Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for storing thread-like material, for. B. weft, wire, ribbon etc., in looms, with a substantially cylindrical bobbin and a material feed channel, wherein one of the parts of the bobbin / material feed channel is designed to rotate relative to the other part.
- a rotationally secured winding body a material feed channel rotating relative to it and thread are assumed to be weft material.
- the object of the invention is to create a storage device which is particularly improved in this regard.
- the invention resides in at least one hook-shaped recess arranged on the end of the winding body facing the material feed channel for returning a material strand wound incorrectly behind this end of the winding body to the winding body.
- the back-wound weft strand can be pulled forward again. Storage and web operations can continue undisturbed. The weft yarn does not break off due to such minimal back winding. As a result, the loom is not stopped.
- the inherent avoidance of back-winding does not have to be paid for by attaching additional parts, such as a protective ring, to the known storage device.
- the hook-shaped recess can be made on the winding body itself. The mass and the inertia of the thread feed channel and the parts rotating with it remain unchanged.
- the axes 2 and 4 do not coincide with each other, so part 3 is arranged eccentrically on the disc 1.
- Brackets 5 are arranged in the lower half of the conical part 3 in FIG. 1. Together with the upper section of the conical part 3, they form the actual winding body, designated as a whole by 6.
- weft thread 9 is wound onto winding body 6 during operation by a thread feed tube 8 rotating continuously according to arrow 7.
- the end 30 of the winding body 6 facing the feed tube 8 is formed by the base plate 1.
- This is of a cover-like, conical part 50, which is only indicated in FIG. 3 enclosed.
- the feed pipe 8 runs between parts 1 and 50.
- Such a weft store is described in DE-OS-2 751 380 (& US-PS-4 132 370).
- tube 8 first reaches position 8a according to FIG. 2, later position 8b according to FIG. 3, in which a pin 12 is also used gripping, the winding body 6 against rotation, fixed bracket 16 is shown.
- the weft thread strand 10 shown in broken lines in FIG. 5 can reach behind the base plate 1.
- the weft thread 9 is placed in section 9f in a recess 21 made on the circumference of the base plate 1 and thereby returned to the front of the base plate 1.
- the recess 21 has a gradually inwardly running inlet flank 22, over which the thread center 10 is gradually lowered as the feed tube 8 rotates according to arrow 7. Following the depression or the deepest point 23 of the recess 21, a steeply outwardly directed flank 24 for catching the thread center 10 is formed.
- the recess 21 thus has the shape of a hook with a tip 40, the thread first passing over the inlet flank 22 in the direction of rotation 7 and then being returned from the catching flank 24 to the front side of the base plate 1 arranged on the right in FIG. 6.
- the strand 10 is also pulled. It is therefore possible for the back-wound part of the weft thread, that is to say the weft thread section 10 located behind the base plate 1 in FIGS. 1 to 6, to be pulled out of the storage device automatically. The faulty back winding can thus be eliminated automatically and the operation continues in the normal way.
- a concentric, rotationally secured winding drum 28 is arranged on the axis 2. It has a bulge 29 at its run-up end 30.
- the recess 21 is made in accordance with FIGS. 1-6.
- the weft thread 9 is pulled off the drum 28 overhead.
- the thread feed tube 8 stands still and the drum 28 rotates relative to the tube 8.
- the catching flank 24a and the slot of the recess 21 are extended in the circumferential direction.
- the tip 40 is bent somewhat to the left in FIG. 9. This can improve the catch effect.
Description
The invention relates to a device for storing thread-like material, for. B. weft, wire, ribbon etc., in looms, with a substantially cylindrical bobbin and a material feed channel, wherein one of the parts of the bobbin / material feed channel is designed to rotate relative to the other part. (In the following, for example, a rotationally secured winding body, a material feed channel rotating relative to it and thread are assumed to be weft material.)
In a previous device of this type (DE-PS-2 111 671 & US-PS-3 759 300), a ring surrounding the winding-up end of the winding body with little play is provided, by which it is to be avoided that the weft yarn to be wound up is undesirably get behind the winding body and can wind up on its axis (so-called "rear winding"). It is not very easy to keep the play between the winding body and the ring preventing the back winding from being sufficiently small, especially if particularly fine, thin yarn is to be processed. The speed of the yarn feed channel and thus the rotating protective ring with this is usually extremely high, z. B. 5000 min- ', which is why the game a certain minimum dimension, z. B. can not fall below 0.5 mm. In the case of fine yarns, however, undesirable back-winding can nevertheless occur.
In the known storage device, too, it is not ensured that - if a certain strand of thread gets behind the winding body in an undesirable manner - it is returned to the front of the winding body when further winding. Rather, the following pieces of thread remain in the rear winding space and continue to be wound on the axis of the winding body. The fault is only discovered when the weaving machine is switched off as a result of a weft break and, moreover, can only be remedied with some effort, because in many cases a large number of turns are wound on the bobbin axis.
The object of the invention is to create a storage device which is particularly improved in this regard.
The invention resides in at least one hook-shaped recess arranged on the end of the winding body facing the material feed channel for returning a material strand wound incorrectly behind this end of the winding body to the winding body.
In this way it can be achieved that - if for any reason a strand of the weft thread to be wound has reached behind the winding body - the continuation of the thread is immediately returned to the winding body when the feed channel rotates further. So at most a single turn, usually only a partial turn behind the winding body and in the area of its axis. This makes it easier to repair such a fault.
With a subsequent weft insertion, the back-wound weft strand can be pulled forward again. Storage and web operations can continue undisturbed. The weft yarn does not break off due to such minimal back winding. As a result, the loom is not stopped.
Furthermore, the difficulty with regard to the generation of as little play as possible between the winding body and the protective ring installed in the known device and preventing the rear winding is also eliminated. As a result, a troublesome back winding can be avoided even with the finest yarns.
Furthermore, the inherent avoidance of back-winding does not have to be paid for by attaching additional parts, such as a protective ring, to the known storage device. The hook-shaped recess can be made on the winding body itself. The mass and the inertia of the thread feed channel and the parts rotating with it remain unchanged.

A conical part 3, the axis of which is designated by 4, is fastened on a
During operation, a few thread windings 9a are moved to the right between two
For example, if the
It is assumed that the
When the
The
With further rotation of the
If after the thread repair in the following weft insertion the first winding package containing the
If for another reason a
Bei einer anderen Bauart sind z. B. drei Ausnehmungen 21, 21 a, 21 b (vgl. Fig. 1) an der Grundscheibe 1 angebracht. In another design, for. B. three
In a modified embodiment, the
