Description

The invention relates to a closure device for the gas-tight closure of a standby container for respiratory protective devices consisting of two shells of the same size according to the preamble of claim 1.

In a known closure device of this type, two container shells of the same size are held together under tension by means of a one-piece and narrow tensioning strap, which completely comprises the two container shells, with a closure designed as a toggle lever, the one-piece tensioning strap being captively attached to one of the shells (DE-PS 848 156). The toggle-like closure consists of a bracket pivotally mounted on one end of the band, the outer, hook-shaped end of which engages in two hooks attached to the other end of the band. From this it is clear that the tensioned locking clip must be tilted around to open around the bracket part pivotably mounted on one end of the spring band. In an emergency, this is difficult and unsafe handling for the equipment carrier. Another disadvantage of this known embodiment is also to be seen in the fact that the one-piece, narrow spring band stretched around the two container shells causes an uneven distribution of forces, so that an uneven sealing pressure on the circumference of the seal between the two pressed-together container shells cannot be ruled out.

The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a closure device for the gas-tight closure of a standby container for respiratory protective devices consisting of two shells of the same size, which on the one hand can be opened quickly and easily in an emergency and on the other hand one at all points of the circumferential seal between the shell shell and the shell shell uniform sealing pressure generated.

This object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1.

The advantages achieved by the invention are, in particular, that the closure device for gas-tight sealing of the standby container ensures a uniform sealing pressure at all points of the circumferential seal between the two shell parts and can be opened quickly and safely in an emergency. In addition, all functional parts of the closure device are covered and protected against external influences.

Fig 3).As can be seen from FIG. 1, two trapezoidal tensioning straps 3 and 4 are arranged on the upper shell 1. Hook-shaped parts 5 are formed on the free ends of the longer side 3a or 4a of the trapezoid of the tensioning bands 3, 4, which engage in correspondingly defined counterparts 6, which are arranged at the corner points 2a of the lower shell 2. At the other free ends of the shorter side of the trapezoid of the straps 3 and 4, closure elements 8 and 9 are arranged which hold the straps together under tension in the operating state. The closure elements include, among other things, an unequal-arm tensioning lever 9, which extends with its longer lever arm around the upper edge of the shell 1a to partially to the lower edge of the shell 2a (see FIG. 3).

Hierbei wird jedes der vier Spannbänder auf der oberen Schale 1 getrennt zu den Eckpunkten der unteren Schale 2 geführt und dort befestigt.2 shows a further exemplary embodiment for the design of the tensioning straps with the closure device, the basic idea of the tensioning straps acting in a trapezoidal manner on the container shells is maintained by dividing the two straps 3 and 4 into four straps 3c, 3d and 4c, 4d. Each of the four tensioning straps on the upper shell 1 is guided separately to the corner points of the lower shell 2 and fastened there.

Fig. 4). The standby container then consists of two shells 1 and 2 of the same size, namely the lower shell part 2 and the upper shell part 1, each of which consists of a curved base part 2b and 1b with a vertically raised edge part 2a and 1a, the shell opening being square with rounded corners 2d , 1d (see FIG. 4). Between the two shells 1 and 2, a circumferential sealing ring 10 is arranged in the vicinity of the shell edge. Both shells 1 and 2 are pressed together under tension after receiving the breathing apparatus by means of the sealing ring 10. In the middle of the curved bottom part of the shell top part 1 there is a recess 1e which extends seamlessly up to the raised edge part 1a and in which the closure elements are embedded are.

On the lower shell 2, eyelets 11 are arranged for attachment to a waist belt of the device carrier.
The closure elements themselves consist of three parts, as can be seen from Figures 5 and 6, namely from the two straps 3 and 4 and the tension lever 9. Also in this embodiment of the closure device according to the invention, the basic idea of the trapezoidal shape on the container shells 1 and 2 attacking straps 3 and 4 to achieve a sealing pressure to be generated evenly at all points of the circumferential sealing ring 10 between the lower and the upper shell, by the tensioning straps 3 and 4 at the free ends of the straps across the strapping width for a uniform distribution of forces Have four hook parts 5 protruding in a trapezoidal shape, which engage in correspondingly designed eyelets 6 which are arranged on the lower shell 2 (cf. FIGS. 3 and 4). The shell parts 1 and 2 are advantageously held together under the toggle lever-like tensioning lever 9 under uniform tension.

Fig. 4)As can be seen from FIG. 7, the unequal-arm tensioning lever 9 is rotatably mounted on the free end of the tensioning strap 4 opposite the hook parts 5, the end part 9a of the lever arm being curved. As a result of this measure, the tensioning lever 9 adjusts closely to the shell edges 1a and 2a in the tensioned state. The tensioning lever 9 thus advantageously closes with the outer contour of the shell edges (see FIG. 4).

Fig. 6 und 7). Figur 3 und 5).The axis of rotation 12 of the tensioning lever 9 is supported on two sides in a bearing designed as a housing 13 on the tensioning band 4 (cf. FIGS. 6 and 7). The shorter lever arm 9b of the tensioning lever 9 interacts when the tensioning lever is closed with a hook 14 which is arranged at the end of the other tensioning band 3. In the closed state of the closure, the housing 13 advantageously covers the functional parts of the closure, namely the bearing with the axis of rotation 12 and the shorter lever arm 9b with the hook 14. As a result, these parts are protected against external influences during operation and also do not form any outstanding parts which could injure the equipment carrier (see FIGS. 3 and 5).
