Definitions
- This agent is suitable also for cleaning and care of other sensitive surfaces, such as wood, painted metal or glass.
- a number of cleaning agents are available on the market, mainly in the form of liquids, emulsions, suspensions or pastes. Although these products are effective in many cases, the plastic sheets to be cleaned are unsightly due to stress corrosion cracking or roughened when they are used, or the devices are damaged by loosening their paint surfaces or lettering.
- a care agent for the treatment of plastic surfaces which consists of an aqueous and a non-aqueous liquid phase which is characterized in that it is free of Wax, the non-aqueous phase consisting essentially of HFC 113, contains at least one surfactant and at least one water-soluble silicone oil
- the agent can also contain other ingredients in small proportions that do not affect the care properties, such as dyes or perfume oils.
- Other ingredients in small proportions that do not affect the care properties, such as dyes or perfume oils.
- the presence of water-insoluble organic solvents is also possible. However, preference is given to the absence of such solvents (products which are gaseous at atmospheric pressure and room temperature, for example difluorodichloromethane or tetrafluorodichloroethane are not considered solvents in this context).
- surfactants used are particularly effective emulsifiers for the two liquid phases.
- Ionic surfactants in particular anionic surfactants, are preferred.
- Compounds with an organically bound sulfate group or sulfonate group have proven particularly useful as surfactants.
- the proportion of surfactants must be sufficient for the agent according to the invention to be converted into an emulsion when shaken. In general, contents of 1 to 10% by weight, in particular 2 to 8% by weight, of surfactant are sufficient for this. However, higher concentrations may also be required.
- surfactants with a sulfate group are salts of sulfuric acid semiesters of fatty alcohols with C 1 -C 20 -alkyl radicals, which may optionally contain up to 30 alkylene oxide units of the formula -OC 2 H 4 or -OC 3 H 6 in the molecule. 0-10, in particular 0-5, alkylene oxide units are preferred. Salts of sulfuric acid semiesters with a C 10 -C 12 alkyl group, in particular their triethanolamine salts, preferably without an alkylene oxide unit, are particularly preferred.
- Representatives of the compounds having a sulfonate group include alkanesulfonates having 6 to 20 carbon atoms in the alkyl radical, aryl sulfonates, in particular phenyl sulfonates and alkylphenylsulfonates having 1 to 10 carbon atoms in the alkyl radical
- Liquid siloxane-glycol block copolymers in particular polydimethylsiloxane Polyoxyalkylenblockpolymere are preferred as the silicone oil L03 of Wacker-Chemie GmbH, or surfactant 190 and 1 93 of the DOW CORNING.
- block copolymers are US-PS indicated for example in DE-OS 2135536, 3 4 02192 or US-PS 3713851st
- the chemistry of liquid silicones is discussed in KirkOthmer, Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology Vol. 20, 3rd Ed. p 922-962.
- the weight ratio of aqueous phase to non-aqueous liquid phase can vary within wide limits. Ratios of 10:90 to 90:10, preferably 25:75 to 75:25, in particular 40:60 to 60:40, have proven successful.
- Liquid polysiloxanes such as e.g.
- Arylalkyl polysiloxanes especially phenyfalkyl polysiloxanes, preferably phenylmethyl polysiloxanes or liquid alkylmethyl polysiloxanes, especially dimethylpolysiloxanes.
- phenyfalkyl polysiloxanes especially phenyfalkyl polysiloxanes, preferably phenylmethyl polysiloxanes or liquid alkylmethyl polysiloxanes, especially dimethylpolysiloxanes.
- wax-free care agent according to the invention is free of fluorosurfactants.
- the care products according to the invention meet an acute need because of the properties described, in particular in the fields of consumer electronics and data processing, but also in the household sector (in the care of furniture, window frames, doors) and in vehicle care.
- the non-aqueous phase can be emulsified in the aqueous phase by briefly shaking the care agent container.
- the emulsion obtained is expediently applied to a cloth made of textiles or to a paper fleece and the surface to be cared for is wiped, rubbed and optionally polished.
- the care product according to the invention is filled into conventional aerosol cans and an aerosol propellant or an aerosol propellant mixture is pressed into these after sealing with suitable aerosol valves.
- propellant gases such as dichlorodifluoromethane (FKW 12) and / or dichlorotetrafluoroethane (FKW 114) or compressed propellant gases used in aerosol technology, such as carbon dioxide, can be used.
- the need for propellant gas to produce a stable foam when the aerosol valve is actuated (after shaking the aerosol can) is in the order of 2 to 30% by mass, based on the total content of the can. Portions of 3 to 20% by weight are preferred.
