug connections for fastening and they are firmly cast with the metal housing by synthetic resin. The metal housing of the capacitor requires special stripping and therefore gives rise to leakage currents. Damaged capacitors cannot be detached from the casing and the entire front block must be replaced. The possibility of connecting further consumer connection conductors on the network side is not provided, and the receiving housing for the transformer and capacitor is only partially adapted to the outer contour of the electrical unit to be accommodated (US Pat. No. 3,135,822).

There are also known transformer connecting terminals which have a multitude of plug connections which are formed on the one hand between the clamping elements or clamping frames which are made of metal and are fastened to a device sheet and on the other hand are to be inserted into the latter from the outside.

The device plate is attached to a base plate, while the clamping elements have an angled shape to facilitate the soldering of the conductor ends. The terminal housing, which is made of insulating material, has a slot and resilient legs for plugging onto a mounting rail. The connection options for several electrical components or additional consumer conductors are limited or not available here. In particular, the device is not intended to be connected to certain capacitors because of the close proximity of the electromagnetic field of the transformer core package (DE-A 3 418 667). A choke coil is connected to lights and light strips. However, the assembly of terminals and contact bodies is only adapted to the choke coil and can only be carried out in a number of operations in a time-consuming manner.

A connection terminal for capacitors is also known (DE-U 6 915 548), in which the connecting lug of the capacitor, the connecting wires of the discharge resistor and also the connecting lines are clamped independently of one another. Two metal contact bodies are provided with clamping elements designed as a clamping spring, while the terminal housing is extended vertically and has an offset, additional receiving space for the discharge resistor. However, the capacitor must be installed separately in the terminal box. This clamping device is also unsuitable for being quickly and securely mounted on the ballast or on the lamp capacitor itself. Furthermore, the pressure frame of the contact body must have a special trough-shaped groove on the underside of the clamping spring.

Starting from the clamping device according to US-PS 3 135 822 (preamble), the invention, as characterized in claim 1, solves the problems be, in the case of a capacitor or the like. having lights and light strips, the clamping device is compact, the preassembly of the clamping device is easier and faster, and the contact bodies made of metal and their mutual arrangement for contact connections are more versatile.

The advantages achieved by the invention are essentially to be seen in the fact that the clamping device is created in the form of a connection, device and switching terminal as a compact unit which takes up little space and which forms an electrical pre-assembly unit. Annoying assembly in several steps is eliminated. Attaching the capacitor of the fluorescent lamp or the like. and the terminal body and their mutual connection is simple, quick and safe. At the same time, several switching circuits are available for selection of luminaires and light strips, namely as series or parallel connection; this is achieved by omitting or connecting a simple switching bridge as a contact element in one and the same clamping device.

The clamping device has a housing 1, cf. Figure 3, with a chamber-like hollow cylindrical, axially open jacket housing 2, which has a network-side end wall 3, and a base part 4 with terminal housing 8. Horizontal or perpendicular partition walls 5, 6, 7 are used to subdivide the jacket housing 2 and for receiving or Support of the individual components. The housing 1 is made of insulating plastic, likewise its terminal housing 8, cf. Figure 2. The latter is used in particular to accommodate the bare ends of the conductor wires that form the connection to the power grid. Of these, only one protective conductor wire 9 is shown in FIG. 5. The base part 4 has a corresponding projection to the end wall 3. One of the middle clamping screws 10 of the clamping housing 8 having several clamping screws, cf. Figure 3 is rotated firmly against a tab 12 serving as a stop, i.e. attracted, which is inserted into the associated body opening, cf. Figure 5, and since the tab is attached to the device on the bottom plate 13 or in one piece with it, the entire housing is firmly connected to the bottom plate.

Fig. 3, 4, vorhanden. Fig. 1 und 6, vier Abgänge, d.h. Kontaktabgriffe 17a; an der anderen Seite zweimal zwei Kontaktabgriffe 17b.One end of a connecting bridge 14 is fastened on the network side to a clamping element of one of the metallic contact bodies 11; 2 it is designed as a metal clamping spring 15. There are two connecting bridges in the side of the housing, cf. 3, 4, available. Its ends 16 on the output side facing away from the network can be directed inwards on the network side and are inserted into the plug-in clamping bodies 17 which serve as contact distributors and are made of metal. The plug-in clamp bodies 17 form on one side, cf. 1 and 6, four exits, i.e. Contact taps 17a; two contact taps 17b on the other side twice.

