Abstract

1. Means for feeding a metal wire pay-out device from coils of the said wire, comprising a frame (4) whose upper part forming a cradle is designed to receive the wire coils, the coils being positioned with one axis substantially horizontal, a trolley (7) comprising top and bottom supporting means (9), which support can be located beneath the said coil when in the top position, mechanical means (17) being provided to hold the said support in the top position and means (18) effecting controlled displacement between the said top position and the said bottom position, characterised in that the trolley (7) moves within and along the said frame (4), the said coil support (9) is mounted displaceably on inclined rails (13) provided on the said trolley (7), and the said means (18) effect controlled displacement of the trolley (7) in both directions along the said frame (4), the paying-out device (1) comprising a seat and two paying-out devices as such (2) and (3) mounted so as to pivot around a horizontal axis.

  • - à la base du bâti, on a ménagé deux rails ou chemins de roulement servant de support au déplacement du chariot 7 sur des galets 8,
  • - ledit chariot 7 comporte essentiellement un support 9 pouvant prendre une position haute et une position basse. Ce support 9 est représenté en 10 en position basse et en 11 (traits interrompus en position haute). Ce support est constitué d'un bâti supporté par des galets 12 qui assurent le déplacement dudit support de la position haute vers la position basse et vice-versa par roulement sur deux rails inclinés 13, ce bâti comporte deux plaques métalliques formant un dièdre 14 sur lequel les couronnes de fils reposeront. Ledit dièdre est supporté par deux barres 15 parallèles suffisamment longues pour recevoir, éventuellement, d'autres dièdres supports par exemple s'il convient de manipuler des couronnes plus longues que celles actuellement utilisées.

Claims (5)

1. Means for feeding a metal wire pay-out device from coils of the said wire, comprising a frame (4) whose upper part forming a cradle is designed to receive the wire coils, the coils being positioned with one axis substantially horizontal, a trolley (7) comprising top and bottom supporting means (9), which support can be located beneath the said coil when in the top position, mechanical means (17) being provided to hold the said support in the top position and means (18) effecting controlled displacement between the said top position and the said bottom position, characterised in that the trolley (7) moves within and along the said frame (4), the said coil support (9) is mounted displaceably on inclined rails (13) provided on the said trolley (7), and the said means (18) effect controlled displacement of the trolley (7) in both directions along the said frame (4), the paying-out device (1) comprising a seat and two paying-out devices as such (2) and (3) mounted so as to pivot around a horizontal axis.
2. Means according to claim 1, characterised in that the aforesaid support (9) consists of a frame supported by rollers (12) which allow the said support to be displaced from the aforementioned top position to the aforementioned bottom position and vice versa by rolling on the inclined rails (13) aforesaid, the said frame including two metal plates forming a V (14) on which the wire coils (6) rest.
3. Means according to claim 2, characterised in that the aforesaid V (14) is supported by two parallel bars (15) which are sufficiently long to receive other supporting Vs.
4. Means according to claims 2 or 3, characterised in that the end of the support consists of a stop (16).
5. Means according to one of claims 2 to 4, characterised in that the aforesaid support (9) includes a mechanical member (17) whereby support (9) is held in the top position by the said mechanical member (17) catching on a corresponding member borne by the trolley.
