Claims (9)

1. Verfahren zum Zerstören von toxisch wirkenden organischen Abfallprodukten der elektrischen, chemischen oder nuklearen Industrie ohne Gefahr der Bildung von ebenfalls toxischen sekundären Zersetzungsprodukten, das als Hauptschritt einen Dampfcrackschritt umfaßt.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, in welchem dieses Dampfcracken in einem reduzierenden Medium in Anwesenheit von Wasserstoff bewirkt wird.
3. Verfahren nach nach Anspruch 2, in welchem die Wasserstoffmenge 1 bis 1,5 Nm3/kg des zu behandelnden Produktes beträgt.
4. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 2 oder 3, in welchem der erforderliche Wasserstoff von einem Industrie- oder Haushaltsgas geliefert wird.
5. Verfahren nach Anspruch 4, in welchem das Industriegas Kokereigas oder Rauchgas ist.
6. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, in welchem die Dampfcrackreaktion bei einer Temperatur von 1000 bis 1500°C bewirkt wird.
7. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, in welchem das Dampfcracken durch oder mit überhitztem Wasserdampf und oxhydrische Verbrennung bewirkt wird.
8. Verfahren nach Anspruch 7, in welchem die zur oxhydrischen Verbrennung notwendige Wasserstoffmenge einem Überschuß von 2, bis 10%, bezogen auf stöchiometrische Bedingungen, entspricht.
9. Vorrichtung zum Durchführen des Verfahrens nach Anspruch 1, die eine Verbrennungs- und Mischkammer mit einem Wasserstoff-, Sauerstoff-und Wasserdampfeinlaß, mindestens einen Reaktor, der die Verbrennungskammer verlassende Mischung und das zu behandelnde Produkt aufnimmt, und am Ablaß dieses Reaktors Einrichtungen zur Kondensation und Behandlung der Reaktionsprodukte umfaßt.
