- Figur l zeigt das Grundelement in der Perspektive mit acht quadratischen Durchbrüchen und in der Ansicht von der geschlossenen Seite. Das Grundelement hat die Länge L, die Breite B und die Dicke h₁. Der Abstand der Durchbrüche voneinander beträgt a und der Abstand der Durchbrüche zu den äußeren Begrenzungen a/2.
Figur 2 zeigt einen Schnitt durch das Grundelement an der Stelle der Durchbrüche.- Figur 3 zeigt einen Schnitt durch zwei spiegelbildlich an den offenen Flächen aneinandergeschweißte oder geklebte Grundelemente l, lʹ an der Stelle der Durchbrüche.

Wie man erkennt, können erfindungsgemäß gestaltete Grundelemente durch Zusammenfügen ihrer offenen Flächen aneinander auf die folgende Art und Weise zu großflächigen Platten der unterschiedlichsten Gestalt zusammengefügt werden:
- 1. spiegelbildlich
- 2. spiegelbildlich mit Versatz
- 3. spiegelbildlich mit Versatz und Drehung im rechten Winkel.
- 1. mirror image
- 2. mirror image with offset
- 3. mirror image with offset and rotation at right angles.
Diese Platten können mittels quadratischer bzw. runder Achsen oder mittels spezieller Verbindungselemente miteinander verbaut werden.
- Figur 4 zeigt zwei Grundelemente l, lʹ, welche mit ihren offenen Seiten spiegelbildlich zusammengefügt sind. Diese Grundelemente haben 4 × 2 = 8 Durchbrüche. Da der quadratische Durchbruch das Maß a × a hat, errechnet sich die Länge L des Grundelements wie folgt:
4 × Durchbrüche von der Kantenlänge a = 4a
+ 3 × Abstand zwischen den Durchbrüchen vom Betrag a = 3a
+ 2 × Abstand zu den äußeren Begrenzungen vom Betrag a/2 = a,
Länge l des Grundelementes mit 8 Durchbrüchen somit = 8a.
Die Breite b des Grundelementes errechnet sich folgendermaßen:
2 × Durchbrüche vom Maße a = 2a
+ l × Abstand zwischen den Durchbrüchen vom Betrag a = la
+ 2 × Abstand zu den äußeren Begrenzungen vom Betrag a/2 = la,
Breite b des Grundelementes mit 8 Durchbrüchen somit 4a.
Bei einer Dicke h₁ des Grundelementes von a/2 betragen somit die Abmessungen eines Grundelementes mit 4 × 2 = 8 Durchbrüchen L × b × h₁ = 8a × 4a × a/2.
Fügt man zwei Grundelemente zu einer Platte mit 8 Durchbrüchen zusammen (s. Figur 4), so hat die Platte die Abmessungen 8a × 4a × a. - Figur 5 zeigt eine Platte mit 4 × 4 = l6 Durchbrüchen, zusammengefügt aus vier gleichartigen Grundelementen l, lʹ, lʺ, l‴.
Diese Platte hat dann die Abmessungen 8a × 8a × a. - Figur 6 zeigt zwei
Grundelemente 2, 2ʹ, welche mit ihren offenen Seiten spiegelbildlich zusammengefügt sind. Diese Grundelemente haben 6 × 3 = l8 Durchbrüche.
Da die quadratischen Durchbrüche das Maß a × a haben, ergeben sich für die aus denGrundelementen 2, 2ʹ zusammengefügte Platte die Abmessungen l2a × 6a × a. - Figur 7 zeigt eine Platte mit 6 × 6 = 36 Durchbrüchen, zusammengefügt aus 4
gleichartigen Grundelementen 2, 2ʹ, 2ʺ, 2‴.
Diese Platte hat dann die Abmessungen l2a × l2a × a.
