Abstract

An auxiliary switch hookup assembly in a motor contactor includes a slide member biased by a spring and forming a portion of the limiting wall for the reception of an auxiliary switch. The spring force exerted by the biasing spring can be greater than a total force exerted by restoring and contact compression springs of the motor contactor.

Description

The invention relates to an arrangement for auxiliary switch mounting on motor contactors with an actuating projection which protrudes from the auxiliary switch housing and can be brought into engagement with an opening in the contact bridge support of the motor contactor.

In a known arrangement of the type mentioned above (DE-A 2 248 029), the actuating projection projects into an adapted opening in the contact bridge carrier. The auxiliary switch itself is attached to the motor contactor housing with screws. With such an arrangement, care must be taken that the magnetic path of the motor contactor is smaller than the possible auxiliary switch path. In addition, a special adjustment of the auxiliary switch to the motor contactor is necessary, which the customer cannot easily do.

The invention is therefore based on the object of demonstrating an arrangement for auxiliary switch mounting in which magnetic path compensation can be achieved without difficulty.

In an arrangement of the type mentioned above, this is achieved in a simple manner in that the opening limitation which actuates the auxiliary switch is formed by a slide which is adjustable against a spring, the spring force being greater than the total force of the return and contact pressure spring of the auxiliary switch.

Tappet drives for push buttons with a relatively large overrun are known per se (DE-U 1 760 279). In order to also be able to switch off the loose parts between the contact bridge support and the actuation approach and to be able to insert the actuation approach into the opening without difficulty, it is advantageous if an insertion bevel for the actuation approach and an attachment approach for the actuation approach on the slide at the opening limit opposite the slide is arranged that when inserting the actuating approach into the opening there is a slide displacement. In order not to have to move the slide by an excessive amount when inserting the actuating attachment, it is advantageous if the slide rests on a latching attachment on the contact bridge support in the spring opening direction. In order to be able to use the same type of auxiliary switch with motor contactors with different magnetic paths and to enable the customer to replace auxiliary switches, it is advantageous if the auxiliary switch can be connected to the motor contactor by means of a snap connection with the motor contactor. It has proven to be advantageous if the intermediate part is U-shaped and can be screwed to the web on the motor contactor via elongated holes and has openings on one U-leg for receiving mushroom-shaped formations of the auxiliary switch and latching elements on the other leg for latching with the auxiliary switch . A simple tensioning between the auxiliary switch and the intermediate part can be achieved if a tension spring protrudes from the web for tensioning in the snap-in state between the auxiliary switch and the intermediate part.

An exemplary embodiment according to the invention is described with reference to the drawing and the cultivation is explained in more detail.

The motor contactor 1 shown in FIG. 1 comprises the fixed magnetic part 2 with the magnetic coil 3. The movable magnetic part 4 is connected in an articulated manner via a bolt 5 to the contact bridge carrier 6, which receives the contact bridges 7 and the contact pressure springs 8. Guide parts 9, which serve to guide the contact bridge carrier and to couple the auxiliary switches 10, are positively inserted into the contact bridge carrier 6. Guide webs 11, which protrude into a recess 12, are formed in the guide part 9 and cooperate with grooves 13 in a slide 14. A spring 15 is held in the recess 12, which is supported on the one hand on a boundary wall of the recess 12 and on the other hand on the bottom 31 of the slide 14. The projection 16 on the slide 14 is only so wide that it can be inserted into the recess 12 under the guide webs 11 after the spring 15 has been inserted. When the spring 15 is compressed, the webs 11 engage in the grooves 13 and the lugs 17 are locked behind the locking hooks 32 on the guide part 9. An insertion bevel 18 is used to insert the actuating projection 19 for the auxiliary switch 10. An attachment projection 20 on the slide 14 here facilitates the insertion of the actuating projection 19, since the slide is displaced against the force of the spring 15 when the actuating projection 19 is inserted, ie the actuating projection 19 backlash-free with the guide part and thus connected to the contact bridge support 6. An intermediate part 21, which in the present case is bent from a sheet of metal in a U-shape, serves to hold the auxiliary switch 10 on the motor contactor 1. Fastening screws 23 pass through the web 22, specifically through elongated holes 24 which are screwed into the housing of the motor contactor 1. The position of the legs 25 and 26 can be predetermined with an emptiness, so that the auxiliary switch 10 can be snapped into the desired position in the intermediate part 21 and, if necessary, can also be exchanged without having to carry out any adjustment work. Here, a mushroom-shaped extension 27 engages in an opening 28 in the leg 25. After pivoting in, locking means are used 29 on the leg 26 and on the auxiliary switch 10 for latching the auxiliary switch 10 with the intermediate part 21. A sheared spring 30 tensions the intermediate part 21 and auxiliary switch 10. Thus, the auxiliary switch 10 is also connected to the housing of the motor contactor 1 without play. In order to also prevent the auxiliary switch from pivoting, two openings 28 and two mushroom-shaped projections 27 are provided. In the present arrangement, there is the advantage that the actuating projection 19 may already have reached the stop for the auxiliary switch 10 before the magnetic path of the motor contactor 1 has run through completely. The amount of the magnetic path can be made larger by the path of the slide 14, ie it can be worked with much larger tolerances. As shown above, assembly and assembly are very simple.
