Description

The invention relates to an infusion bag for tea made of liquid-permeable sealable material, in particular paper fleece, to which a holding thread is attached and a label is attached to the free end.

Infusion bags have become known which are produced from a rectangular blank made of paper fleece, a knurled or folded edge being formed on the open longitudinal edges or the edge regions placed against one another being sealed to one another. Often the blank is first formed into an elongated tube and the tube ends are folded against each other after the tea leaves or tea flowers have been filled. The open ends are folded over and held together using a staple or fastened together by knurling and / or sealing. The infusion bag formed in this way is provided with a holding thread which is connected at the end to a label. The tether is usually attached using a staple.

Clamping the retaining thread and / or closing an infusion bag with the aid of a clip requires a taste-neutral behavior of the clip material. The material costs for an infusion bag are based on this Way increased. Furthermore, additional equipment is required in the manufacturing and filling device to attach the clips. The manufacture of such infusion bags is therefore relatively complex.

The infusion bags described at the beginning are normally produced as portion packs, the filling quantity of which is sufficient for one cup. There is no possibility for the user to vary the amount of tea. Furthermore, only common teas are offered in infusion bags. It is therefore also known to use tea bags made of textile material, so-called metal tea or the like, which are filled with the desired amount of loose tea. However, it is disadvantageous that these containers have to be emptied after use and blockages of spouts or the like can occur. However, it is also known to use a disposable paper fleece bag for these purposes.

The invention has for its object to provide an infusion bag for individual tea preparation, which is easy to produce with little effort and is convenient for the user.

This object is achieved in that the upper side is open and is formed by a hemmed edge, through which the holding thread either extends or is guided in lockstitch, and the ends of the holding thread serving as a pulling thread on adjacent sections of the edge on a side edge of the bag are brought out.

The infusion bag according to the invention has a reinforced edge formed by edging the blank. This edge can form a continuous cavity through which the Holding thread extends through. Alternatively, the reinforced edge serves to receive a holding thread that is passed through in the lockstitch. In both cases, the ends of the holding thread are led out on one side. By grasping the two ends and pulling towards the infusion bag, the reinforced rim is tied together so that it closes sufficiently to prevent tea leaves from escaping. The infusion bag according to the invention therefore represents a type of drawstring bag.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the label can be connected to both thread ends, preferably by gluing. The label is preferably formed from a rectangular blank of thicker paper that is folded around a central crease line, with the thread ends coming to rest between the unfolded sections.

According to another embodiment of the invention, one thread end forms an eyelet through which the other thread is passed, the label being attached only to the end of the other thread.

The infusion bag according to the invention is preferably assembled and distributed flat. The user takes a flat infusion bag from a pack and opens it at the hemmed upper edge and fills the desired amount of tea. The opening is then tied up in the manner described above. If the user decides to change the amount of tea, he can easily open the tea bag again.

The infusion bag according to the invention consists of tasteless, completely biologically compatible material. The use of clips or similar fasteners is not necessary.

The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to drawings.
  • Fig. 1 shows schematically in the individual stages the manufacture of the infusion bag according to the invention.
  • Fig. 2 shows in sections an alternative embodiment of the infusion bag according to the invention.
  • Fig. 3 shows a third embodiment of an infusion bag according to the invention.

Before going into the details shown in the drawings, it should be stated that each of the features described is of importance for the invention, either individually or in conjunction with features of the claims.

In a roll-off device, not shown, there is a roll 10 of sealable paper fleece 11. In the roll-off device, the paper 11 is unwound and cut off in sections, so that rectangular cuts 12 are formed (production stage 2). In a thread station, a cotton thread section 13 is placed on the blank 12 with the aid of a suitable insert. The thread section 13 is tensioned. Then an edge section 14 of the blank 12 is placed around a crease line parallel to the corresponding side edge and sealed with the blank (steps 3 and 4). This is preferably done in such a way that the blank is pressed with the tensioned thread into a welding gun, by means of which the edge section 14 is folded over and sealed. In a folding device, the blank 12 is then folded around a crease line 15 which extends centrally over the blank 12. You can ge in the folding device be formed or before. The sections 16, 17 thus formed are superimposed on one another (step 5). The thread section 13 is so long that it projects beyond the blank 12 on both sides. When the sections 16, 17 are laid one on top of the other, the thread ends lie side by side. The two sides still open at 18 and 19 are then sealed in the sealing station (stage 6). In this way, a lacing bag 20 is formed. The ends of the thread ends 13 are provided with a label 21. The label 21 can be a blank made of somewhat thicker paper, which is folded around a central crease line and receives the thread ends between them. The folded label sections are glued together, for example.

The welding of the edge section 14 (step 4) is such that a hollow channel is formed between the edge section 14 and the rest of the blank, through which the thread is freely displaceable. Therefore, if the label 21 is grasped and tightened relative to the bag 20, the bag constricts in the upper edge region 22, so that it is also closed at this point. This happens after the bag has been filled with the desired amount of tea.

The tea bag 20 has a dimension of 9 × 13 cm, for example. Of course, other dimensions can also be provided. As can be seen, it can be assembled flat, so that it can be packed to save space. The user takes a flat lying infusion bag 20 from a pack and opens it by a simple manipulation at the open edge in order to fill it with the desired amount of tea.

The manufacture of a tea bag 30 according to FIG. 2 is similar to that described above. The folded-over edge section 14a does not take up the thread 13a, rather it is like shown at 31, passed in lockstitch. The section 14a can therefore be sealed over the entire surface. A cavity for receiving the thread 13a is not necessary.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the tea bag is produced in the same way as in FIG. 1, it is therefore provided with the same reference numerals. The thread 13b is knotted at one end in such a way that an eyelet 32 is formed through which the other end of the thread is passed. The label 21 is then connected to this thread end in the manner described above. It goes without saying that an eyelet according to FIG. 3 can also be used in the embodiment according to FIG. 2.
