Description

The invention relates to a device for combing doll hair, with at least one comb prong carrier, which is equipped with thorns serving as comb prongs for combing hairs attached to the doll head.

The most common method for combing doll hair used so far is to comb hair heads already attached to the doll's head by hand on each individual doll, which requires a considerable amount of work, especially in the production of a large number of dolls, and moreover one of the person and the respective person Time-dependent, depending on the quality of the combing result. This also applies if - as is provided in US Pat. No. 3,120,851 - additional steam is allowed to flow out of the combing device, with the added factor that such steam treatment would not be possible for different types of doll hair.

Even with the use of rotating carriers, such as are known from the hairdressing sector, for example through US Pat. Nos. 3,750,680 and 3,894,547, there is no decisive improvement in combing doll hair, since this does reduce the effort somewhat, and the time required to comb through the hairstyle Doll is almost not reduced compared to the usual hand brushes.

The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a device for combing doll hair, by means of which the hair on several doll heads can be combed simultaneously, uniformly and practically without manual labor.

To achieve this object, it is provided according to the invention in a doll of the type mentioned at the outset that the comb tine carrier is designed to be rotatable or drivable in the form of a band, the comb tine carrier and its drive elements being held on a support frame which has a support for several doll heads, which are preferably made of stainless steel manufactured support consists of a trough for several doll heads to be arranged in a row next to one another and a flat plate adjoining the longitudinal edge of the trough for supporting the extended long hair, which is combed by the thorned comb prong carrier arranged above this plate, and that between the support of the doll heads and the comb tine carrier is arranged a row of upwardly projecting tines which form a rake-shaped mounting of the doll heads relative to the comb tine carrier.

The advantages of this arrangement are, on the one hand, that it enables the hair on several doll heads to be combed at the same time, which means that, compared to the previous arrangement of the hair on each individual doll head, using a comb or a brush by hand, it is uniform and carried out by the person carrying out it Independent combing result achieved and by the possible simultaneous processing of several doll hair heads also an economical way of working is achieved. For reasons of economy, the movement of the comb tine carriers by means of an electric drive is primarily provided, but of course the device according to the invention can also be used instead of the electric drive by moving the rollers via a hand lever and can therefore also be used if, if necessary temporarily, no electric current is available.

Also of crucial importance for achieving the object on which the invention is based is the support, which is preferably made of stainless steel, from a trough for several doll heads to be arranged in a row next to one another and from a plate adjoining the longitudinal edge of this trough for supporting the extended long hair, which in this embodiment is combed from thorn-mounted carriers arranged above this plate. In conjunction with securing the position of the doll heads by means of a series of upwardly projecting tines, which form a rake-shaped mounting of the doll heads relative to the combing device, an undesired change in the position of the doll heads is prevented without having to be done by an operator in detail, as in previous manual processing to be held.

Instead of the flat plate provided for spreading the main hair, on which the long hair is combed by the comb-pronged carrier equipped with thorns arranged above this plate, in a modification of the inventive concept a comb-pronged carrier can also be provided as a support, which is arranged below the extended long hair, so that the latter between the lower comb tine carrier and the upper comb tine carrier is combed by both comb tine carriers.

To support this function, the tines of the rake-shaped holder arranged on a bar can have end sections bent in the direction of the central axis of the doll support, with which they embrace the doll heads on their side facing the combing device.

A band which is equipped with riveted aluminum pins and guided over two rollers spaced apart from one another and is preferably moved by means of an electric drive can be provided with particular advantage as a comb tine carrier. Instead, however, the device can also have a plurality of thorn-equipped rollers serving as comb-tine carriers, which are arranged in synchronous motion behind one another and are mounted on a support frame.

In order to expand the working possibilities with the device according to the invention, it is also within the meaning of the invention to arrange the rake-shaped holder of the doll heads together with their support so that they can be displaced relative to the comb tine carriers.

The arrangement according to the invention should also be advantageously designed in such a way that the support rollers with the combing belt or the thorn-loaded rollers are held in a lockable manner at different distances from the dolls heads, the support rollers of the combing bands or the comb-tine carriers can be mechanically connected to the pressure cylinders causing their change in position, which serve to bring the combing device into the working position or rest position. The change in the distance between the comb teeth carriers and the doll hair heads serves, among other things. also to the fact that their angle of attack with respect to the hair rest can be changed in order to be able to vary the intensity of the combing process as required, for example depending on the type of fiber from which the doll's hair is made.

