Description

The invention relates to a tub support for different types of bathtubs of approximately the same edge dimensions, consisting of a body made of polystyrene particle foam delimited by square outer surfaces and having a density of 15-50 kg / m3, which is inserted from above by inserting a bathtub into the recess (4) provided for this purpose. , which has an extension for receiving the overflow pipe, can be covered and which has recesses from below, one of which is designed as a mounting chamber, the upper recess being formed symmetrically to the vertical longitudinal center plane through the envelope surface from those outer points which are in the superposition all contours of the basins result in bathtubs to be used in different ways.

A tub support of the type mentioned is known from DE-U 8 507 269.9. The longitudinal outer surfaces of this tub support are both identical and an expansion of the recess for receiving the overflow pipe is only provided on one of the two narrow sides of the tub support.

The object of the present invention is to provide a tub support which, in addition to the installation of all bathtubs, in particular symmetrical to the vertical longitudinal plane, of a standardized group with the same horizontal external dimensions but different shapes of the basin and arrangement of the drain, also the choice of the drain end and the choice the visible surfaces of the tub support.

The object is achieved in that the two longitudinal outer surfaces are designed differently and that in each of the two narrow sides an extension of the upper recess for receiving the overflow pipe is provided, each of which is associated with an assembly chamber.

With the new tub support, the client can choose between the two side walls as a visible surface shortly before installation, regardless of which end the connection of the tub must be arranged. In this way, the inventory is reduced and the freedom of choice is left open until the last moment, so to speak.

The further embodiment of the invention can be found in the dependent claims.

It is also astonishing that despite the reduction in wall thickness due to the larger recess and the lack of attachment to the (steel) bathtub, sufficient stability of the tub support with polystyrene particle foam with a special weight of 15-50 kg / m3, preferably 25 - 40 kg / m 3 can be achieved, which can be supported in particular by a wall that runs through the assembly openings. This wall is only partially removed during assembly after the tub support is fixed to the floor. So the tub support has sufficient dimensional stability both for handling during assembly and after fastening on the floor. Due to the great variability of the tub support, it is also possible to design the side walls differently, for example by specifying a slope or a step. By turning the beam around the vertical axis, the building owner can still determine on the construction site which of the differently designed sides he prefers as the visible surface.

Finally, by horizontally enlarging the upper recess by a few cm, the bathtub can be moved laterally so that either a strip remains free along the tub support for tiling or the bathtub comes to rest under the wall tiles, which in the latter case facilitates a seal along the wall becomes.

The support of the bathtub by elements in the area of the floor is particularly advantageous since the vertical forces are transmitted to the building in the shortest possible way.

Suitable for such a purpose are, for example, elements of different thicknesses, which are selected depending on the space available. These can be foamed, side by side ribs, from which the ones not required are broken off and removed at predetermined breaking points. Line-shaped or flat inserts with different heights, which are held, for example, in a groove against displacement, are also conceivable, with insulating material in particular having proven itself as the material.

Finally, the use of a flat wedge, which can be moved in the longitudinal direction depending on the distance from the base of the tub, is also practical, since it enables the slope and height to be easily compensated. In order to avoid moving the bathtub in the tub support parallel to the short side, adhesive surfaces can be attached to the laterally non-displaceable wedge, which are provided, for example, with a film which is removed shortly before installation to anchor the bottom of the bathtub.

Another possibility is to introduce a two-component mixture of polyurethane on site via depressions and / or channels, which firmly connects the bathtub to the tub support after foaming and hardening, the non-required foam being able to flow into cavities (recesses) via pressure-reducing throttling points, to avoid lifting the bathtub.

To absorb the lateral forces, it is advantageous to mount brackets which stiffen the construction between the edge of the upper recess or upper region of the wall of the tub support and the opposite outer surface of the bathtub. This prevents the bathtub from tipping over and prevents flaking of the tiles with lateral forces due to the then only slight deformation of the wall.

A two-component foam made of polyurethane is particularly suitable for mounting is inserted over grooves or open hollow chambers of the wall. After foaming, possibly causing the foam to swell at the notches and curing, the tub support and bathtub are firmly connected.

Another type of bracing can be provided by spacers between the inner surface of the wall of the tub support and the surface of the bathtub facing the tub support. Simple blocks can be used as spacers, which are attached to the tub support or the bathtub by gluing or nailing before installation. Spacers, such as wedges or eccentrics, are a better solution and can also be adjusted by pulling elements or pressure elements after the bathtub has been inserted.
