Description

The invention relates to a hood-shaped ridge cover according to the preamble of the main claim. A ridge cover is generally known, which is hood-shaped and serves as a support and ventilation element. The known ridge cover has a fastening section running in the longitudinal direction of the ridge, on which the ridge cover is connected to the ridge batten. This is followed in cross-section by an upwardly curved hood-shaped area which runs in the direction of the roof pitch and which overlaps the roof tiles adjacent to the ridge. So that the ridge cover can form a seal against rain and snow, it is adapted at its end overlapping the roof tiles to the profile of the roof tiles. The ridge cover thus has a profile which is adapted as precisely as possible to the wave valleys and wave crests of the Dachstein profile.

In the area of the troughs, ventilation troughs are provided, the outward opening of which points in the direction of the roof pitch. The ventilation troughs ensure an air flow from the outside of the roof into the space below the ridge tiles, whereby the air on the other side of the roof can escape again through appropriate ventilation troughs. Since the ridge cover in the area of the ridge has openings that allow air to flow from below the roof tiles into the ridge area, good overall roof ventilation is achieved. The suction effect caused by the air flow through the ventilation troughs is particularly responsible for good roof ventilation is produced. In order for the ridge cover to provide protection against rain and snow to the desired extent and good ventilation can be achieved, appropriately shaped ridge covers of the known type are required, depending on the roof pitch.

The invention has for its object to provide a ridge cover that is suitable for different roof pitches in wide areas.

The solution to this problem is obtained by the features specified in the main claim. Accordingly, the hood-shaped ridge cover is characterized in that, when viewed in cross section, the upper part of the ridge cover F adjoining the fastening section is arched upwards relative to the fastening section and then initially merges into a straight section which is angled downwards and which at the vertices of the profiling of the roof tiles ends that this section of the profiled part is angled inward at an obtuse angle, this profiled part having recesses adapted to the profiling of the roof tiles and having a width corresponding to the height h of the profiling, such that the ventilation troughs on the outside pointing in the direction of the roof pitch Opening area have a curvature radius r, which corresponds approximately to the profile height h of the roof tiles, and that the curvature of the ventilation troughs with the radius is determined by the fact that the circular point lies on the upper edge of the profiled part.

By adapting the curvature radius to the profile height of the roof tiles, a ridge cover is obtained that is suitable for practically all roof pitches.

The radius of curvature can increase towards the firewall.

The section having the profiling is designed such that it sits vertically on the roof tiles with a roof pitch of 40 °. The obtuse angle can be 140 ° and the angle between the section running vertically downwards and the curved upper part can be 130 °.

In order to optimally adapt to different roof pitches, an elastic web protrudes at right angles from the outer end of the trough opening, which is part of the profiled section. The elastic web can have a width of a few millimeters and a lower material thickness than the other parts of the ridge cover. The desired elasticity is achieved due to the lower material thickness.

The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings. Show it:
Fig. 1

Fig. 2

Fig. 3
the arrangement of the ridge covers on the ridge of a roof.

The ridge cover shown in FIG. 1 has an elongated fastening section 1, to which a hood-shaped part 2 adjoins. This has an upper arched Part 3, which merges into a downward section 4, which is then followed by a profiled part 5 angled inward at an obtuse angle. The section 5 has semicircular recesses 6 and straight webs 7, which are adapted in their course to the profiling of the roof tiles.

The recesses 6 overlap the crests of the Dachstein profiling. In the area of the wave troughs, the ridge cover has ventilation troughs 8, at the outer opening of which the webs 7 adjoin at right angles. In the direction of arrow a, an air stream can be guided along the ventilation troughs 8 under the firebox 9. The air flow can emerge on the other side of the roof from corresponding ventilation troughs, wherein an air flow can be drawn in according to the direction of the arrow b by suction. Openings 10 are provided for the air flow running in the direction of arrow b.

The radius of curvature r of the ventilation troughs 8 corresponds approximately to the height h of the profiles in the exemplary embodiment shown, the width of the profiled part 5 also corresponding to the height h and the course of the curvature of the ventilation troughs 8 with the radius r being determined by the circular point on the upper one Edge of the profiled part 5 lies. The radius of curvature must essentially be maintained in the opening area 11, whereas the radius of curvature can increase in the area 12 facing inwards.

In Fig. 3 overlapping ridge stones 13, 14 are shown, the rest on the ridge covers F protruding to the left and right of the ridge batten 15.

The profiled parts 5 overlap roof tiles 16, which rest on roof battens 17.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the ridge stones 13, 14 lie only partially on the curved upper part 3 of the ridge covers F, since the ridge stones overlap. However, the curvature of the upper part 3 can also have a different radius than the ridge stones.