- the emulsion of the care product according to the invention produced by shaking can also be foamed by blowing in air using a whisk or other foam whisking device.
- a propellant gas is added to the care product (i.e. when the product is formulated as a foam aerosol)
- foam can be generated from an aerosol can with valve and foam head. This foam is then applied to a cloth or paper fleece or directly to the surface to be treated.
- the latter is particularly recommended if the cleaning agent is to act on the possibly heavily soiled surface for a long time before it is mechanically removed by rubbing it off and on again. In the case of stubborn soiling, this can sometimes be necessary repeatedly.
- the invention further relates to a care product for cleaning sensitive surfaces, consisting of an aqueous and a non-aqueous liquid phase, which is characterized in that the non-aqueous phase consists of HFC 113, the agent, the triethanolamine salt of an alkylsulfuric acid half-ester with 10 contains up to 12 carbon atoms in the alkyl group and is free of wax. In this case, the presence of a silicone oil is not necessary.
- the care product according to the invention is preferably also free of other non-volatile components.
- the information given above regarding the amount of surfactant and HFC 113, the quantitative ratio of aqueous phase / organic phase, the type and proportion of a propellant gas and the formulation of an aerosol also apply here.
- This care product also has a very high cleaning potential against all soiling. Due to the absence of a water-soluble silicone oil, there is no formation of the strongly antistatic film and also no silky sheen.
- the agent according to the invention modified in this way is particularly suitable for cleaning surfaces on which no residue films may remain. This agent according to the invention is particularly suitable for cleaning compact disk disks.
- the agent was foamed from an aerosol glass bottle with a foam head and used with the help of a paper towel to clean a (R) Formica plate.
- the cleaning achieved, the strength of the gloss and the presence of greasy residues were assessed visually. A maximum of 10 points could be awarded for each property tested.
- Example 1 was repeated, but the silicone oil AP 100 was omitted.
- Example 1 was repeated, but the proportion of silicone oil L03 was reduced from 0.05 to 0.03%.
- Example 1 was repeated, but the proportion of silicone oil L03 was completely omitted.
- a CD disc which had fingerprints after use was treated with an aerosol according to Example 1, but the silicone oils were omitted. The cleaning effect was very good. The gloss was not graded.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a cleaning agent for plastic surfaces which, in addition to an aqueous phase, also contains an organic phase which essentially consists of HFC 1 13 (= 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane). This agent is suitable also for cleaning and care of other sensitive surfaces, such as wood, painted metal or glass.
For the maintenance of housing panels or front panels of devices, in particular electrical or electronic units, with plastic surfaces or other visible surfaces, e.g. lacquered or printed plates, a number of cleaning agents are available on the market, mainly in the form of liquids, emulsions, suspensions or pastes. Although these products are effective in many cases, the plastic sheets to be cleaned are unsightly due to stress corrosion cracking or roughened when they are used, or the devices are damaged by loosening their paint surfaces or lettering.
Es bestand daher die Aufgabe, ein Mittel zu schaffen, das die genannten Nachteile handelsüblicher Mittel vermeidet Es wurde nun ein Pflegemittel zur Behandlung von Kunststoffoberflächen geschaffen, das aus einer wäßrigen und einer nicht-wäßrigen flüssigen Phase besteht das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist daß es frei ist von Wachs, die nicht-wäßrige Phase im wesentlichen aus FKW 113 besteht das Mittel mindestens ein Tensid und mindestens ein wasserlösliches Silikonöl enthättIt was therefore the task of creating an agent which avoids the disadvantages of commercially available agents. A care agent for the treatment of plastic surfaces has now been created, which consists of an aqueous and a non-aqueous liquid phase which is characterized in that it is free of Wax, the non-aqueous phase consisting essentially of HFC 113, contains at least one surfactant and at least one water-soluble silicone oil
The agent can also contain other ingredients in small proportions that do not affect the care properties, such as dyes or perfume oils. The presence of water-insoluble organic solvents is also possible. However, preference is given to the absence of such solvents (products which are gaseous at atmospheric pressure and room temperature, for example difluorodichloromethane or tetrafluorodichloroethane are not considered solvents in this context).
It is delayed if the surfactants used are particularly effective emulsifiers for the two liquid phases. Ionic surfactants, in particular anionic surfactants, are preferred. Compounds with an organically bound sulfate group or sulfonate group have proven particularly useful as surfactants. The proportion of surfactants must be sufficient for the agent according to the invention to be converted into an emulsion when shaken. In general, contents of 1 to 10% by weight, in particular 2 to 8% by weight, of surfactant are sufficient for this. However, higher concentrations may also be required.

