Abstract

Claims (16)

1. A corner deflection guide arrangement of a locking bar fitment in which the locking bars (16, 20) are slidably mounted in receiving grooves (12) of C-shaped configuration in the frame (1) of the movable portion of a window or a door, the receiving grooves (12) on all members of the frame of the movable portion of the window or the door are of the same cross-section and have inwardly extending edge bars (13) which are removed in the corner region of the frame to form a mounting opening, with an angular, integrally formed housing (6) which can be secured to the frame and a deflection member in the form of a spring strip (2) which is guided in the limbs (7, 8) of the housing and which is provided at the ends with entrainment members (3, 4, 5) for the associated locking bars (16, 20), characterised in that in the corner region the housing (6) has an assembly opening for the spring strip (2) which is provided at the ends with the entrainment members (3, 4, 5), the assembly opening can be closed by an angular cover (34), the one limb (7) of the housing (6) can be introduced into the receiving groove (12) in a frame member and the other limb (8) of the housing can be secured to the edge bars (13) of the associated receiving groove (12) of another frame member by means of a snap connection, the other limb (8) of the housing (6) has an outside floor portion (18) and is opened inwardly and the one limb (7) of the housing is provided with an inside floor portion (19) and is opened outwardly, the outside floor portion (18) and the inside floor portion (19) terminate at a spacing from the corner and define apertures (26, 27) in the corner region of the housing at one side and the one locking bar (16) is slidably mounted beneath the other limb (8) on the groove floor portion (17) and the other locking bar (20) is slidably mounted in the region of the one limb (7) on the edge bars (13) of the receiving groove (12).
2. A corner deflection guide arrangement according to claim 1 characterised in that an arcuate guide portion (28) for the inward side of the spring strip (2) is provided between the apertures (26, 27).
3. A corner deflection guide arrangement according to claim 1 characterised in that the other limb (8) is fixed by retaining means to the edge bars (13) of the associated receiving groove (12) in the frame member of the movable portion of the window or door.
4. A corner deflection guide arrangement according to claim 3 characterised in that the other limb (8) is respectively provided at the lower longitudinal edges with a retaining limb portion (14) which engages behind the edge bar (13) of the receiving groove (12) and a bar portion (15) which extends parallel to the retaining limb portion (14) and which bears against the outside surface of the edge bar (13).
5. A corner deflection guide arrangement according to claim 1 characterised in that a limb (40) of the cover (34) has grooves (41) which are open outwardly and at the ends for receiving edge bars (13) of the receiving groove in a frame member and can be pushed from the mounting opening of the corner of the frame, in which the edge bars (13) are removed, on to edge bars (13) which extend to the mounting opening.
6. A corner deflection guide arrangement according to claim 5 characterised in that the limb (40) of the cover (34) has a cover plate (42) which extends as far as the end of the outside floor portion (18) and which at the end is provided with at least one tongue (43) which engages under the outside floor portion (18).
7. A corner deflection guide arrangement according to claim 5 or claim 6 characterised in that on the inside the angular cover has a guide web (38) for the outward side of the spring strip (2), with an arcuate internal contour.
8. A corner deflection guide arrangement according to claim 7 characterised in that the guide web portion (38) extends entirely over the length of a limb of the cover and partially over the length of the second limb.
9. A corner deflection guide arrangement according to claim 7 or claim 8 characterised in that the cover (34) has wall portions (35) which extend parallel and at a spacing from the central guide web portion and which are externally provided with retaining limb portions (33) and which can be resiliently engaged into retaining openings in side portions (31) of a limb of the housing.
10. A corner deflection guide arrangement according to claim 9 characterised in that the side portions (31), on the inside, have retaining openings which extend in the longitudinal direction of the limb (7) of the housing and which are delimited by retaining limb portions (32).
11. A corner deflection guide arrangement according to claim 10 characterised in that at the end towards the corner the side portions (31) have projections (36) which positively engage into openings (37) in the cover (34).
12. A corner deflection guide arrangement according to claim 1 characterised in that a limb of the cover (34) externally has a guide groove (44) for a fitment portion, which guide groove is of a C-shaped configuration and is opened outwardly and at both ends.
13. A corner deflection guide arrangement according to claim 1 characterised in that the path of movement of the entrainment members (3, 4, 5) which are fixed to the spring strip (2) is in the region of the limbs of the housing.
14. A corner deflection guide arrangement according to claim 13 characterised in that the entrainment members are in the form of pins which are in one piece with a shoe (47) secured to the spring strip.
15. A corner deflection guide arrangement according to claim 14 characterised in that the shoe (47) comprises two plates (48, 49), the width of which is less than the width of the spring strip (2), and the plates are arranged on both sides of the spring strip and are connected together by plate material extending through bores (50) in the spring strip.
16. A corner deflection guide arrangement according to claim 15 characterised in that there are two rows of bores which are arranged at a spacing from the longitudinal centre line and in mutually displaced relationship.
