Eine Reguliereinrichtung der eingangs genannten Art ist beispielsweise aus der US-PS 45 23 440 bekannt. Dort wird eine Fadenbremse mittels eines Elektromotors in ihrer Bremswirkung verstellt, wobei der Motor in Abhängigkeit von der Anzeige eines Fadenspannungsmessers entweder in der einen Drehrichtung zur Verstärkung der Bremswirkung oder in der anderen Drehrichtung zur Verminderung der Bremswirkung betrieben wird. Durch diese Bremswirkungs­regelung soll erreicht werden, daß für gleiche Gestrick­ stücke auch immer gleiche Fadenlängen verarbeitet werden, so daß auch gleiche Gestrickabmessungen gewährleistet wer­den können.
Es hat sich bei diesen Fadenspannungs-Reguliereinrichtun­gen aber herausgestellt, daß durch die vielen Fadenleit­organe und Fadenüberwachungsvorrichtungen, über welche ein Faden von einer Garnspule bis in den Arbeitsbereich einer Strickmaschine geleitet werden muß, starke Fadenspannung­schwankungen auftreten. Diese dauernden Fadenspannungs­schwankungen führen auch zu einer dauernden Anzeigetätig­keit des Fadenspannungsmessers, wenn man dessen Empfind­lichkeit nicht so stark herabsetzt, daß die angestrebte Wirkung der Einrichtung verlorengeht. Betreibt man den Fadenspannungsmesser in einem wünschenswerten Empfindlich­keitsbereich, muß die Fadenspannung an der Fadenbremse praktisch dauernd ausreguliert werden.

Die gestellte Aufgabe wird bei der genannten Fadenspan­nungs-Reguliereinrichtung erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, daß in Fadendurchlaufrichtung unmittelbar vor der automa­tisch einstellbaren Fadenbremse eine die dem Faden auf seinem Weg von der Garnspule bis zur Fadenbremse auferleg­ten Spannung aufhebende Fadenfördervorrichtung angeordnet ist und daß zwischen der Fadenbremse und dem in Faden­durchlaufrichtung nachgeordneten Fadenspannungsmesser ein an sich bekannter Fadenaufholspanner angeordnet ist.
