Abstract

Zur Konservierung von Papier, insbesonders von solchem mit hohem Holzschliffzusatz, wird das zu behandelnde Papier, welches ohne weiteres auch in Form eines Blockes bis zu etwa 4⊘⊘ Seiten vorliegen kann, in einer Vakuumkammer mit Konser­ vierungslösung getränkt und anschließend schockgefroren und gefriergetrocknet. Als Konservierungslösung dient eine Mischung aus Festigungsmittel und Neutralisierungsagenz, vorzugsweise eine Mischungslösung von Methylcellulose und Kalziumhydroxid.
