Abstract

An seiner Oberseite weist das Hohlprofil vorteilhafte V-förmige Hohlräume zwischen den rautenförmig verlaufenden Rippen auf, deren Oberkanten mit der eingebauten Verdickung und der Fahrbahnoberkante fluchten. Die diagonal verlaufenden Rippen stabilisieren dabei das zwischen den Fugenrändern befindliche Hohlprofil des Dichtungsbandes derart, daß eine vollkommen ebene Ausbildung der an die Verkehrsfläche angrenzenden Oberfläche des Dichtungsbandes in jeder Fugenstellung, also auch bei Engstellung der Fuge, sichergestellt ist. Soweit sich in den V-förmigen Hohlräumen der Oberseite des Hohlprofils Wasser und Schmutz ansammelt, beeinträchtigt dies nicht die Nutzungsdauer des Dichtungsbandes. Insgesamt ist bei der erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung ein unter den in der Praxis auftretenden Umständen vollständig dichter Anschluß des Dichtungsbandes an die Fugenränder sichergestellt, so daß hier weder Feuchtigkeit noch Schmutz eintreten noch ein vertikales Abheben des Fugenbandes von dem Fugenrandprofil stattfinden kann, so daß die Nutzungsdauer des Dichtungsbandes verlängert und das Fugenrandprofil vor Korrosion geschützt ist.According to a further proposal of the invention, the sealing tape is designed as a hollow profile in the region of the joint. Der Steg 8 mit der Wulst 8 ist zur Fuge hin aufgebogen, so daß die Wulst 9 etwas oberhalb der Stützfläche 7 an einem Innenwandabschnitt des Fugenrandprofils 12 und der Verdickung 2 anliegt, und die Verdickung 2 in dem Hohlraum 15 verkeilt ist. Die horizontale Auflagerfläche 5 der Verdickung 2 liegt unter Vorspannung auf der horizontalen Lastaufnahmefläche 16 des Fugenrandprofils 12 auf, so daß die Verdickung insgesamt 3 Auflagerflächen 5, 6 und 7 hat, die gegen die Innenwandung des Hohlraumes 15 angepreßt werden. Claims (11)

1. An arrangement for bridging an expansion joint in a roadway, in particular in a bridge, comprising two profiled edges (12) opposite each other at the joint distance, each of which has an upwardly open depression (15) with a trough-shaped cross section, whose limiting wall runs into a load receiving suface (16) on the inner side of the depression (15) facing the joint (10) and has on the outer side of the depression (15) facing away from the joint (10) an engagement surface partly covering the depression (15) which runs into a substantially vertical surface (17) which tapers into the upper side of the profiled edge (12), and further comprising a bandlike seal (1) bridging the joint (10) and made of elastic material, which has in its middle area covering the joint (10) a hollow section (19) adapting to the changing joint width and a bulge (2) on each longitudinal edge which lies with its upper side (3) on the plane of the upper edge (4) of the roadway, an end portion (8) locked into the depression (15) and having a supporting surface (7) engaging behind the engagement surface (18), and a bearing area (5) set on the load receiving surface (16) and a contact surface lying against the vertical surface (17), whereby the end portion of each bulge (2) locked into the depression (15) is designed as a web (8) which virtually fills in the depression (15) completely, characterized in that the load receiving surface (16) of each profiled edge (12) extends substantially horizontally, the web (8) in its starting shape is overdimensioned compared to the depression (15) in such a way that its supporting surface (7) is pressed under compressive prestress onto the engagement surface (18), and the contact surface of the bulge (2) lying against the vertical surface (17) of the profiled edge (12) is formed by a nose (6) which projects in its starting shape and is compressed in the fitted state of the sealing band so that it extends substantially vertically and thus lies under compressive prestress in sealing fashion against the vertical surface (17), and the nondestructive insertion of the bulge (2) is ensured by substantially vertical pressure of web (8) into the depression (15) with the supporting surface (7) locking behind the engagement surface (18).
2. The arrangement of claim 1, characterized in that the load receiving surface (16) of each profiled edge (12) is located about halfway up between the bottom of the depression (15) and the upper side of the profiled edge (12) located on the plane of the upper edge (4) of the roadway.
3. The arrangement of claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the horizontal load receiving surface (16) is adjacent the bottom of the trough (15) with a surface inclined toward the vertical surface (17).
4. The arrangement of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the supporting surface (7) of each bulge (2) is inclined downwardly away from the joint (10).
5. The arrangement of claim 4, characterized in that the engagement surface (18) of each profiled edge (12), like the supporting surface (7) of the bulge (2) pressed against it, is inclined downwardly.
6. The arrangement of any of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that each bulge (2), in the relaxed starting shape, has a nose-shaped design in the contact area with the vertical surface (17) of the profiled edge (12), so that its contact surface (6) is inclined upwardly and outwardly with respect to the vertical.
7. The arrangement of any of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that each bulge (2) has in the area of the supporting surface (7) a cavity (7a) which allows for the web projection (7b) having the supporting surface (7) to give way during installation.
8. The arrangement of claim 7, characterized in that each cavity (7a) of the seal (1) is formed by a through hole profile.
9. The arrangement of claim 8, characterized in that the hollow section (19) is formed by ribs (20) extending in a lozenge pattern.
10. The arrangement of claim 8 or 9, characterized in that the hollow section (19) has a V-shaped contour on its underside.
11. The arrangement of claim 10, characterized in that the hollow section (19) has on its upper side V-shaped recesses (21) between the ribs (20) extending in a lozenge pattern, which end on the plane of the upper edges (3) of the bulges (2) and the upper edge (4) of the roadway.
