Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a stacking member for sheet metal parts which have flat, at least partially folded edge areas.
Sheet metal parts with edge areas that are folded over at least on part of their circumference are required for a wide variety of products. Examples are wall elements of housings, cladding, door elements and the like.
Such sheet metal parts must be transported and temporarily stored in the course of production, for which purpose stacks are generally formed. The stacks must be stable in themselves to enable safe transport on pallets and to ensure safe intermediate storage. For this purpose, the stacks are often provided with strapping.
The main problem here is that the spacer elements used to form the stack often damage the paint or scrape the paint and, in addition, the coating is adversely affected and damaged by adhesive effects between the spacer elements and the respective painted sheet metal parts, so that repainting is necessary. Such refinishing operations are, on the one hand, expensive and, on the other hand, are often unsuitable for completely and properly eliminating the damage that has occurred.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide a stacking member of the type mentioned, which makes it possible to create stable stacks while avoiding additional fixing agents and at the same time eliminates the risk of damage to the paint or varnish, so that repainting is unnecessary.
This object is essentially achieved by a cuboid basic structure with two mutually opposite support surfaces provided with complementary coupling elements, a support surface lying parallel to and laterally offset between the two support surfaces and a receiving groove formed between the support surface and a support surface for a folded edge region of the sheet metal part .
The cuboid elements, which can be coupled with one another in a form-fitting manner, create a very stable support structure in the vertical direction, while horizontal stability is achieved by engaging the folded edge areas in the receiving grooves adjacent to the respective supporting surface, which makes any additional strapping, which in turn could lead to color damage, unnecessary .
The respective support surface of the stacking member is preferably set back with respect to the adjacent support surface by an amount which corresponds to at least twice the thickness of the sheet metal part to be accommodated, the depth of the receiving groove being greater than the maximum height of the fold.
By choosing the depth of the receiving groove, high surface pressures are avoided, and the positioning of the support surface ensures that, above all, the visible surfaces of the sheet metal parts do not come into contact with any elements during transport and stacking which could lead to paint damage.
A particularly cost-effective embodiment of the complementary coupling elements consists of at least one pin and a bore which positively accommodates the pin, wherein the bore can be made continuously and one end region serves to fix a coupling pin and the other end region of the bore serves to receive another coupling pin.
The stacking members can be made of plastic, wood and the like, while the dowel pins are preferably made of metal.
Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.
An embodiment of the invention is explained with reference to the drawing; the only figure of the drawing shows a schematic representation of a stack formation using stacking elements according to the invention.
The drawing shows the beginning of a stack structure with three stacking members 1 arranged one above the other. The width of the receiving groove (7) is always greater than the thickness of the respective bend.
The design of the stacking element according to the invention also enables the stacking of sheets with differently high bevels, as is indicated in the drawing with the reference numbers 8 and 9.
The mutual engagement of the
The use of the stacking elements according to the invention, of which different sizes can also be provided according to the respective requirements, leads to a significant simplification of the transport and storage of sheet metal parts with folded edge areas, while increasing safety and, above all, also by eliminating dangers the paint damage.
