- Cold-sealing self-adhesive waterproofing membranes are produced on conventional roofing membrane systems and generally consist of a carrier, a bituminous cold adhesive layer applied on the underside and usually a non-sticky bituminous top layer. Since these sheets are handled and stored in rolls, their cold adhesive layer is laminated with an easily peelable release film to prevent premature sticking and to protect the adhesive layer. Siliconized plastic films or paper webs are used as separating films. This lamination is usually carried out on the flat web in front of the cutting device.