A preferably circular capacitor 18 of a fluorescent lamp or the like brought up from the side facing away from the mains. (not shown) engages with its tongue 19 into the opening of two upper plug-in clamp bodies 17. Here, the casing 2 guides and supports the capacitor, cf. Figures 2, 3. These components 2 and 18 are thus releasably connected to each other, but adapted to each other in shape by pushing the clamping device as a whole onto the capacitor by simple sliding movement and connecting it with plug connections. The housing 1 of the clamping device also has, cf. Figure 2, flange-like parts for receiving an interference suppression capacitor 20 which is conductively connected to the contact body or the connecting bridge. Furthermore, the casing 2 has a special web 2a which is resilient, engages over a discharge resistor 21 and presses it in the direction of a plug-in clamping body 17 and is conductively connected to it, cf. Figure 4 and 2. The associated relatively short line connections are shown only schematically. 2, 4 shows the special design and mutual arrangement of the plug-in clamping bodies 17. You once have a fork-like part 17c, Fig. 2, around the ends of the connecting bridges 14, cf. Figure 4, easy and safe to record. On the other hand, cf. Figure 1, conductor wire ends or pins adapted hole-shaped areas, hereinafter called taps 17a, 17b. The plug-in terminal body 17 has a mutual arrangement one above the other, cf. Figure 4, so that their forks 17c, cf. Figure 2, at a suitable vertical height, both the axially pushed tongue 19 of the capacitor 18 and an upper region of the discharge resistor 21 can be clamped easily and safely: the plug-in terminal bodies 17 with their individual regions allow a large number of contact and switching connections.

The end wall 3 of the casing 2 has suitable perforations 24. Through this, connecting wires for consumers 25, FIG. 6, can be inserted so that their ends contact and clamp the network-side clamping elements of the metal plug-in clamping body 17. These clamping elements can be viewed as individual switching poles. A switching bridge 26 for short-circuiting in parallel connection is now also advantageous provided, cf. Figures 2, 4, 6. It can be designed as an approximately bow-shaped contact member with pin-like ends, Fig. 6, and is inserted into the pole terminal pieces (at 17b) of the respective plug-in terminal body 17 or the contact taps 17b according to Figure 6, left side (optionally) pulled out. Through the switching bridge 26, the clamping device also becomes a switching terminal, so that a series connection, FIG. 6, or a parallel connection, FIG. 7, is possible, the capacitor 18, the discharge resistor 21 and the interference suppression capacitor 20 and in between the individual, hatched consumers are arranged.

Vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen sind wie folgt vorgesehen:Advantageous configurations are provided as follows:

A cover plate-shaped shielding plate 30, which can be snapped onto at least one of the supporting walls 5-7, can be used, cf. Figure 5, provide. This contains openings 30a for the passage of the two tabs 19 of the capacitor 18 and the pluggable end 16 of the connecting bridge 14. The cover plate can engage with its guide holes via centering pins on the end edges of the end walls 5-7, the latter walls 5-7 projecting inward locking webs have, which are engaged by the side edges of the shield plate 30. This increases the assembly security compared to the bare parts inside the casing.

Fig. 1, 4. Furthermore, the outer region of the side walls of the base part 4 is provided with wedge-shaped guide components 35 which extend in the longitudinal direction or parallel to the longitudinal axis of the casing 2, vg. Fig. 1, 4. These are pushed with the entire housing 1 on the mounting plate 13 under strips of the plate, not shown, so that the arrangement of the clamping devices on the mounting plate itself takes place quickly and safely.

The inner wall of the casing 2 is advantageous with at least partially circumferential, radially inwardly projecting webs 41 which engage in at least one recess 40 of the capacitor 18, cf. Figure 5 provided. As a result, after the lamp capacitor 18 has been inserted into the casing 2, in particular with a large diameter, an additional mounting of the capacitor and a better axial positioning with respect to the clamping device are created. Furthermore, a better interference suppression of the lamp capacitor 18 is achieved in that a special contact bracket 36, cf. 5, is provided which engages with one end 37 on the ground screw 10, but with the other approximately nose-shaped end 38 in a circumferential groove of the capacitor surface and additionally acts as an earth conductor. The contact clip is firmly clamped in the casing or in the base part, is supplied with the clamping device and does not need to be provided on the capacitor; thus this connection of the capacitor is accomplished with one plug-in process, without additional assembly steps.

In a special individual case, the switching bridge 26 can be dispensed with by the left and right contact taps 17a, 17b on the left and right side, cf. Figure 1, as there are four interconnected taps.
