Description
The invention relates to a suction nozzle consisting of a nozzle body enclosing a suction chamber and provided with a connecting suction nozzle, the open side of which is closed with a fixed or replaceable attachment plate made of metal or plastic and having a suction opening.
Suction nozzles for cleaning surfaces are known and widely used as vacuum cleaner nozzles with and without attachment plate to be attached to the nozzle body. Nozzles with brush bristles, bristle material or felt are used to clean carpets and smooth surfaces. For good work performance, the suction effect of the vacuum cleaner itself also plays a major role. However, such attachment plates attached to the nozzle body worsen the suction effect. In addition, the nozzles stick and tend to suck onto the surface to be cleaned, with a mechanical effect being added to the air effect caused by the suction. The disadvantages of the known vacuum cleaner nozzles therefore consist, on the one hand, of a relatively high energy requirement required by the hammered suction effect and, on the other hand, of the force to be used to actuate the vacuum cleaner. In addition, different nozzle designs are required for carpets and smooth surfaces to be cleaned. For high-pile carpets, for example, specially designed nozzles with individual cylindrical suction tubes have been developed. Apart from the fact that such Nozzles are only suitable for high-pile carpets, they also have the shortcomings mentioned. Other known metal attachment plates for vacuum cleaner nozzles with brush trimmings have, on their outer side, longitudinal elevations which create air channels for cross flows. However, these nozzles also do not work optimally, since the numerous cross currents encountered by the edge suction partially inhibit one another and thereby impair the perfect suction.
The object of the invention is to provide a suction nozzle of the type mentioned, which can be used for all surfaces to be cleaned without special accessories and which can achieve a better cleaning effect than with the known vacuum cleaner nozzles with less energy and less effort.
This object is achieved by a suction nozzle of the type mentioned in that on the outside of the facing plate several axially juxtaposed and merging, substantially circular or oval chambers are provided, at least some of which are too open to the suction chamber and as a suction opening into it open into each chamber, and at least one tangential air supply duct, which starts from the longitudinal edges of the facing plate and is closed off from the suction chamber, opens tangentially, the air supply ducts starting from the one longitudinal edge of the facing plate forming a first row and those starting from the other longitudinal edge second row forming air supply channels each lead offset into the chambers, and the air supply channels on one side of the Suction opening intersecting transverse line of the front plate to the air supply channels on the other side of the transverse line are arranged in mirror image.
Expedient developments of the suction nozzle according to the invention are characterized in the subclaims.
Such a suction nozzle is particularly suitable for vacuum cleaners and in such a vacuum cleaner nozzle the full suction power of the vacuum cleaner and thus the energy used is optimally used. The air supply ducts that open tangentially into the chambers create rotational currents and a cross flow, this cross flow flowing in one direction over the surface to be cleaned. This ensures that the dirt particles get into the suction chamber in a practically aligned manner and are suctioned off. The cross currents of the attachment plate of the vacuum cleaner nozzle designed according to the invention are subdivided into eddy currents, the sum of which result in a single cross current which consists of eddy currents arranged in a row. In each individual chamber and thus also on the surface to be cleaned which is in contact with this chamber, the sucked-in air rotates at high speed, which creates a cyclone-like effect which loosens and removes dirt and fiber particles. With the full suction power of a household vacuum cleaner, rotational speeds of the air vortices were up to 15,000 rpm in the individual chambers. measured. The eddy currents, for example, cause the pile of a carpet to be cleaned to vibrate sideways, here loosened, the dust conveyed upwards into the chamber and discharged through the cross flow. This also applies when vacuuming deep-pile carpets. The outer surface of the facing plate is smooth and glides easily over any surface to be cleaned, no matter how rough it is. The support plate is relatively large and the air supply channels always remain open. Sucking the front panel into the pile of a carpet and thus partially closing the air supply or suction channels, which ultimately results in the high pushing force required in conventional vacuum cleaners, does not occur. The front plate made of metal or plastic with the smooth outer surface and the high working line can also be used to extract water and, for example, to clean swimming pools. In addition to the excellent work that is achieved by an attachment plate according to the invention, this also offers manufacturing advantages, since it can be manufactured from a single piece according to a template.
- Fig. 1 eine verkleinerte, schematische Seitenansicht einer herkömmlichen Staubsaugerdüse;
- Fig. 2 eine Unteransicht einer Vorsatzplatte; und
- Fig. 3 eine Längsschnittansicht III-III einer Vorsatzplatte gemäß Fig. 2.
- Figure 1 is a reduced, schematic side view of a conventional vacuum cleaner nozzle.
- Fig. 2 is a bottom view of an attachment plate; and
- 3 shows a longitudinal sectional view III-III of an attachment plate according to FIG. 2.
The vacuum cleaner nozzle (Fig. 1) consists in a conventional manner of a nozzle body D with connection suction port S. On the open side of the nozzle body D, an
An
In the illustrated embodiment of the
In the second row, the
This arrangement shown is useful, but not mandatory.
In a preferred embodiment of the
The depth of the
The attachment plate can be firmly connected to a nozzle body, but it can also be detachable and thus replaceable like other attachment plates or additional brushes. There are numerous devices for this, which allow the plate to latch onto the nozzle body.
