Definitions

  • the invention relates to a frame or sash for windows or doors, the type specified in the preamble of claim 1.
  • Main profile bars and filling terminal strips for such frames have been sold by Gebrüder Kömmerling Kunststoffwerke GmbH for years together with construction instructions for the construction of such blind and casement frames.
  • the main profile consists of a rectangular base profile, in which a recess for fittings can be inserted.
  • the main profile bar has a groove at three corners, into which a filling terminal block can be snapped.
  • a stop rib extruded in one piece with the main profile rod, which, depending on the use of the profile rod, serves to hold a filling - usually glazing - and also as a stop rib with which, for example, the sash strikes against a frame.
  • this stop rib which normally sits on the outside, unless it is located on an inwardly opening wing, can also serve to hold the glazing.
  • the filling terminal strip After inserting the glazing against this fixed stop rib, the filling terminal strip is locked with its rib into the groove opposite it, so that the glazing is held in place.
  • the main profile is also designed such that a second stop rib is provided diagonally opposite the stop rib, which is then also extruded in one piece with the main profile.
  • a frame or sash for windows or doors of the type specified is known from DE-A1 953342 and has a hollow, cross-sectionally rectangular profile bar made of plastic, formed at the four corners of the main profile bar, which are symmetrical both with respect to a perpendicular to Level of the frame in the longitudinal direction of the bar through the main profile bar and in relation to a plane running parallel to the level of the frame in the longitudinal bar direction through the main profile bar, as well as stop rib strips with locking ribs, which are non-detachably engaged over their entire length in a groove of the Main profile bar can be snapped into place.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a frame or sash for windows or doors of the type specified, in which a particularly good, reliable connection between the locking rib and groove is guaranteed.
  • the locking rib engages with a locking shoulder behind a shoulder formed on the opposite wall of the groove, as a result of which the stop rib is held particularly firmly.
  • the locking shoulder in the groove does not interfere with the snap-in of the conventional filling terminal strip, since it does not come into contact with the area of the corresponding groove wall that is set back by the locking shoulder.
  • the locking rib is chamfered from the locking shoulder towards its free edge, the safe insertion of the stop rib and thus the stop rib strip is possible.
  • the main profile rod is preferably designed according to claim 11. This subdivision of the normally rectangular, possibly limited by a guide for fitting rods interior of the main profile bar allows the metal reinforcing bar to be inserted into the larger chamber and to arrange the small chamber outside, so that this provides good thermal insulation. In addition, the smaller outer chamber can be used for drainage. At the same time, this ensures that no water can penetrate into the large chamber provided with the metal reinforcement. Accordingly, the metal stiffener need not be made of rustproof material.
  • a corresponding marking is expediently made on the outside of the main profile rod.
  • This marking can consist of a small groove on the inside in one or both of the grooves running in the small outer chamber. In this way, the marking remains visible until the groove is used to attach a stop rib or filler terminal block; incorrect installation of the frame can thus be avoided with certainty.
  • the main profile bar 1 shown in FIG. 1 in cross section for a window or door frame consists of a plastic suitable for window profile bars, such as a PVC-PE copolymer, and has an essentially rectangular profile shape. According to FIG., The plane of the window extends from top to bottom perpendicular to the plane of the drawing.
  • the main profile rod 1 is provided with a groove 2, which is formed by the cavity between two webs 3 and 4 projecting from the main rectangular profile of the main profile rod 1.
  • an outer, smaller secondary chamber 7 is separated by a connecting web 6 which is parallel to the window plane and which serves to drain off water which has penetrated.
  • This secondary chamber 7 thus keeps the main chamber 8 free of water, so that a metal reinforcing rod 9 arranged in the main chamber 8 can also consist of a non-rustproof material.
  • the web 6 with the secondary chamber 7 ensures good thermal insulation, since a metal reinforcement 9 that is usually provided does not protrude to the outside 10 of the main profile rod 1 on the weather side.
  • a conventional filling terminal strip 12 can be detachably latched by means of its retaining rib 13.
