Description

For military exercise purposes, laser beam shot simulators and infrared shot simulators are very common. You have the advantage that the high ammunition costs do not arise with such exercises. In addition, it is not only possible to shoot at unmanned objects, which may be moved by complex remote control techniques must be, but also on manned objects. In this way a very realistic simulation of a combat situation is possible.

In the shot simulation, there must always be some interaction between the shooting object and the hit object, so that not only does the hit object recognize that it has been hit, but so that the shooting object is informed of the success or failure of its shot. In a realistic exercise with a large number of objects, there can be problems in clearly identifying who has hit whom. This applies in particular to night exercises in which electro-optical aiming or sighting measuring devices are used.

In a known device of the type mentioned (DE-B 21 53 895) shots and hits can be registered, so that one can read the preliminary result and in the end the overall result of the shots and hits. From this one can obtain limited information as to which party or which participant shot how exactly, which participants are still intact etc. However, this evaluation only gives a limited picture of the dynamic course of shooting training or the maneuver. The referees and / or trainers are only informed of the current result or the final result. How the situation has developed dynamically cannot be deduced from the recorded information.

The object of the invention is to provide an effective device with which the details of the course of shooting training or maneuvers for immediate or later evaluation and maneuver criticism are better represented.

The solution according to the invention consists in that the central registration devices are designed to register the events with simultaneous recording of the time of the same and for immediate display of the events together with the time at which they took place.

Not only is an addition of shot and hit reports carried out essentially as in the previously known device, but such events are recorded together with their time. It is surprisingly possible with relatively simple additional means to obtain a much better picture of the course of the maneuver. One can see exactly how individual participants reacted to the actions of other participants based on the displays or recordings of the events together with their time. You can also e.g. determine if a party may have been in a better position than the end result reflects. This also gives a better picture of the effectiveness of individual types of weapons and the like.

Combat training can thus be objectified. Especially during night exercises, the referees can now get an accurate picture of the situation, which was not the case with the previously known facilities.

An advantage of the supplementary device of the invention is that it can easily be attached to existing simulators.

Although the events could be displayed on a screen, for example, it is particularly useful if the events are printed on a printer together with their time can be printed out. This gives a permanent record of the course of the maneuver or the shooting exercise, which can also be taken with the minutes of the exercise.

In this case, more than one printer can be provided so that the course of the maneuver can be observed and recorded from different locations.

So that problems do not occur with almost simultaneous event messages because of the finite printer speed, it can be provided that the device has a buffer for almost simultaneous event messages.

Instead of one central registration device, several can also be provided, each of the registration devices being designed in particular only for registering and displaying / printing out certain, selected events.

The events could also be registered and displayed separately according to the parties of the exercise. This creates a realistic situation in which the observers of each party only receive information about the state of their own participants. But you can also carry out the registration so that e.g. only the leaders of certain troops or branches of service or the like receive the information that corresponds to their troops or their branch of service.

The arrangement can also be made in such a way that not only the fact of hits is registered, but also the hit quality, e.g. Miss, near hit, hit, destructive hit.

The device can also be designed so that it is designed to register further factors, in particular incorrect or correct handling of the weapon system, distance to the target, placement from the target, speed of movement of the target, lead angle, type of ammunition used, set or incorrect attachment angle, etc.

It can further be provided that a hit is only determined and registered after a time delay which corresponds to the flight time of a hypothetical projectile. This also increases the realism of the exercise.

If the events are shown graphically in chronological order or are otherwise graphically printed out in chronological order, the chronological course of the exercise is made particularly clear.

Finally, it can also be provided that in the event of a lethal hit the destroyed target is deactivated so that it can no longer participate in the target practice or maneuver.

The principle of the invention is described below with reference to the accompanying drawing, for example.

The shooting participant (1) contains a laser beam shot simulator or an infrared shot simulator (11). With this shot simulator a directed laser beam or infrared beam (14) is emitted. At the same time, the fact of the shot and the weapon type selected are passed on to a high-frequency transmitter (12), which encodes the parameters of the shot (weapon type, etc.) and the subscriber number of the subscriber (1) and emits a correspondingly coded high-frequency signal via an antenna (13) .

If the laser beam or infrared beam (14) of the shot simulator hits a corresponding detector (21) in the participant (2), the fact of a hit is registered and reported to a high-frequency transmitter (22). This high-frequency transmitter (22) then inputs coded high-frequency signal via an antenna (23), the coding containing the subscriber number of the subscriber (2), the fact of the hit, the quality of the hit and possibly other parameters.

In the figure, only two participants (1, 2) are shown. In reality, however, there are a large number of such participants, who can also belong to different types of weapons and can be provided with different shot simulators (11) depending on the type of weapon that is actually available.

The real-time event data acquisition device (3) is now provided according to the invention for registering shots and hits. This has an antenna (31) with which the high-frequency signals of the participants are received. These high-frequency signals are then received in an amplifier (37) and demodulated. The events are evaluated in an electronic circuit (32) which is connected to a timer (clock 35), a memory (36) and a microprocessor (34) or contains these parts and then printed out with a printer (33).

In addition to the measures of this simple embodiment, further devices can be provided, for example a device (24) in the participant (2), for example a pyrotechnic device, by means of which an audiovisual signal is emitted in the event of a hit.

A printout of a maneuver as obtained with the device according to the invention looks, for example, as shown in the following table.

Shots (shot) and hits (hit) for the two maneuvering parties "Red" and "Blue" are shown in the printout of the table. This display contains the time as essential information. The individual participants are numbered in such a way that the type of participant is recorded at the same time (three-digit numbers that begin with a 5 mean e.g. a battle tank).