The combing device according to the invention can be operated both with a single comb tine carrier, which spans the entire working width, or with several next to one another arranged combing belts or thorn-equipped rollers, where appropriate a different number, arrangement and / or thickness of the aluminum pins or other mandrels serving as comb teeth can also be provided.

In order to exclude injuries to the operating personnel and also to meet the safety regulations, the comb prong supports are protected according to the invention by an overlapping bowl-shaped cover, so that only the area which comes into contact with the doll's hair is exposed. A handle bar is also attached to this cover, with which its position and, if provided for constructionally, the position of the combing device can be varied at the same time.

A combing device according to the invention designed in this way has proven itself in practical use and has a support frame with a support frame arranged underneath for the drive unit of the comb tine carriers, the drive transmission elements of which are enclosed by a protective housing provided on the side next to the support frame and whose power supply is accommodated in an equipment box, which is arranged below the shelf for the doll heads projecting forward over the leg frame of the support frame and has on its front panel operating elements for switching the mechanical combing device on and off and for regulating its speed.

The device shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 for combing hairs 2 attached to doll heads 1 has band-shaped carriers 3 for processing the doll hair, which are equipped with thorns 4 which have the function of comb teeth. Both in the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, and also according to the modified exemplary embodiment of the invention shown in FIG. 3, a support 11, preferably made of stainless steel, is provided on the upper side of the supporting frame 7 for the doll heads 1 and the hair heads 2 attached to them. This support 11 consists of two parts, namely a trough 12 for a plurality of doll heads 1 to be arranged side by side and a flat plate 14 adjoining the longitudinal edge 13 of this trough as a support surface for the long hair 15 on the doll head 1.

A rake-shaped holder 16, which is formed by a series of upwardly projecting prongs 17, which are fastened on a strip 18 at the edge 13 between the support depression 12 and the support plate 14, serves to fix the doll heads 1 during the combing process. Their free end portions 19 are bent in the direction of the central axis of this trough 12 and thus encompass the back of the dolls' heads, thereby also limiting the pulling action of the combing device on the attachment of the hair head 2 to the dolls head 1. The trough shape for the support of the dolls heads allows you to choose different inclined positions. Although the rake-shaped holder 16 is generally sufficient to hold the doll heads during their processing and the arbitrary arrangement also allows doll heads of different sizes, deviating from the illustrated exemplary embodiments, an additional fastening option to be used as required, for example in the form of pins, can also be provided which the doll's neck is attachable to.

While in the embodiments described above, the combing bands or combing rollers act exclusively on the doll's hair head from above, the modified combing device illustrated in FIG. 4 provides for the long hair head 15 not to be worked on a table 14, but also for the hair also from below to comb out. For this reason, two comb tine carriers arranged one above the other are provided, in addition to a comb belt 3 guided over the rollers 5 and 6, and an additional comb belt 32 which runs over the carrying and transport rollers 33, 34. The doll head itself is also supported, as in the previous exemplary embodiments, with the aid of a support trough 12 and is fixed relative to the moving combing means by means of a rake-shaped holder 16, which is formed from upwardly projecting prongs 17 bent as described.

However, it is also within the meaning of the invention to provide a movable doll head rest and holder, as shown in FIG. 5, instead of the rigid, rake-shaped holder 16, in which the doll head rest 35, together with the tines 36 attached to it, gripping the hair head, reciprocally in the direction of the arrow is movably arranged so that the entire bar with the doll heads 1 can be moved away from the combing device and thus the hair can be brought out of the engagement area of the comb tooth carrier.

In addition, it should be noted. That, in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, instead of the combing belts shown, thorn-equipped rollers, as indicated in FIG. 3, can be used.

