Abstract

A method and a device are used for filling packaging containers, in particular tubular sachets or the like, with predetermined weight doses of a fluid, powdery or finely ground material. The filling material is introduced into the packaging containers by gravity. At intervals, a dosing auger (16) controlled by the rotational speed gravimetrically transfers a predetermined quantity of the filling material from a first reservoir (12) to the packaging container (39). Finally, a quantity of filling material roughly corresponding to the quantity dispensed is brought from a second reservoir (27) to the first reservoir (12) of filling material during a period of time corresponding to the period of stopping the packing machine.

Description

Verfahren und Vorrichtung zum dosierten, gewichtsgerechten Abfüllen einer vorbestimmten Menge eines fl ießfähigen Abfüllguts Method and device for the metered, weight-appropriate filling of a predetermined amount of a flowable filling material
3.3. The invention relates to a method and a device according to the preamble of claims 1 and 3 respectively.
It has hitherto been customary to meter a predetermined amount of a flowable filling material in two ways and to place it in packaging containers, in particular in tubular bag packs. Dosing is carried out volumetrically according to one method and gravimetrically according to the second method.
The volumetric dosage has the disadvantage of being extremely imprecise, which results in considerable weight differences in the contents of the packs. Wherever greater accuracy is required when portioning the filling goods, replenishment systems with a shut-off weigher are used, which, however, cannot be used for tubular bag packaging machines due to the connection of the packaging container to the packaging machine. But even these devices, which are supposed to allow a relatively high level of accuracy to be achieved, show that this is ultimately not sufficient in practice, because the overfill required by the provisions of the prepackaging regulation reaches a level which is acceptable not inconsiderable losses for the bottling company. This fact is illustrated by the example given below.
For example, if a package is to contain 1,000 g of a filling good, the filling-related shortage must not be greater than 15 g. Since experience has shown that the filling device works with a tolerance of + 20 g, the average of all packs is an average minimum weight of the filling quantity of 1,005 g. This means that the overfill is at least 5 g per pack. If, for example, 1.2 million packs are produced in one year, this is Overfilling at least 6,000 kg per year. With a kilogram of DM 20 assumed, the overfilling of only 5 g with a 1,000 g pack results in a loss of DM 120,000.
It is the object of the invention to considerably improve the metering accuracy in the case of automatic filling of a certain quantity of a flowable, powdery or finely granulated filling material in order to ensure system-related overfilling of the packs, which were previously required for reasons of pollution, in compliance with the legal provisions of the prepackaging regulation and can reach a significant extent to a minimum.
To achieve this object, it is proposed according to the invention to apply the measures specified in the characterizing part of patent claim 1 and preferably also of claim 2.
In the device designed in a particularly suitable manner for carrying out the method according to patent claim 1, those features are achieved which result from patent claim 3.
In the drawing, the device for carrying out the method designed according to the invention is shown on the basis of a particularly preferred exemplary embodiment.
Die Eintragsschnecke 23 wird über das Getriebe 28 von dem Antriebsmotor 29 in Drehung versetzt.1 shows in a schematic representation the device designed according to the invention for the metered, weight-appropriate filling of a predetermined amount of a flowable, powdery or finely granulated filling material in a particularly advantageous manner. A frame 11 carried by a frame (not shown in more detail) serves to support the filling material container 12, which rests with its three claws 13 on load cells 14. The cladding tube 15, in which the discharge screw 16 is located, which is coupled to the drive shaft 17 of the drive motor 18, is flanged to the lower outlet end of the conical filling material container 12. The hollow shaft 19 surrounding the drive shaft 17, which drives the agitator blades 20 located in the interior of the conical filling material container 12, is coupled to the agitator drive motor 22 via a gear 21. An entry screw 23 is arranged above the frame 11, the screw housing 24 of which has an outlet 25 projecting into the filling material container 12 without contact. The feed screw housing 24 is connected via a pipe socket 26 to a storage container 27 for the filling material, which container is not shown in detail. The feed screw 23 is set in rotation by the drive motor 29 via the gear 28.
The load cells 14 are connected via the electrical lines 30 via a measuring amplifier and analog / digital converter 31 to a control unit 32, which processes the values transmitted to it. The control unit 32 processes the above-mentioned values and gives and receives pulses via the lines 33 to and from the motor controller 34, which in turn drives the motors 18 and 29 in accordance with the predetermined sol curve of the product-specific time / weight diagram ms, one of which For example, shown in Fig. 2B controls. For control purposes and to maintain a certain level in the container 12, a feeler 35 is provided, the sensor 36 of which protrudes into the container 12 ' . This device is also coupled to control unit 32 via line 37.
The device described above and shown in FIG. 1 is operated in the manner according to the invention described in more detail below. In order to achieve the highest possible dosing accuracy, the quantity of filling material held in the filling material container 12 is kept relatively small and constant so that the weights and weight differences of the device supported on the weight measuring cells 14 are kept as small as possible. Due to the constant amount in the filling material container 12, the static pressure prevailing at each point is approximately the same and is therefore subject to only minor, negligible fluctuations due to the system. In addition, it can be achieved with the selected embodiment that influences, such as vibrations, acting on the system from the outside are largely suppressed, if not completely avoided. This also has a positive effect on the improvement of the dosing accuracy. The vertical discharge screw 16 in the cladding tube 15 surrounding it is driven by the drive motor 18, preferably in the phase-gated electric motor, the speed of which can be set to a specific value between 0 and 1200 rpm, and cyclically, as can be seen in particular from the graph 2A can be seen. In this case, 16 conveys the discharge screw a vor¬ certain amount of Abfüllguts in the ange¬ under the lower opening 38 arranged packaging container 39. Once the predetermined amount Abfüllgut has been discharged, the control device 32 switches over the 'Motorregier 34 the drive motor 18 from, whereby any no further delivery of bottled goods. At the same time, the drive motor 29 is switched on, by means of which the feed screw 23 enters approximately as much filling material into the filling material container 12 as has previously been discharged from it. Starting from the weight of the device matched to the weight load cells, including the contents thereof, it is now assumed that the next quantity of filling material will be dispensed, as can also be seen in a simple manner in FIG. 2A. The discharge is expediently carried out by the discharge screw 16 in two stages. In a first stage, approximately 90 to 95% of the metered quantity of filling material to be dispensed is applied, and in the second stage with the speed of the discharge screw 16 being slowed down, the remaining amount, in order to also reduce the accuracy in the desired manner in this way improve.
