Definitions
- the invention relates to an applicator for applying a correction fluid to a recording medium, with a reservoir holding the correction fluid, an application tip tapering on the front side toward the outlet opening and an axially displaceable sealing element which closes the outlet opening and partially projects outward beyond the application tip.
- the front end serves as an application element, the opening provided at the front end being closed by a sealing body which protrudes with its tip and is pressed resiliently into this rest position.
- a sealing element moves towards the inside of the tip and correction fluid can escape from the reservoir, which is connected to the application tip, through an annular gap between the end of the sealing element and the wall of the tip.
- This well-known scraper has an almost circular tip. It is therefore difficult to apply the correction liquid in different line widths.
- the invention is in particular the object to provide a Verstreicher of the type mentioned for applying a K orrekturmaykeit, which is the same both for canceling or overlapping individual characters as well as lines or line sections, respectively only a single attaching required .
- Several constant line widths should be selectable.
- the end of the application tip has the shape of a cutting edge, the length of which measures a multiple of its width.
- the advantage of the invention can be seen in the fact that by rotating the cutting edge or a different angular position of the cutting edge with respect to the application direction, a uniform, sharp-edged, continuous application of correction fluid in different line widths is possible.
- the correction liquid can overlap on the recording medium can be avoided, since the correction process can be carried out with just one line in a selectable length and width. Accurate dosing of the correction liquid on the recording medium without overlap points results in a saving of correction liquid and thus a longer lifespan of the coating agent in addition to the more uniform appearance of the corrected points.
- the length of the cutting edge corresponds essentially to the height of a typewriter capital letter in order to be able to use such a brush for applying a correction fluid in a simple manner for letters written with a typewriter.
- Another feature of the invention is the fact that the width of the cutting edge measures about a fifth of its length. By turning the cutting edge by 90 °, a line thickness five times as thin can be achieved when applying correction fluid. This is particularly advantageous for individual letters, e.g. To be able to delete "I” or "t” within a word without hitting adjacent letters.
- Fig. 1 denotes the cutting edge of a tip of an applicator for correction fluid.
- the brushing surface of the cutting edge 1 is named, which forms the application surface for the correction fluid.
- the cutting edge 1 is delimited by end faces 3 and 4, which are roof-shaped, so that a cutting face 2 results. the length of which is about five times its width.
- a plunger 5 of a sealing element protrudes from the cutting edge 1 and, by countersinking the plunger 5, releases an outlet opening for correction fluid.
- the roof-shaped end faces 3 and 4 bring about an exact stroke width on their intersection with the coating surface 2, which results in a sharp-edged stroke when the correction fluid is applied.
- a sharp-edged correction line can be achieved by moving the cutting edge in the longitudinal direction as well as in the transverse direction. Upon movement of the blade 1 in the longitudinal direction of the correction line is only as thick as the width of the blade 1. By rotating the Verstreichers about the axis of the plunger 5 a wider correction line can, while retaining the moving direction in the boundaries between cutting width and S drawn chneidenmother be. All construction not necessary for the immediate understanding of the invention Features, for example the sealing element or the reservoir of the expander, are omitted in the figures.
- the cutting edge 1 is shown in cross section, which shows how right and left side surfaces 6 and 7 produce a right and a left edge 8 and 9 on their intersection lines with the coating surface 2.
- a small fillet 10 is worked into the cut surface 2 in the longitudinal direction of the cutting edge 1.
- the plunger 5 of the sealing element protrudes beyond the cutting surface 2.
- correction liquid gets into the fillet 10, collects in it and, when in contact with the base, is stripped off by the edges 8 and 9, depending on the direction of movement of the cutting edge.
- the fillet 10 advantageously generates a constant supply of correction fluid in the vicinity of the application point. The result of this is that the flow of correction ink to the recording medium is prevented from breaking off.
- the space in the fillet 10 is dimensioned so that drying out too quickly and also spilling is avoided.
- FIG. 3 shows in the same view as FIG. 1 a cutting edge 1 with a plunger 5 and with end faces 3 and 4 which converge towards one another in a roof shape.
- an elongated fillet 11 is arranged in the longitudinal direction of the cutting edge.
- the effect of this fillet 11 is essentially the same as that of the small fillet 10 in FIG. 2.
- correction liquid is conveyed into the fillet 11 and causes the correction color to spread when it spreads over the entire length of the cutting edge 1. Due to the almost acute-angled intersection of the cutting surface 2 with the right and with the left end face, a particularly sharp line is produced in this embodiment of the invention.
- the fillet 12 lying in the transverse direction to the cutting edge 1 extends only partially around the plunger 5 and, as shown in FIG. 1, the rest of the coating surface 2 is flattened.
- the end faces 3 and 4 are, like in the cutting edges shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, roof-shaped.
- the operation of this amplifier is essentially the same as that described in the previous figures.
- the brushing surface 2 of the cutting edge 1 has a toothing 13 running in the transverse direction. in which the correction liquid can be kept evenly distributed in the vicinity of the recording medium before stripping.
- the cavities between the teeth 13 can be connected to one another by a longitudinal slot.
- FIG. 6 corresponds essentially to that of FIG. 5.
- the cutting edge 1 is shown here in cross section and has a toothing 14 on its strike surface 2 which runs in the longitudinal direction of the cutting edge 1.
- a supply of K may be retained orrekturmaykeit here also into the space formed by the longitudinal toothing cavities.
