Description

The invention relates to a roof rebate tile, the top of which is formed by a central field, a cover fold field located higher relative to the central field, a side fold part adjoining the middle field laterally and a top fold part adjoining the middle field and the cover fold field.

In a known roofing tile of this type (DE-PS 12 55 276), special measures have been taken to increase the security against the ingress of wind, flying snow and driving water. These exist. a. in that in the area of the Wasserfalzecks a locking body is arranged and that cutouts in the corner areas of the tile are designed so that the covering body is not covered in the covering by the side rebate part and by the head rebate part of the tile, but in the area of a peripheral body is provided on the underside of the cover seam field, which extends through the opening formed in the corners of the neighboring tiles and engages around the blocking body of the underlying brick. Roof rebate tiles of the same type have also become known (DE-OS 29 06 472) which do not have a locking body with an associated surrounding body, but which contain other measures in the water rebate corner to increase the rain penetration security of the roof tile.

The well-known roof tile has proven itself in the sense of the described objective. However, it has been found that in the case of relatively flat roofs and in areas where rain is associated with high wind speeds, as is the case in monsoon areas, a water build-up can occur in the region of the middle field delimited by the side fold part and the cover fold field. In combination with a wind pressure caused by high wind speeds, this water build-up can be driven into the top rebate part covered by the next roof tile, from where the water can then penetrate into the roof, despite the sealing measures described above.

The object of the invention is therefore to design a roofing tile of the type specified in such a way that security against rain entry is ensured even at very high wind speeds or very flat roof pitch.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the middle field in the two corner regions, which are formed by the side fold part and the top fold part as well as by the top fold part and the cover fold field, each have a wind deflection surface which increases in the direction of the head fold part.

The invention is based on the consideration that even a larger water accumulation in the area of the middle field does not result in a risk of water entry if it is possible to keep the wind pressure acting on the water accumulation low even at very high wind speeds. This is achieved according to the invention by creating wind deflecting surfaces which rise upwards in the two corner regions of the middle field and which cause a deflection of the air flow upwards directly in front of the top fold part. Surprisingly, it has been shown that the intended success is only achieved to a sufficient extent if the wind deflection surfaces are limited to the corner areas, i.e. a closed wind deflection surface running across the entire middle field is avoided.

The wind deflection surfaces provided in the corner areas can have different shapes within the scope of the invention. It is particularly advantageous to design them in such a way that they both in the direction of the top fold part and in the transverse direction thereto, i.e. So rise on one side to the side fold part, on the other side to the cover fold field. This favors the apparently occurring lateral or diagonal deflection of the air flow. In the simplest embodiment of the wind deflecting surfaces designed in this way, they are approximately triangular, the triangle tip forming the highest point being in the corner formed between the side fold part and the top fold part or between the top fold part and the cover fold field.

It has been shown that an influence on the air flow in the intended sense is achieved only by extending the height of the wind deflector surfaces only over part of the height between the central field and the top seam field or between the center field and the center field on the foot seam side of the tile next to the roof. However, maximum protection against rain penetration is achieved when the wind deflection surface in the corner area on the rebate side increases to the height of the corner seam area and the wind deflection area in the corner area on the side seam side increases to the height of the top of the roof tile next to the roofing. This not only makes it more difficult for the higher threshold to cross the water accumulation in the immediate corner areas, but above all achieves the flow control effect so pronounced that even at very high wind speeds (up to 40 m / sec) and with a roof pitch of e.g. 15 ° Rain penetration security is given.

  • Fig. 1 eine Draufsicht auf die Oberseite eines erfindungsgemässen Dachfalzziegels;
An embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the accompanying drawings. The drawings show:
  • Figure 1 is a plan view of the top of an interlocking tile according to the invention.
  • Fig. 2 is an end view of the interlocking tile according to FIG. 1, seen from the foot side (with the front faces kept dark for clearer emphasis), and
  • Fig. 3 is a schematic representation of several roofing tiles according to the invention in the covering.

The. Roof rabbet tiles shown in FIG. 1 have a central panel 1, a cover panel 2, a side panel part 3 adjoining the center panel 1 on the left and a top panel portion 4 adjoining the center panel 1 and the top panel panel 2. As can be seen from FIG. 2, the cover fold field 2 lies against Above the center field 1 considerably higher, for example by 5 cm, and is largely flat in the exemplary embodiment shown. The side fold part 3 and the top fold part 4 are provided with side fold or head fold ribs, of which in particular the head fold ribs 41 and 42 are made relatively high and run transversely at the same height. The design and arrangement of the top and side rebate ribs and their interaction with the underside of the roof rebate tile (not shown) are known and therefore do not require any further explanation at this point.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the center panel 1 and the top seam panel 2 extend equally far upwards and adjoin the top rebate part 4 along an imaginary line running transversely to the roof tile. As can be seen from FIG. 1, they have a narrow rectangular shape and each occupy about half of the top of the brick exposed in the covering. According to the invention, wind deflection surfaces 11, 12 are now provided in the two corner regions, which form the central field 1 on one side with the side fold part 3 and the top fold part 4 and on the other side with the top fold part 4 and the top fold field 2, which start directly from the The top of the middle part 1 rises approximately diagonally to the corners formed by the side fold part 3 and top fold part 4 or head fold part 4 and cover fold field 2. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the wind deflection surfaces 11, 12 are largely flat and therefore have the shape of triangles. The wind deflection surface 11 on the side rebate side rises to a height which corresponds to the position of the upper side of the roof tile next in the covering, as can be seen from FIG. 3. The cover fold-side wind deflector surface 12, on the other hand, is higher and reaches the level of the cover fold field 2 with the tip Covering can support a rebate rib 15 provided on the underside of the roof tiles. As a result, the next roof tile in the covering closely adjoins the wind deflector surfaces 11, 12, so that an air flow running in the longitudinal direction of the central field 1 is gradually raised above the level of the next upper central field 1 in each row of roof tiles. This avoids that rainwater running down in the area of the center field 1 is jammed and pressed over the top fold ribs.

Within the scope of the invention, deviations from the exemplary embodiment shown can be made. Thus, as already mentioned at the beginning, the wind deflection surfaces 11, 12 do not need to run flat on their upper side, but can be grooved concavely. Furthermore, the dimensions of the wind deflection surfaces 11, 12, which in the exemplary embodiment shown make up about 1/6 to 1/8 of the length of the middle field in the longitudinal direction of the middle field 1, can be changed.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the above-described, approximately half division of the roof tile surface exposed in the covering or to the approximately flat design of the central field and / or the top fold field. Also, in such roof tiles that are laid on the roof edge, the side rebate part 3 can be designed similarly to the top rebate section 2, i.e. have no folded ribs on the top of the tile, so that the interlocking tile has a double bead shape. In this case, the two wind deflection surfaces 11, 12 are expediently formed symmetrically to one another, since the field which replaces the side fold ribs will generally be at the same height as the cover fold field.
