Durch die erfindungsgemäße Ausbildung der Haken 50 an den Greifern 30 können die letzteren ohne Verschwenkung der Haken 50 gegenüber den Greifern 30 vollständig, d. h. so weit in die Abgabestellung eingeschwenkt werden, daß die Haken 50 vom Abstandhalterrahmen 18, genauer dessen obere, horizontale Schenkel frei kommen. Claims (23)

1. Device for fitting spacer frames on glass plates (5) in the course of making insulating glass plates, with a substantially vertical support wall (1) for the glass plates (5) and a frame-like holder (8) in front of the support wall (1) for the spacer frames (18), wherein clamping devices (16) and retractable positioning pins (15) for the spacer frames to be fitted are arranged on the frame-like holder (8) and wherein the upper, horizontal limb (11) of the frame- like holder (8) is displaceable up and down parallel to the support wall (1), characterized in that at least two grippers (17) are mounted on the upper, horizontal limb (11) of the frame-like holder (8), which grippers are movable to and fro between a receiving position arranged at the end of a suspension conveyor (19) for spacer frames and a transfer position, in which the spacer frames are put on to the positioning pins (15) of the frame-like holder (8).
2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the grippers (17) have at least two arms (20, 21) pivotally connected together.
3. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that a ring jaw (26) is provided at the free end of each gripper (17) or the outer arm (21) of the same, wherein at least one ring part (28) is pivotable with respect to the other for opening and closing the ring jaw (26).
4. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that a clip for engaging and holding spacer frames (15) of the gripper is provided at the free end of each gripper (17) or the outer arm (21) of the same.
5. Device according to claim 4, characterized in that the clip is pivotable about a substantially horizontal axis relative to the gripper or the outer arm of the same.
6. Device according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the grippers (17) are mounted on a common shaft (22), which runs parallel to the upper, horizontal beam (11).
7. Device according to claim 1 or 6, characterized in that the grippers (30) carry a hook (32) at their free ends.
8. Device according to claim 7, characterized in that the hooks (32) are mounted relative to the grippers (30) to pivot about a substantially horizontal axis, wherein the hooks (32) have free ends substantially horizontally directed in the swung in position and free ends substantially vertically directed in the swung out position.
9. Device according to claim 7 or 8, characterized in that the end positions of the hooks (32) relative to the grippers (30) are secured by spring means.
10. Device according to claim 8, characterized in that each hook has a projection (34) extending beyond its pivotal axis (33), which projection is subject to the action of a compression spring (39) supported on the gripper (30).
11. Device according to claim 10, characterized in that the spring (39) is received in a tubular part (35) which has slots (37) at its end opposite its end connected by a pivot (36) to the projection (34) of the hook (32), which slots an traversed by a pin (38) connected to the grippers (30).

15. Device according to claim 14, characterized in that the free ends (54) of the hooks (50) are without engagement with the spacer frames (18) bearing on the positioning pins (15) in the lower end position of the grippers (30).
16. Device according to claim 14 or 15, characterized in that the hooks (50) are prolonged (53) beyond their pivotal axis (51) and in that a pressure medium motor (52) engages at the end of the prolongation (53).
17. Device according to one of claims 14 to 16, characterized in that the hooks (50) are pivotable in the sense of a reduction in the angle between them and the gripper (30).
18. Device according to one of claims 1 to 17, characterized in that there are provided at the lower horizontal limb (10) of the frame-like holder (8) at least one lever member (55) for raising the lower horizontal frame limb of a spacer frame (18).
19. Device according to claim 18, characterized in that the lever member (55) or the lever members (55) are provided preferably in the central region of the limb (10).
20. Device according to claim 17 or 18, characterized in that the lever members (55) are upwardly open bows, which are pivotally arranged about a horizontal axis (57).
21. Device according to claim 20, characterized in that the bows have a bent and a straight section, the transition between the bent and the straight section with the bow swung upwardly being arranged alongside the clamping devices (16) for the spacer frame (18) which are arranged on the lower limb (10).

Device according to one of claims 1 to 21, characterized in that the positioning pins are held on the limb (11) of the frame-like holder (8) by parallelogram links (44), the positioning pins being adapted to be raised and lowered into and out of their working position by a common operating shaft (45) for the parallelogram-like arrangement (44).
23. Device according to one of claims 1 to 22, characterized in that the framelike holder (8) is arranged fixed to the machine frame transverse to the plane defined by it and in that the support wall (1) for the glass plate (5), on which a spacer frame (18) is to be placed, is guided transverse to the plane of the glass plate (5) (arrow 13) in the machine frame on the frame-like holder (8), slidable to and away from this.
