Description

The invention relates to a cargo container for air transportation according to the preamble of claim 1.

A freight container of known type can be found in DE-OS 21 19 536. The side walls shown there consist of two parallel vertical posts, which are connected by a ridge profile. A projecting part of the ridge profile spans a zone of the side wall which extends outside the base plate and which is bordered by profiles and has an oblique edge from the base plate to approximately half the side wall height.

This shape of the cargo container allows it to be adapted to the round or oval cross section of an aircraft fuselage and is mandatory for air cargo containers.

It has proven disadvantageous in this prior art that the lateral loading opening is often not sufficient for the loading process. One is therefore forced to use pallets with a net cover for larger piece goods.

Diese Tür ist an einem Klappdeckel gleicher Breite angelenkt, welcher seinerseits um die Mittelachse der Behälterdecke schwenkbar ist.US-A-3 692 203 discloses a freight container of the type mentioned at the beginning made of plastic with a supporting frame made of profiles and planking attached to the latter, the freight container being formed on both sides into a so-called container balcony. The side loading opening can be closed by a door, the width of which is slightly larger than the width of the base of the freight container. This door is hinged to a hinged lid of the same width, which in turn can be pivoted about the central axis of the container ceiling.

In view of these circumstances, the inventor has set itself the goal of offering an improvement in the loading capacity of freight containers of the type mentioned at the outset, while ensuring sufficient stability with a low weight and enabling simple assembly.

The object is achieved according to the invention by the characterizing features of claim 1. Preferred embodiments of the method according to the invention result from the dependent claims.

Of particular importance for the invention is the transverse stiffening of the cargo container by the two-sided connection profiles, which are both fixed on both sides of the supporting structure and overlap with a shape a longitudinal edge of the adjacent planking and are fixed on the outer surface. It has proven to be favorable to cross-section this connecting profile so that one of these steps can overlap the top edge of the cladding; this makes a special sealing of the container ceiling completely unnecessary.

Freight containers of this type have, at least on one narrow side, a so-called container balcony, that is to say an inclined part projecting from an end face, which, for example according to DE-PS 34 28 109, is delimited by inclined side profiles. In such a case, it is possible to bind the inclined profiles with the connecting profile to the supporting structure, so additional stiffening elements which increase the weight are no longer required. For this purpose, the stop profiles are connected at the end with angle brackets that are riveted to the upstanding profiles.

Of particular importance for the tightness of the construction is the formation of a pair of frame profiles, which on the one hand are assigned to the hinged lid and on the other hand to the fixed part of the container ceiling and are connected by a hinge.

Due to the specific design of the cross sections of the associated frame profiles described in claims 7 to 10, the highest possible tightness of the container ceiling and the hinged lid is achieved - which could be additionally secured by inserting a sealing profile.

The overall result is a simple and inexpensive freight container with an extended loading opening that solves the task.

Individual elements from FIG. 8.

A freight container 10 of height h of here 1 162 mm for air transportation is equipped over a base plate 11 of length a of, for example, 1 562 mm and width b of 1 494 mm with a supporting frame, which - in Fig. 1 extending in the foreground - Has rear side frame 12 from a vertical profile 13, an inclined profile 14 inclined outward at an angle w of approximately 75 ° and a ridge profile 15, the individual parts being connected by corner plates 16. The opposite longitudinal side of the cargo container 10 also reveals a vertical profile 13 and an oblique profile 14, both of which limit a loading opening 20, which can be closed with a tarpaulin 21, and are connected to the corresponding profile 13, 14 of the rear side frame 12 by transverse profiles 18, 19 are.

The ridge profile 15 is approximately 1,980 mm long (dimension e) and protrudes by a dimension k of approximately 450 mm beyond the base plate 11. The cantilever end 15 a of the ridge profile 15 is connected to the base plate 11 by that inclined profile 14, to both inclined profiles 14 a vertical rod 22 connects to the cantilever end 15 a , which ends at a distance from the plane of the base plate 11 and with an inclined base rod 23 is connected to the area of that base plate 11. The inclined profile 14 forms with the two bars 22, 23 a triangular frame and thus the contour of a so-called container balcony 24.

The lateral frame fields of the freight container 10 which are created in this way - apart from the loading opening 20 - are provided with metal sheets 26 as cladding, which in turn is fastened to profile webs 17 of the profiles 13, 14, 15, 18, 19 by rivets or the like.

In Fig. 2 at 28 intersecting tension cords are indicated. Moreover, it is shown at 24 'that the freight container 10 can have a container balcony 24, 24' on both sides.

The container cover 30 consists on the one hand of a stationary plate 31 which is fixed to the ridge profile 15 and the transverse profiles 18, 19 and extends to the central axis M and on the other hand consists of a hinged lid 32 which, according to FIG. 5, in the pivoting direction y by one or more hinge / e 33 can be pivoted and in the open position releases part of the container ceiling 30 as a recess 34. As a result, the loading opening 20 is expanded.

Both the plate 31 and the hinged cover 32 have a frame with groove profiles 36 close to the hinge - towards the front the hinged cover 32 defines a hollow profile 38, on the profile web 17 of which a hinge profile 39 with a welt groove 40 for the tarpaulin 21 is fixed.

Dieses Anschlußprofil 42 ist mit endwärtigen Winkellaschen 46 an den vertikalen Stab 22 und das Schrägprofil 14 angeschlossen - er bindet letzteres fest an.4 is followed by a connecting profile 42 of width i of approximately 150 mm, which is bent to form two step edges 43 in such a way that a stop strip 44 engages over the upper edge of the planking 26 and is riveted to its outer surface. This connecting profile 42 is connected to the vertical rod 22 and the inclined profile 14 with end-angle brackets 46 - it binds the latter firmly.

A narrower connection profile 42 a (i₁ = 80 mm) touches the cross profile 18 and is tapered towards the side opening in plan view (area 42 k ).

In the embodiment of FIG. 7, the channel profiles 36 a , 36 b of the height f of here 35 mm at a distance q from their contact surface 35 of 11 mm are each provided on their outer surfaces 37 with a shaped leading edge 51 of width n of 2 mm. In addition, a hook bar 52 is formed on the right channel profile 36 b in FIG. 7, which forms a channel space 54 below the leading edge and conforms to the other channel profile 36 a . This creates a tight closure of the roof with the possibility of draining water accumulating on the hinge 33 to the side.