  • the structure of the grooves 2 is also unchanged from the prior art.
  • the groove is additionally profiled.
  • Fig. 4 shows the parts of the lower right corner of Fig. 3 that are relevant in this respect.
  • the groove 2 according to the invention differs from the conventional design of corresponding grooves only in that the wall of the groove 2 on the right in FIG. 4, opposite the groove 24, forming a shoulder 23, as shown in FIG. 4, to about a third of the groove depth jumps back.
  • the lateral groove 24 of the groove corresponds to the state of the art.
  • the locking rib 20 is, however, designed substantially differently from the previously known holding ribs.
  • the locking rib 20 is in the area of its foot 25 attached to the surface 24 of the stop rib strip 21 as well as the holding rib 13 of the same width as the groove, so that it rests there on both side walls of the groove.
  • the locking rib 20 is constricted on both sides approximately at half the height of the distance from the surface 26 in which the groove is recessed up to the shoulder 23. While only a flat wedge-shaped constriction is provided on the right side, the constriction in FIG. 4 is considerably larger on the left side. This larger constriction facilitates the threading in of the locking rib 20, since this is widened again by a locking lug 28 which engages over the shoulder 23 in FIG. 4 from above.
  • the right boundary surface of the locking rib 20 extends obliquely to the left to the flattened tip of the locking rib 20.
  • the corresponding left side surface of the locking rib 20 in FIG. 4 extends the corresponding surface of the foot region 15 and lies there also on the corresponding side wall of the groove 2.
  • This wall part of the locking rib 20, which rests on the left side wall of the groove 2 in FIG. 4, can simply be extended to over most of the height of the groove 24, as is also shown in FIG. With correct dimensioning, as shown approximately in FIG. 4, a secure attachment of the stop rib strip 21 is already guaranteed.
  • the area of the locking rib opposite the groove 24, as indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 4, can protrude into the groove 24 by a small amount, for example 0.5 mm. This results in a double interlocking in cooperation with the locking lug 21 of the profile of the locking rib 20.
  • the stop rib strip 21 is inclined for this purpose in such a way that in FIG the surface 24 attaches, connecting plane in Figure 4 runs approximately vertically from top to bottom. Then the locking rib 20 is pressed into the groove 2 with vigorous pressure so that it springs into the position shown in FIG. Now a practically unsolvable connection is created.
  • Appropriate dimensioning means that depending on the hardness of the material, it is possible to keep the form fit appropriately large or smaller. The softer the material of the strip 21 and the rod 1, the easier they are to deform and the more so more you will let the latch 28 reach behind the shoulder 23.
  • the locking rib 20 should sit in the groove with pretension.
  • the stop rib strip 21, once engaged, can no longer be released without damage or at least inappropriately high deformation and forces that cannot be applied in practice. It is different with the filling terminal strip 12. If the glazing, which is held between the terminal strip 12 and the stop rib 21, is destroyed, the pivoting of the terminal strip 12 counterclockwise in FIG. 3 allows the latter to be removed from the connection with the corresponding groove 2 solve.
  • FIG. 4 shows an advantageous shape. This also applies to the dimensions of rib 20 and groove 2 shown in FIG. 4.
  • FIGS. 8-15 the left side of the main profile bar 1, which is only indicated schematically, is the weather side of the frame. Therefore, the small prechamber 7 is also provided there.
  • stop rib 21 Only the arrangement of the stop rib 21 is shown, while the other components are omitted for the sake of simplicity. 8, only one stop bar is provided on the weather side of the frame. This can serve, for example, as a wing stop but also as a stop for fixed glazing.
  • a second stop rib strip 21 is additionally snapped on diagonally opposite the strip 21 provided according to FIG. This can also serve as a wing stop.
  • stop strips 21 are engaged in both grooves 2 on the weather side of the frame. Depending on their use, both can then serve both as a wing stop and for holding fixed glazing.
  • the stop rib strip 21 can serve both as a wing stop and for holding fixed glazing.
