Ebenfalls kann es bei Benutzung des Kabels beispielsweise beim Kabelverlegen in einem Neubau zu Verwicklungen kommen, da das Kabel in der Regel je nach Bedarf mal hierhin mal dorthin gelegt wird. Die gleichen Nachteile gelten auch für beispielsweise Verpackungsbänder, Schnüre od. dgl.. Speziell für elektrische Kabel ist eine entsprechende Abrolleinrichtung aus der US-A-3,464,647 bekannt. Dort ist die Kabelrolle auf einer Scheibe aufgesetzt, welche gegenüber einer ortsfesten Scheibe drehbar gelagert ist. Die Kabelrolle bildet eine mittige Durchgrifföffnung, durch welche in Gebrauchslage U-förmige, rechtwinklig zueinander angeordnete Stangen durchgreifen und so die Kabelrolle halten.Electrical cables in particular are now offered rolled up in a cardboard box or held by adhesive tapes.
