Hand-held device according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the teeth (2) are each connected for rotation with a gear wheel (17') or friction wheel, the rotary drive means of adjacent teeth (2) engage with one another and at least one rotary drive means can be driven in alternating directions of rotation by means of a rotary drive.

Hand-held device according to one of claims 1 to 12, characterised in that the hand-held device (1) has a handle section (6) and a head section (7) carrying the teeth (2), these sections preferably being releasably connected to one another by means of a drive coupling or housing coupling (22).