In order to bring the hair heads 2 of the doll heads 1 into contact with the combing belt 3 or the thorn-loaded rollers 28, 29, 30, the combing device is brought out of its rest position into the working position. In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, this is done in that the roller 5 carrying the combing belt 3 is moved in the direction of the support plate 14, which can be effected for example with the aid of a lever 20. If a corresponding intermeshing of the parts required for the adjustment of the combing roller 5 is provided, the change of position can also be carried out with the aid of the handle bar 21 which is attached to the cover 22 protecting the combing pins. This change in the angle of attack between the combing roller 5 and the support plate 4 serves to vary the intensity of the combing process, which can be useful for reasons of different hair size and different types of fiber material from which the hair is formed.

In order to bring the doll combing device according to the invention into the working position, the comb teeth carriers can also be moved from their rest position into the working position and vice versa with the aid of automatically actuated pressure cylinders, not shown in the figures.

However, it is also within the scope of the invention to provide several combing bands 3 equipped with thorns 4 in different arrangements on the roller 5 and to process doll hair heads of different materials according to the mandrel density, their dimensions and, if appropriate, the choice of their material, or also the doll hair to be processed first with the aid of a relatively coarse combing tape and then with finer, approximately brush-like tape formation.

The invention should of course not be limited to the number of thorned rollers shown in the embodiment of FIG. 3 and the arrangement of their mandrels.

It is also within the scope of the invention to form the support recess 12 for the doll heads 1 together with the support plate 14 for the hair heads 15 of different lengths and the intermediate holding strip 18 for the prongs 17 of the rake-shaped holder 16 in one piece.

To facilitate their practical use, the combing device according to the invention forms a transportable unit, consisting of the support frame 7 in the form of a table with a support plate 14, on the frame of which the preferably gradually adjustable mounting of the support and transport rollers 5 and 6 for the combing belts 3 is supported and the has a support and fastening device 9 for the drive unit 8 between the support plate 14 and its mounting surface, the control means of which are accommodated in a device box 23 and can be switched on and off or regulated via operating elements 25 provided on the front plate 24 thereof. The trough-shaped support 12 for the doll heads 1 projects forward over the leg frame 26 of the support frame 7. It is supported by cheeks 27 attached to the side of the frame 7 and, if necessary, additionally by placing it on the equipment box 23.

Claims (11)

1. Device for combing dolls' hair, with at least one comb tooth carrier (3, 28, 29, 30), which is equipped with spikes (4) acting as comb teeth for combing tufts of hair (2) fixed to the doll's head (1), characterised in that the comb teeth carrier is driven rotatably or in the manner of a belt, the comb teeth carrier (3, 28, 29, 30) and its drive elements (5, 6, 8) being mounted on a supporting frame (7), which has a rest (11) for a plurality of dolls' heads (1), in that the rest (11), which is preferably formed of high-quality steel, consists of a trough (12) for a plurality of dolls' heads (1) to be arranged next to one another in a row and of a plane plate (14) abutting the longitudinal edge (13) of the trough (12) for supporting the spread-out long hair (15), which is combed by the spiked comb teeth carrier (3, 28, 29, 30) mounted above the plate (14), and in that, between the rest for the dolls' heads and the comb teeth carrier a row of upward-projecting teeth (17) is located, which form a rake-like mount (16) for the dolls' heads (1) opposite the comb teeth carrier (3, 28, 29, 30).

Device for combing dolls' hair, with at least one comb teeth carrier (3, 28, 29, 30), which is equipped with spikes (4) acting as comb teeth for combing tufts of hair (2) fixed to the doll's head (1), characterised in that the comb teeth carrier is driven rotatably or in the manner of a belt, the comb teeth carrier (3, 28, 29, 30) and its drive elements (5, 6, 8) being mounted on a supporting frame (7), which has a rest (11) for a plurality of dolls' heads (1), in that the rest (11), which is preferably formed of high-quality steel, consists of a trough (12) for a plurality of dolls' heads (1) to be arranged next to one another in a row, a rotary comb teeth carrier (32) being mounted adjacent to the longitudinal edge of the trough (12) and below the long hair (15), which is spread out on the comb teeth carrier (32) and is combed thereby as well as by the spiked comb teeth carrier (3, 28, 29, 30) mounted above the plate (14), and in that, between the rest for the dolls' heads (1) and the comb teeth carrier (3, 28, 29, 30), a row of upward-projecting teeth (17) is located, which form a rake-like mount (16) for the dolls' heads (1) opposite the comb teeth carrier (3, 28, 29, 30).
