Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Farbbandkassette der im Oberbegriff des Patentanspruchs 1 angegebenen Art.The invention relates to an ink ribbon cassette of the type specified in the preamble of claim 1.

Line drawing devices on typewriters for drawing horizontal and vertical lines are already known several times. The fact that they can hardly be found in practice should prove enough that they have not proven themselves. the writing process too disabled.

German patent specification DE-C-891 271 discloses a holder device on typewriters for receiving a threaded ballpoint cartridge, in which a threaded holder for receiving the writing cartridge is arranged by means of a clamp on the row plates to the right or left of the type guide head . Here, the row plate made of plastic has a threaded sleeve instead of an insertion hole for receiving the writing cartridge. Such an arrangement interferes with the writing process, in particular in the case of machines in which the print head is arranged on a carriage which can be moved along the record carrier. The replacement of the ballpoint pen cartridges would also require a certain skill from the operator of the machine.

A type wheel printing unit is known from US Pat. No. 4,259,025, which can also be used for a plotter operation. For this purpose, the ribbon cassette is exchanged for a cassette with a displaceable colored pencil contained therein. This plotter device cannot be accommodated in a normal ribbon cassette without disturbing the ribbon transport. If lines are closed during normal write operation the cassettes have to be changed. This leads to a significant reduction in writing performance.

Furthermore, US-A-4,249,025 discloses the possibility of also providing the colored pencil in addition to the ribbon, in which case the pencil is to be arranged above the ribbon. As a result, it is not necessary to remove the ribbon cassette for plottering, but the colored pencil interferes with the replacement of the ribbon cassette.

The invention has for its object to provide an ink ribbon cassette with an additional colored pen, which has an improved plotter device compared to the prior art, such that lines in the horizontal, vertical or other direction can be generated in the simplest way. This object is achieved by the invention characterized in claim 1.

The ribbon cassette has a sliding element with a colored pencil, which is arranged so that it can be moved from a disengaged position to a ready position by means of a handle located thereon. The colored pencil can be attached to the cassette where the writing process is not disturbed. Also, the colored pencil z. B. can be easily replaced by removing the ribbon cassette. When changing the cassette, when the ink ribbon is used up, the colored pencil can be removed from this cassette and inserted into a new cassette. The ribbon cassette with the colored pencil enables you to easily create lines in horizontal, vertical or in any other direction.

The ribbon cassette with the displaceable colored pencil is to be developed in such a way that the colored pencil can be switched on and off by means of a key signal or in online operation using software. This is advantageously achieved in that, when the ink ribbon cassettes are placed on the receiving device of the carriage which can be moved along the recording medium, the displaceable holders with the colored pencils are automatically coupled to electrically controllable drive members in the receiving device. The pens can be brought into the working position by means of electromagnets in operative connection with the drive elements by means of key signals or in online operation by means of software, and can be reset to the starting positions after excitation of the electromagnets by spring force.

Further advantageous refinements of the subject matter of the invention can be found in the further subclaims.

Der Farbstift 16 ist in einer Halterung 17 auswechselbar befestigt, die in eine Aufnahmeöffnung 18 des Kassettengehäuses einsteck- und in dieser in die beiden Endstellungen verschiebbar angeordnet ist.1 shows a carriage 4 which can be moved along a recording medium 1 on axes 2, 3 and has a holding device 5 for the ink ribbon cassette 6. The record carrier 1 is transported by a paper roller 7 in a known manner. The ribbon cassette housing of the ribbon cassette 6 consists of a pot-shaped base part 8 and a flat lid 9. The ribbon 10 is unwound from a supply spool 11 by means of a transport device, led out through an outlet opening 13 to the printing station and then guided via an inlet opening 14 to a winding spool 12 . The ribbon cassette 6 has a receiving device 15 for a colored pencil 16 which, for. B. may consist of a fiber pen or a ballpoint pen refill and resiliently in one end position on the recording medium 1 for generating lines in the vertical, horizontal or in any other direction and is arranged so as to be movable and lockable for decommissioning in another end position. The colored pencil 16 is exchangeably fastened in a holder 17 which is inserted into a receiving opening 18 of the cassette housing and is displaceably arranged in the two end positions thereof.

Die Rastausnehmungen 24, 25 sind vorzugsweise in dem ebenförmig ausgebildeten Deckel 9 des Kassettengehäuses angeordnet, wobei der Deckel 9 gleichzeitig eine Wand der Aufnahmeöffnung 18 bildet.FIG. 2 shows the holder 17 with the colored pencil 16 before it is inserted into the receiving opening 18 of the cassette housing. This bracket 17 consists of an injection molded plastic part that the end 19 protruding from the cassette housing has the colored pencil 16 and at the other end 20 a switching arm 21 which can be inserted into the receiving opening 18. This switching arm 21 is designed to be perpendicular to the direction of displacement of the holder 17 as a shaped spring and is provided with locking lugs 22, 23 which can be latched into locking recesses 24, 25 on the top 26 of the cassette housing for the two end positions. The locking recesses 24, 25 are preferably arranged in the flat-shaped cover 9 of the cassette housing, the cover 9 simultaneously forming a wall of the receiving opening 18.