Arylalkyl polysiloxanes, especially phenyfalkyl polysiloxanes, preferably phenylmethyl polysiloxanes or liquid alkylmethyl polysiloxanes, especially dimethylpolysiloxanes. The simultaneous use of two silicone oils with different solubility properties is therefore preferred.
It is advantageous if the wax-free care agent according to the invention is free of fluorosurfactants.
- 1. The care products have a very high cleaning potential in relation to all soiling that forms on the surfaces of electrical devices (for example phono and video or EDP devices) in normal use.
- 2. The care products according to the invention in most cases provide the treated surfaces with a strongly antistatic film which prevents the attraction of dust particles for a long time
- 3. Surfaces which have been treated with the agent according to the invention, after wiping with a soft cloth, have a pleasant-looking sheen. Color depth and saturation are significantly increased
- 4. The care products according to the invention practically do not attack bare plastic surfaces, but also lacquered or printed metal or wood surfaces, since aggressive solvents, such as ketones, esters or chlorinated hydrocarbons, are missing. For this reason, the addition of further organic solvents is also not advisable. However, the agents loosen dirt films of both hydrophilic and lipophilic nature
- 5. Since the agents according to the invention are free from undissolved solids, they do not have an abrasive or roughening effect on scratch-sensitive surfaces. They do not leave any annoying residues on the treated areas that could promote new pollution.
- 6. Because of their content of anti-adhesive substances which remain in the lowest concentration on the treated surfaces, the inventive ones decrease Means a considerable amount of new pollution because dirt particles do not stick.
The care products according to the invention meet an acute need because of the properties described, in particular in the fields of consumer electronics and data processing, but also in the household sector (in the care of furniture, window frames, doors) and in vehicle care.
They can be used advantageously on leather and synthetic leather surfaces. It is also possible to clean metal surfaces, although the antistatic effect of the agents according to the invention is not required. These agents are not intended for cleaning the grooves of records.
The agents according to the invention can be used in different ways. In the case of liquid mixtures without aerosol propellant, the non-aqueous phase can be emulsified in the aqueous phase by briefly shaking the care agent container. The emulsion obtained is expediently applied to a cloth made of textiles or to a paper fleece and the surface to be cared for is wiped, rubbed and optionally polished.
Bevorzugt sind Anteile von 3 bis 20 Gew.-%.In such cases, in which there is a risk that a liquid cleaning agent flows through joints into the interior of a device housing and causes malfunctions there, it is advantageous to use the agent in the form of a foam. This foam should be so stiff and stable that it cannot penetrate into joints or cracks in the surfaces to be treated. In order to prepare a foam aerosol for this purpose, the care product according to the invention is filled into conventional aerosol cans and an aerosol propellant or an aerosol propellant mixture is pressed into these after sealing with suitable aerosol valves. Primarily pressure-liquefied propellant gases such as dichlorodifluoromethane (FKW 12) and / or dichlorotetrafluoroethane (FKW 114) or compressed propellant gases used in aerosol technology, such as carbon dioxide, can be used. The need for propellant gas to produce a stable foam when the aerosol valve is actuated (after shaking the aerosol can) is in the order of 2 to 30% by mass, based on the total content of the can. Portions of 3 to 20% by weight are preferred.
The emulsion of the care product according to the invention produced by shaking can also be foamed by blowing in air using a whisk or other foam whisking device. Likewise, if a propellant gas is added to the care product (i.e. when the product is formulated as a foam aerosol), foam can be generated from an aerosol can with valve and foam head. This foam is then applied to a cloth or paper fleece or directly to the surface to be treated. The latter is particularly recommended if the cleaning agent is to act on the possibly heavily soiled surface for a long time before it is mechanically removed by rubbing it off and on again. In the case of stubborn soiling, this can sometimes be necessary repeatedly.
The invention further relates to a care product for cleaning sensitive surfaces, consisting of an aqueous and a non-aqueous liquid phase, which is characterized in that the non-aqueous phase consists of HFC 113, the agent, the triethanolamine salt of an alkylsulfuric acid half-ester with 10 contains up to 12 carbon atoms in the alkyl group and is free of wax. In this case, the presence of a silicone oil is not necessary. According to this embodiment, the care product according to the invention is preferably also free of other non-volatile components. The information given above regarding the amount of surfactant and HFC 113, the quantitative ratio of aqueous phase / organic phase, the type and proportion of a propellant gas and the formulation of an aerosol also apply here.
This care product also has a very high cleaning potential against all soiling. Due to the absence of a water-soluble silicone oil, there is no formation of the strongly antistatic film and also no silky sheen. However, the agent according to the invention modified in this way is particularly suitable for cleaning surfaces on which no residue films may remain. This agent according to the invention is particularly suitable for cleaning compact disk disks.
