Description

The invention relates to the use of a tool for compacting fine concrete in wall joints, and a tool.

A tool for compacting concrete has become known from GB-A 511 099. This tool is connected to a motor-driven hammer by means of a releasable connecting device. On the working side opposite the connecting device, it has a plate with an active surface which is oriented at right angles to the direction of impact of the hammer.

With this tool, concrete can be compacted, for example stamped.

When renovating masonry, for example older structures, part of the masonry is broken out to a width of about one meter and replaced with new masonry. The problem here is how, regardless of whether the masonry is bricked or made of concrete, the fine concrete can be introduced and compacted in a joint above the new masonry and below the old masonry to be supported. So far, this work has been carried out using a fist and with a log. This process is very labor-intensive, especially when fine concrete with a low water content is processed. Nevertheless, the compaction effect is uncertain. If sufficient compaction is not achieved, the masonry to be supported settles and cracks develop.

The invention has for its object to find a solution to this problem, namely to compact fine concrete in such wall joints safely and reliably.

To achieve this object, the invention proposes the use of a tool for compacting fine concrete in wall joints according to claim 1. By appropriately adapting the tool to the new use, a complete solution to the problem is achieved. A motor-driven hammer can now be used to compact the fine concrete introduced into the wall joint, which significantly increases the compacting effect. The weight of the tool is comparatively low, so that it can also be used in unfavorable positions. The fine concrete, in which an excess of water is to be avoided, is compacted in the new use with the aid of the elongated, essentially flat or flute-like active surface. The use of little water in fine concrete prevents the mass from escaping during the compaction process. The small amount of water also reduces the volume loss when setting, so that the risk of cracks occurring is low.

The fillet-like curvature brings a particularly good compression effect. In addition, this shape of the active surface allows the tool to be held in the middle of the joint, which makes work easier.

The invention further relates to a tool. The starting point is the tool as it became known from GB-A 511 099. The invention improves this tool and designs it so that it is particularly well suited for compacting fine concrete in wall joints. This is done in that the active surface of the plate of the one-piece tool is arched and elongated, that the connecting device receives a drill pipe of the motor hammer, and that the back of the plate carries struts between the connecting device and the outside area.

The invention further proposes that a mounting shoe with a larger width and / or length is slid onto the active surface of the tool. Such a placement shoe can be used, for example, to counteract wear on the tool or to increase the effective area. Increasing the effective area is particularly desirable if higher wall joints are to be processed. As a rule, joints are provided at a height of approximately 8 cm.

It is particularly favorable if the tool is designed as a drop forging.

  • Fig. 1 eine perspektivische Ansicht,
  • Fig. 2 eine Seitenansicht und
In the drawing, an embodiment of a tool according to the invention is shown schematically. Show it:
  • 1 is a perspective view,
  • Fig. 2 is a side view and
  • Fig. 3 is a side view in the working position when working in a wall joint.

The plate 9 has an active surface 2 with a fillet-like curvature on its underside. On its upper side, the plate 9 is connected to the connecting device 4 by means of the struts 10. The struts 10 are essentially triangular and carry in their center the connecting device 4, which receives the drill rod 6 of a motor hammer 5, which is shown in FIG. 3, in a hardened opening. The drill pipe 6 can easily be replaced without special tools.

The length of the plate 9 is approximately 30 cm, its width is approximately 6 cm. The width is slightly less than the joint height 3 of the joint 8, which is approximately 8 cm. The depth of the joint 8, i.e. the wall thickness, can be up to one meter or even more.

In Fig. 3 it can be seen how the fine concrete 11 is compacted in the joint 8 with the help of the active surface 2. If the joint is still relatively deep, a particularly long drill pipe 6 is used. Depending on the decrease in the joint depth in the course of the process, the drill pipe 6 is replaced by a shorter one.

The joint 8 is, for example, in a masonry 13, the lower area of which is to be renewed piece by piece. An approximately one meter wide piece is removed from the masonry and replaced with new masonry 12. Above the new masonry 12, the joint 8 remains at one end is closed by a formwork board 7, which is fixed in the usual way. Now a sufficient layer of fine concrete 11 is first introduced and this layer is compacted by moving the motor-driven tool 1 back and forth. Subsequently, fine concrete is added and the process continues until the entire joint 8 is filled with the compacted fine concrete.

The new masonry 12 can contain an insulating layer in the usual way, but this is not shown in detail, and which can also be arranged, for example, in the joint under the fine concrete 11.

If the fine concrete 11 that has been brought in has set sufficiently, a further section of the brickwork lying next to it can be replaced, etc.

The invention can also be implemented with a tool with a flat active surface. However, a curved active surface, as shown in the drawings, has the advantage that the compacted concrete 11 which is introduced tends to dodge less during compaction, and that it is also easier to hold the tool 1 approximately in the middle of the joint.

As a rule, the tool according to the invention is used to compact fine concrete in horizontal wall joints. It is clear that the tool can also be used when the joint has an inclined course or when it comes to vertical joints.