Incidentally, the locking lug 23 is designed as a push handle such that the holder 17 can be moved from one end position to the other by finger force. The detent 23 is guided when the holder 17 is moved into the two end positions in the detent recess 25 serving as a sliding slot, the detent 23 in the ready position of the colored pencil 16 with a straight edge 33 at the end edge 28 and in the other end position with a rounded edge 34 rests resiliently on the other end edge 29 of the latching recess 25. In the inoperative position of the colored pencil 16, the second locking lug 22 is pressed with a straight edge 35 against the end edge 28 of the locking recess 25.

The second locking lug 22 has on the underside an inclined surface up to 30 as a shaped edge, via which the holder 17 with the colored pencil 16 can be pressed resiliently against the recording medium 1 when the second locking lug 22 engages in the locking recess 24. As a result, a spring force in the sliding direction of the holder 17 against the recording medium 1 is generated in the simplest way. Incidentally, the end 19 of the holder 17 carrying the colored pencil 16 is designed as a guide part with guide surfaces 31, 32. These guide surfaces 31, 32 are slidably mounted in the receiving opening 18.

In Figure 3, the bracket 17 is shown in the inoperative position. If the holder 17 is now to be brought into the ready position, then the locking lug 23 is initially acted upon by finger force in the direction of the arrow 36 in such a way that the locking lug 22 comes out of engagement with the end edge 28 of the locking recess 25. After this unlatching, the locking lug 23 is moved upwards by finger force in the direction of the arrow 37 until the lug 22 engages in the locking recess 24. During this engagement, a uniform, resilient pressing force of the colored pencil 16 against the recording medium 1 is generated via the inclined surface 30 which serves as the shape edge, whereby a constant ruling is made possible.

Hiernach liegt die gerade Kante 35 der Rastnase 22 wieder an der Endkante 28 in der Rastausnehmung 25 an.The holder 17 is reset from the ready position according to FIG. 4 to the inoperative position according to FIG. 3 in that the locking lug 23 is first shifted again in the direction of the arrow 36 and then in the direction of the arrow 38 downwards in the locking recess 25 until the locking lug 22 also in the locking recess 25 engages. Thereafter, the straight edge 35 of the locking lug 22 rests against the end edge 28 in the locking recess 25.

Bei verbrauchter Farbbandkassette sind die Farbstifte leicht in die neue Kassette übernehmbar.FIG. 5 shows the holder 17 with the colored pencil 16 before it is inserted into the receiving opening 18 of the cassette housing. This holder 17 consists of an injection-molded plastic part which has the colored pencil 16 on the end 190 protruding from the cassette housing and a bearing part 210 which can be inserted into the receiving opening 18 at the other end 200. The holder 17 is on the one hand slidably mounted with the cylindrical bearing part 210 in a rear bearing bore 220 and with a bearing pin 230 in a front bearing bore 240 in the receiving opening 18. Furthermore, a projecting, molded spring arm 250 is located in the receiving opening 18, through which the holder 17 with a collar 260 on the bearing block 270 with the bearing bore 240 resiliently in contact in the starting position is durable. The brackets 17 have coupling parts which, when the ink ribbon cassettes 6 are placed on the receiving device 5 of the carriage 4, can be coupled to drive members mounted thereon. For this purpose, the displaceable holders 17 have coupling slots 280 for form-fitting coupling with coupling arms 300 of drive elements which can be pushed through openings 290 in the base 8 of the cassette 6. These coupling arms 300 are arranged at free ends of drive levers 310, which can be brought into one end position by the drive elements for engaging the colored pencils 16 with the recording medium 1 and can be reset to the starting positions by a return spring 320. The drive lever 310 are e.g. B. formed as an armature for electromagnets 330 and are pivoted upon excitation of these electromagnets 330 around the bearing arm 340 in a counterclockwise direction against the force of the return spring 320. This creates a simple drive option for moving the holders 17 with the colored pencils 16, the coupling or uncoupling taking place automatically when the ribbon cassette is placed or removed from the receiving device 5. Since the drive elements remain in the machine, the ribbon cartridges with the colored pencils are only insignificantly more expensive than the normal ribbon cartridges. If the ribbon cassette is used up, the colored pencils can easily be transferred to the new cassette.

To generate lines or line-shaped curves, the holder 17 is brought into the working position with the desired colored pencil 16 by the electromagnet 330 arranged in the printing unit in connection with a key signal or in online operation by means of software. The tightening force of this electromagnet 330 is designed in connection with the spring arm 250 so that a clearly visible line can be generated on the recording medium 1. After de-energization of the electromagnet 330, the drive lever 310 designed as an armature and thus the holder 17 are returned to the starting position by the restoring forces of the springs 250 and 320. As a result, the colored pencil 16 is brought out of engagement with the recording medium 1 again.
