Description

The invention relates to a device and a method for feeding sludge with the features of the preamble of claims 1 and 5.

Such a device, which is used, among other things, for atomizing pastes, is known from DE-PS 20 05 972. In this device, the atomizing medium is blown tangentially into the centrally guided paste. This causes the paste to rotate and, when placed against the pipe wall, assumes a tubular flow profile, inside of which the atomizing medium penetrates. In this way, a uniform and fine atomization of the paste is achieved.

In the context of the present invention, a sludge-like medium should not be atomized, but should be fed uniformly over a larger cross-sectional area into a treatment room. When burning flotation sludge from coal processing in a fluidized bed furnace, it is known (VDI reports No. 322, 1978, pages 7 to 12) to mix the mechanically dewatered sludge with ash or dust from the fluidized bed furnace and to introduce it into the fluidized bed furnace by spinning .

The object of the invention is to introduce the sludge directly into the treatment room with a sufficient distribution over the length of the room. This object is achieved in the generic device or in a generic method according to the invention by the characterizing features of claims 1 and 5 respectively. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.

In the invention, intermediate storage and admixing of dry dust can be dispensed with. The sludge is discharged through the separating medium to form a protective veil within the guide tube. Subsequently, the sludge flow is broken up by the further supply of disintegrating medium and the sludge is thereby distributed over a larger area. The outlet opening can be kept so large that there is no risk of the flow paths becoming blocked.

  • Fig. 4 den Schnitt IV - IV nach Fig. 3.
Several embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing and are explained in more detail below. Show it:
  • 1 to 3 several embodiments according to the invention and
  • 4 shows the section IV - IV according to FIG. 3.

A nozzle, which is provided with a flange 1, is used to feed sludge into a treatment room (not shown). Via this flange 1, the nozzle is connected to a delivery line through which the sludge is conveyed with the aid of a pump. The nozzle shown in FIG. 1 has a feed pipe 2 and an outlet part 3, between which there is a central section 4. The central section 4 has a smaller cross section than the feed pipe 2. In order to adapt to the cross section of the central section 4, the feed pipe 2 is drawn in.

In the middle section 4 there are bores 5 which penetrate the wall of the nozzle radially or obliquely radially. The middle section 4 is of a ring surround chamber 6, which is provided with a connection 7 for the supply of a dividing medium. The splitting medium is steam or compressed air. Nozzle bores 8 extend from the annular chamber 6 or the bores 5, which bores are arranged in the wall of the conical outlet part 3 and end in the plane of the outlet opening 9. The nozzle bores 8 are at an angle to the direction of flow of the sludge flow.

The nozzle shown in Fig. 2 is installed at an angle. In this nozzle, the outlet part 3 is cylindrical and consists of two concentric pipe jackets 10. The pipe jackets 10 are connected at one end by an end plate 11 and welded to the middle section 4 at the other end such that the space between the pipe jackets 10 with the annular space 6 is connected. Radially aligned nozzles 12 are provided in the wall of the inner tubular casing 10 and in the end plate 11 closing the intermediate space.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the nozzle is surrounded by two separate annular chambers 6, 13, to which different cutting media are fed. Water is supplied to the rear annular chamber 6 and air or steam to the front annular chamber 13. Like the nozzle according to FIG. 1, this nozzle has a feed pipe 2, a central section 4 and an adjoining, conically narrowing section 14. Bores 5 are provided within the central section 4 and are connected to the rear annular chamber 6. A widening section 15 adjoins the narrowing section 14. The narrowest cross section 16 between the sections 14, 15 is out of round and consists of a rectangle, on the narrow sides of which semicircles follow. A first row of nozzles 17 is provided in the narrowest cross section 16. In the widening section 15, pressure-relieved zones 18 are formed, in which a second row of nozzles 19 is arranged. The nozzles 17, 19 of the first and second rows are radially aligned obliquely and are connected to the front annular chamber 13. An additional line 20 for the supply of compressed air can protrude into the narrowest cross section 16.

Flotation sludge is conveyed from the coal processing plant into the feed pipe 2 of the nozzle via the delivery line with the aid of a pump. The dividing medium is blown in through the bores 5 present within the middle section 4 in such a way that the sludge flow is enveloped by a protective veil. This protective veil supports the conveyance of the sludge and protects the wall of the nozzle against erosion. The sludge flow treated in this way is narrowed in cross section in the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 and 3. The sludge stream is then broken up by the distribution medium emerging from the nozzle bores 8 or the nozzles 17, 19 and then introduced into the treatment room, for example in the combustion chamber of a fluidized bed furnace, over a larger cross section.
