Das Gewindeelement 22, welches wieder als Kopfschraube ausgebildet ist und den Führungsteil 96 sowie das obere Ende des Bandzapfens 100 in halber Höhe des Bandlappens 4 durchgreift und an den Enden der Ausnehmung anliegt, braucht also nur noch als Antrieb für die Verlagerung zu dienen, während die Festlegung weitgehend von den Flanschen 91,92 übernommen wird. Die Bemessung kann so erfolgen, daß, wenn der Führungsteil 96 und die Flanschscheibe 92 an der Fläche 93 aufeinander anliegen, gerade die richtige Vorspannung erreicht ist, die eine ausreichende Festlegung ergibt, aber noch eine Verlagerung durch Betätigung des Gewindeelements 22 zuläßt.At the upper end of the

- A hinge for doors, windows and the like,
comprising a first hinge flap secured to the front surface of the fixed frame of the door, window or the like,
comprising a second hinge flap fixed on the front surface of the movable member of the door, window or the like, said hinge flap engaging by a hinge part over a hinge part of the first hinge flap, where it is pivotally connected to the first hinge flap by a vertical hinge pin extending through the hinge parts,
and comprising a rectilinear guide provided in at least one of the hinge parts and on which the hinge pin can be moved perpendicularly to its axis and locked for the purpose of adjusting the position of the fixing locations on the front surfaces of the fixed frame and of the movable member, and which comprises in the hinge part a recess which is bounded parallel to its direction by parallel flanks and in which the hinge pin engages by a guide part of the same width,
comprising an externally operable drive and locking means comprising at least one screwthreaded element and provided in the recess to displace the hinge pin along the recess and lock it in a position once reached,

- A hinge according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the guide part (96, 106) is transversely divided and the parts are adapted to be drawn together by a screw connection (83).
- A hinge according to claims 4 and 5, characterised in that the distance between the flanges (91, 92) is so dimensioned that when the parts (96, 92; 106, 94) abut one another the flanges (91, 92) abut the hinge part (4, 34) with a predetermined prestressing.
- A hinge according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the screwthreaded element (22, 52) is rotatable in the side wall of the hinge part (4, 34) through a bore (25) extending transversely of the hinge pin (100).
- A hinge according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the screwthreaded element (22, 52) is a cap screw.
- A hinge according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that in the case of a flap hinge the hinge pin (30) comprises two halves (35, 35) between which the guide part (86; 106) is disposed and engages in the middle hinge flap (34).
- A hinge according to any one of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that one flange (79) has a friction-reducing covering (81) which acts as a support for the top hinge part (34).