  • the upper rib strip 21 in the figure is z. B. provided as a wing stop, while the lower bar 21 can also serve either as a wing stop or to hold a fixed glazing.
  • two strips 21 are inserted on the space side of the frame in both grooves. They serve here, for. B. as wing stops.
  • the bar 21 serves z. B. also as a wing stop, as is also the case with the embodiment according to FIG. 15.
  • FIG. 1 a horizontal section through a window arrangement partially designed according to the invention is shown in FIG. 1, in which fixed glazing is provided in the left half, while an outwardly opening sash made of conventional profile bars is arranged in the right half.
  • the fixed glazing consists, as can be seen from the drawing, of a frame connected all around on the left, above and below in the usual way to the edge of the window opening, which is essentially formed from four main profile bars 1. While the left main profile bar 1 shown in the drawing is connected to the edge of the window opening, the main profile bar 1 provided in the middle stands freely in the opening and holds the fixed glazing 40 with its left edge, while its right edge stops the stop for the one to be opened to the outside Wing 50 forms.
  • the fixed glazing 40 should not be double glazing but single glazing, a slightly differently dimensioned glass clamping strip 12a can be used instead of the glass clamping strip 12.
  • the wing 50 which can be opened to the outside, interacts with a window frame which consists of four main profile bars 1, of which the left main profile bar in the drawing coincides with the right main profile bar of the fixed glazing frame 40 in the drawing.
  • stop rib strips 21 are non-releasably engaged in the corresponding grooves 2 of the main profile bars 1 to form stops on the room side of the glazing.
  • the wing 50 interacts with these stop ribs thus formed.
  • This consists of four profile bars 51 according to the state of the art which, with outwardly projecting stop ribs 52 extruded in one piece with them, bear against the main profile bars 1 from the weather side and also cooperate with the stop rib strips 21 of the main profile bars 1.
  • the conventional bars 51 are provided with fitting chambers 53, which can also be provided for the bars 1 according to the invention.
  • the glazing of the outwardly opening wing 50 is shown at 55.
  • single glazing with the aid of glass retaining strips 12a can also be provided here.
  • Figure 6 shows a highly schematic window arrangement similar to that of Figure 5.
  • the weather side is also above and the room side below.
  • the wing 60 opens outwards, while in the left part, just as in FIG. 5, fixed glazing 40 is drawn, which is also designed in the same way as in FIG. 5.
  • the frame 62 of the wing 60 to be opened is also formed from main profile bars 1 according to the invention and snap-on rib strips 21 and glass clamping strips 12.
  • the latched stop rib strips 21 are on the outside, since they are more secure than the glass clamping strips 12.
  • the wing should not open outwards but inwards, that is to say the weather side should be below, then care must be taken that the retaining rib strips 21 come to rest on the outside again.
  • the glass clamping strip 12 would have to sit where the retaining rib strip 21 is drawn, and vice versa.
  • the retaining rib strips 21 and glass clamping strips 12 holding the glazing would have to be interchanged on the casement 60.
  • FIG. 7 shows a window construction with two outwardly opening wings 71 which abut against a fixed post 72 in the vertical center of the window indicated by the center line 71.
  • the construction of the wing 70 is identical to that of the wing construction 60 shown in FIG. 6.
  • the post 72 is also formed here by a main profile bar 1, which carries two stop rib strips 21 on the room side of the window, while the webs 4 on the The corresponding stop rib strips 21 of the casement 75 interact on the outside.
  • the inventive design of the locking ribs for holding the stop rib strips can also be advantageous if the design of the main profile bars does not correspond to the main claim, if the main profile bars are thus designed, for example, according to the bars 51 in FIG. 5. That is e.g. B. then advantageous if the wing is a door wing. that has a filling that cannot be replaced in the middle. Then, for example, the terminal strips 12 can also be replaced by terminal strips 21.
  • the object of FIG. 4 can therefore also be used independently of the design of the main profile rod according to FIG. 1.
