Description

The invention relates to a latching device for a stop rail which is arranged displaceably in a lower punch part and is provided with a plurality of latching recesses spaced apart from one another, with a spring arranged on the punch bottom part and a spring which bears against the stop rail under prestress under the action of the spring and can be detachably latched into the latching recesses Latching element, the spring consisting of a one-piece spring clip made of flexible material which has a spring web which is convex to the side of the stop rail.

The stop rail facilitates the precise punching of paper without prior center folding. The stop positions of the stop rail are assigned to different paper formats. The positional accuracy of the perforation essentially depends on the fact that the stop rail engages reliably and without play in its locking positions. A known locking device of the type mentioned (DE-A-602315) has a spring clip made of flexible material, the ends of which can be moved freely in a recess in the lower part of the punch when the spring clip is pressed and which engages from below against a locking element which can be locked into the locking recesses carrying feeler lever can be pressed. If another format is to be punched, the locking element is moved downwards against the pressure of the spring clip by pressing the feeler lever and the desired mark is set on a pointer by moving the rail. The lever must then be released to lock the locking element into the locking recess. The manufacture, assembly and operation of the known latching device has proven to be particularly simple Punch proved to be too expensive.

Proceeding from this, the invention has for its object to develop a locking device of the type specified that is easy to manufacture, assemble and handle and that still ensures a play-free locking of the stop rail and therefore a very high position accuracy.

To achieve this object, the combination of features specified in claim 1 is proposed according to the invention. Further advantageous refinements and developments of the invention result from the dependent claims.

The invention is based on the idea that a one-piece locking spring made of flexible material, which can be made free of play with its locking element in the direction of displacement of the stop rail, is very easy to manufacture and also meets high demands on the positioning accuracy of the stop rail by suitable design measures. In order to achieve this, it is proposed according to the invention that the locking member is designed as a locking cam formed centrally on the spring bar and that the spring clip bends at the opposite ends of the spring bar at the opposite ends of the spring bar in the direction of displacement of the stop rail from the side opposite the stop rail at mirror images of the same angle , with its free ends on the lower part of the punch fixed spring legs. The term "convex" mentioned at the beginning does not necessarily mean a convex curvature. The spring bar Rather, it can also have two flat flanks which are bent towards one another at an obtuse angle in the middle of a bending line running transversely to the direction of displacement. In this case, the locking cam is advantageously arranged centrally on the bending line of the spring bar.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the spring legs are aligned essentially parallel to one another. Advantageously, at the free ends of the spring legs on bending lines extending transversely to the direction of displacement of the stop rail, foot parts pointing towards one another are bent. The spring legs and the foot parts expediently form an essentially right angle with one another. The outward-facing broad sides of the foot parts can be supported against a bottom-side abutment surface of the lower part of the punch, while the spring clip with the free edges of the foot parts can be clamped under tension between shoulders facing one another in the direction of displacement of the stop rail in the lower part of the punch. Furthermore, the foot parts on their upper side facing the spring legs can be positively overlapped by a cover part rigidly connected to the hole lower part. The cover parts can be integrally formed on a cover housing which can be snapped into the lower part of the hole and which engages over the detent spring and the cover rail.

The spring clip 10 shown in the drawing is intended for use in a letter punch and serves there as a detent spring for a stop rail 14 provided with a plurality of spaced-apart locking recesses 12. The spring clip 10 essentially consists of a spring bar 16, two on the front sides Ends of the spring bar on bending lines 18 on the side opposite the stop rail bent, essentially parallel spring legs 20, one each on bending lines 22 on opposite sides of the spring legs 20 outwardly bent foot parts 24 and a centrally arranged on the spring bar, designed as a bulge, into the latching recesses 12 of the stop rail 14 latching cams 26. The spring bar 16 has two flat flanks 16 ', 16''bent at an obtuse angle to one another at a central bending line 28. The spring clip 10 is supported with the downward-facing broad side surfaces of its foot parts 24 against a bottom-side abutment surface 30 of the lower part 32 of the punch and lies beneath the free edges of the foot parts 24 Preload against mutually facing shoulders 34 in the lower part of the punch. So that the spring clip 10 cannot be accidentally pulled out of its clamping between the shoulders 34, the foot parts 24 are positively overlapped on their upper side by a cover part 36 of a cover housing rigidly connected to the hole punch lower part 32.

The spring clip 10 can be easily inserted into the housing 32 from the outside under prestress. The pretension does not permit any longitudinal movement and, as a result, causes the stop rail 14 to rest without play in its direction of displacement. As can be seen from FIG. 2, the spring web is bent downward by a spring travel d when the latching cams 26 are pressed, while at the same time the two spring legs are bent symmetrically outward by the same spring travel e. This ensures that the locking cam 26 performs a pure vertical movement without lateral deflection.
