Description

The invention is based on a water-carrying household appliance, such as a washing machine or dishwasher, with a process water inlet hose entering the housing in the lower region, which is connected on the inlet side to an electrically switchable valve and on its section outside to the lower region of the housing with a closed one and is surrounded at the bottom by an outer jacket hose, which is guided at a distance from it, with at least one electrically switchable valve arranged within the upper region of the housing, which is connected to the outlet end of the inlet hose and with a base trough designed to catch leak water a leakage water monitoring device is arranged.

Such a household appliance is known from DE-A-3 014 427. Are electrically switchable valves arranged in such a household appliance in the upper region of the housing, then there is the difficulty of collecting the leakage water emerging from a section of the inlet hose rising to these valves in the housing at the location of the floor pan at which the leakage water monitoring device is arranged . This location of the floor pan can be, for example, a localized depression. If leakage water escapes from other places in the floor pan within the machine, it will take some time for this leakage water to collect in the recess in the floor pan. Another aspect relates to the risk that leakage water with likewise high pressure escapes from the pressurized service water supply hose and hits live parts within the housing. This can be seen as a danger for the operator and for the live parts.

The invention has for its object to avoid the disadvantages described above.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the inlet hose section between the lower housing area and the upper electrically switchable valve is also surrounded by an outer jacket hose which is closed at the valve-side end and is open under the floor pan below.

This gives the designer a simple possibility of directing the leakage water emerging from the rising inlet hose section into a specific location in the floor pan.

The invention is explained below using an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing:

The drawing shows a perspective, schematic view of a front-loading washing machine, the housing jacket of which is shown partially broken in the lower area and in the cover frame area. As a result, the essential parts of the subject matter of the invention arranged inside the housing are visible.

A faucet 1 belonging to the domestic water network is connected by means of a union nut 2 to an electrically switchable valve 3, which is firmly connected to a pressure-resistant process water supply hose 4 and to an outer jacket hose 5 which surrounds the supply hose at a distance. At the end of the valve, the outer jacket hose 5 is tightly closed toward the inlet hose 4, so that no water can escape upwards at this end. In the lower area, both hoses pass through the rear wall 6 of the housing into the interior of the washing machine. Shortly behind the entry point 7, the outer jacket tube 5 is cut off and open. Leakage water escaping on the covered section of the inlet hose 4 can therefore be led into the housing from the outer jacket hose 5 and emerge briefly above the floor pan 8.

Das Ventil schließt dann sofort den Zulaufschlauch 4.Above the floor pan 8 there is also a leakage water monitoring device 9 which, in the case of leakage water, reports this state to the control device of the washing machine (not shown) and via the electrical line 10 to the electrically switchable valve 3. The valve then immediately closes the inlet hose 4.

In the upper area of the washing machine there is a multiple solenoid valve 11, to the input of which the upwardly leading section 12 of the inlet hose 4 continued inside the housing is connected. The inlet hose section 12 is also surrounded at a distance by an outer jacket hose 13, which is closed towards the inlet hose when it opens into the valve block 11. In the lower area of the housing, the outer jacket hose 13 is open like the outer jacket hose 5 on the inlet side, but is drawn towards the latter opening to such an extent that the inlet hose 4 is encased as completely as possible. It cannot be avoided that the inlet hose 4 is exposed for a short distance between the two openings of the outer jacket hoses 5 and 13. At this point, a short cover plate under pressure leaking water from the inlet hose 4 to the floor pan 8 can deflect. Instead of the cover plate, however, both outer jacket tubes 5 and 13 can consist of one piece. A downward leakage water outlet opening can then be provided in the outer jacket hose at the desired location above the floor pan.

All other leaks in a washing machine or dishwasher are not under the pressure of the mains cable and therefore do not pose a great danger. Such leakage water still gets in the vicinity of the leakage water monitoring device 9 in good time if it occurs at a location on the floor pan remote therefrom. Leakage water emerging from the inlet hose 4 under pressure, however, requires the immediate circuit-technical reaction of the machine in the form of a shut-off at the network-side end of the inlet hose. It is therefore advantageous if the openings of the outer jacket hoses 5 and 13 are arranged as close as possible to the leakage water monitoring device. The sensor of this monitoring device is advantageously arranged in a recess in the floor pan, so that even smaller amounts of leakage water cause the safety circuit measure to be triggered immediately.