- Fig. 7 the end of the cutting edge 1 is provided with a curved coating surface 15.
- the plunger 5 is again in the center of the coating surface and the coating surface 15 is delimited at the edges by the roof-shaped inclined end surfaces 3 and 4.
- the operation of this arrangement is illustrated by the dash-dotted line 16.
- Line 16 is intended to represent the level of the record carrier when plunger 5 is pressed in.
- a reservoir 17 for the correction fluid is formed between the plunger 5 and the intersection of the right end face 3 and the coating surface 15.
- the scraper with the cutting edge 1 must first be placed vertically on the recording medium, in order then to be inclined with a corresponding flow of the correction liquid into the space 17 such that the intersection between the end face 3 and the coating surface 15 also touches the recording medium. By rotating the scraper around the plunger axis, a correction line of different widths can now also be produced.
- Strength in F. 8 shows a cutting edge 1 with a brushing surface 2 provided with bristles 18.
- the bristles 18 advantageously cause an accumulation of correction fluid in the coating surface 2 when the plunger 5 is depressed. This embodiment can be used particularly on sensitive surfaces.
- the bristles 18 prevent excessive pressure from the applicator and reduce the risk of scratching the record carrier.
- the spring action of the bristles 18 keeps a constant storage space of correction fluid in the immediate vicinity of the recording medium.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an applicator for applying a correction fluid to a recording medium, with a reservoir holding the correction fluid, an application tip tapering on the front side toward the outlet opening and an axially displaceable sealing element which closes the outlet opening and partially projects outward beyond the application tip.
In a known scraper for applying a correction fluid, the front end serves as an application element, the opening provided at the front end being closed by a sealing body which protrudes with its tip and is pressed resiliently into this rest position. When pressure is applied to the tip, a sealing element moves towards the inside of the tip and correction fluid can escape from the reservoir, which is connected to the application tip, through an annular gap between the end of the sealing element and the wall of the tip. This well-known scraper has an almost circular tip. It is therefore difficult to apply the correction liquid in different line widths. So it is possible to draw a single circular point or an infinitely long line from the thickness of the diameter of the circular tip, the obliteration of rectangular typewriter characters or rectangular, machi However, written line sections or lines are only possible by repeatedly placing the order tip on the record carrier and by a second erase line, which is carried out with a steady hand by the elector, parallel to the first line. In addition, the multiple application of the application tip can lead to an irregular flow of the correction liquid and thus to a different coloring or thickness of the correction liquid on the recording medium. Furthermore, when deleting entire line sections, it is difficult to apply two or more parallel deletion strokes with the free hand without these partially overlapping each other. Such overlaps lead to unevenness on the paper surface and give the deleted section an unclean appearance and thus make it difficult to make a correction as inconspicuously as possible.
The invention is in particular the object to provide a Verstreicher of the type mentioned for applying a K orrekturflüssigkeit, which is the same both for canceling or overlapping individual characters as well as lines or line sections, respectively only a single attaching required . Several constant line widths should be selectable.
The aforementioned object is achieved in that the end of the application tip has the shape of a cutting edge, the length of which measures a multiple of its width. The advantage of the invention can be seen in the fact that by rotating the cutting edge or a different angular position of the cutting edge with respect to the application direction, a uniform, sharp-edged, continuous application of correction fluid in different line widths is possible. With the aid of the device according to the invention, the correction liquid can overlap on the recording medium can be avoided, since the correction process can be carried out with just one line in a selectable length and width. Accurate dosing of the correction liquid on the recording medium without overlap points results in a saving of correction liquid and thus a longer lifespan of the coating agent in addition to the more uniform appearance of the corrected points.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the length of the cutting edge corresponds essentially to the height of a typewriter capital letter in order to be able to use such a brush for applying a correction fluid in a simple manner for letters written with a typewriter. As a result, by pulling the cutting edge transversely to its longitudinal direction, the operator can easily cover individual letters or entire line sections with a single attachment without interruption in one go. The result is a sharp-edged line with a constant line width, which essentially corresponds to the height of a typewriter cover. The one-off and precise line routing makes the correction work easier and gives the corrected position on the recording medium a pleasing appearance.
Another feature of the invention is the fact that the width of the cutting edge measures about a fifth of its length. By turning the cutting edge by 90 °, a line thickness five times as thin can be achieved when applying correction fluid. This is particularly advantageous for individual letters, e.g. To be able to delete "I" or "t" within a word without hitting adjacent letters.

In Fig. 1, 1 denotes the cutting edge of a tip of an applicator for correction fluid. With 2 the brushing surface of the
- When the
cutting edge 1 is placed on a recording medium (not shown), theplunger 5 presses in the direction of the correction fluid storage container (not shown), ie downwards into the tip of the application. The sealing element in the interior of the application tip thus opens the outlet opening and the correction fluid flows through the interior of the tip up to thecoating surface 2, in order to be distributed there uniformly to the right and left in accordance with the movement of the moulder on the recording medium. A thin layer of the correction liquid is formed between the recording medium and thecoating surface 2, which prevents the correction liquid film from tearing off.
The roof-shaped end faces 3 and 4 bring about an exact stroke width on their intersection with the
Strength in F. 2, the
When the spreading agent is placed on a base, correction liquid gets into the
In FIG. 4, the
In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention shown in FIG. 5, the brushing
The arrangement according to FIG. 6 corresponds essentially to that of FIG. 5. The
In Fig. 7, the end of the
Strength in F. 8 shows a
