La présente invention est relative à un dispositif de protection, destiné à être utilisé notamment contre des véhicules piégés , ou à intrusion intempestive.   • des moyens pour verrouiller de façon amovible le bord avant du panneau basculant lorsque celui-ci affleure la surface de la chaussée ;
  • des moyens pour commander à distance le déverrouillage du bord avant du panneau , lequel peut alors basculer vers le bas et tomber dans la fosse.

Claims (5)

  1. Protective device intended to be placed across the roadway of a road, comprising :
    - a ditch (4) dug across and below the level of the roadway (1),
    - a tipping panel (7) which covers the upper opening of the ditch (4) when it is flush with the level of the roadway (1), this panel (7) being articulated to a transverse shaft (5) situated at the upper part of the ditch (4), along the edge which is situated therebehind, with respect to the direction (3) by which vehicles arrive,
    - means for removably locking the tipping panel (7), when the latter is flush with the surface of the roadway (1),
    - means for remotely controlling unlocking of the panel (7), which may then tip downwards (arrow 26) and fall into the ditch (4) ;
    characterized in that the transverse shaft (5) is a fixed shaft and that beyond this shaft (5) the panel (7) is extended by spikes (17) which, in retracted position, are housed in a recess (19) of the roadway (1) and are capable to be raised over the roadway (1), facing an intruding vehicle advancing in the designed direction (3), before it arrives to ditch (4), when the front edge (8) of the unlocked panel (7) has fallen into said ditch (4).
  2. Protective device according to claim 1, characterized in that the means for locking the front edge (8) of the panel (7) are formed by a right-angled bracket (9), (10) whose angle is articulated to a fixed shaft (13), disposed transversely to the upper part of the ditch (4), near its front edge (14), the upper leg (9) of the bracket being intended to support horizontally the front edge (8) of the panel (7), when the latter closes the ditch (4), whereas the substantially vertical lower arm (10) of the bracket may bear against the retractable bolt (11) of a remote controlled lock (12).
  3. Protective device according to claim 2, characterized in that retraction of the bolt (11) of the lock (12) is remote controlled by electric means in the circuit (21) of which is further inserted an instantaneous trip.
  4. Protective device according to claim 3, characterized in that the instantaneous trip comprises a switch button (22) of the so-called "punch operated" type.
  5. Protective device according to any one of claims 3 and 4, characterized in that the instantaneous tripping circuit (21) comprises at least one switch (23) actuated by a barrier (2) disposed transversely above the roadway (1), when this barrier (2) is deformed or brocken by a vehicle intending to break through.
