Die Erfindung betrifft ein Kissen zur Verhinderung und Behandlung von Dekubitalgeschwüren.The invention relates to a pillow for the prevention and treatment of decubitus ulcers.

Bei bewegungsbehinderten Personen, die sich über längere Zeiten in im wesentlichen unveränderten Sitzstellungen oder Liegepositionen befinden, besteht die Gefahr, daß sich infolge mangelhafter Gewebsernährung durch Sitzen oder durch Liegen Dekubitalgeschwüre ausbilden können.In the case of people with movement disabilities who are in essentially unchanged sitting or lying positions over long periods of time, there is a risk that decubitus ulcers may develop as a result of inadequate tissue nutrition through sitting or lying down.

Die Erfindung geht von der überraschenden Erkenntnis aus, daß sich mit einer Magnetfeldtherapie chronisch-entzündliche und degenerativ-entzündliche Prozesse, Traumata, Sauerstoffmangelerscheinungen, Knochendefekte und ähnliche Schäden erfolgreich behandeln lassen. Bei dieser Magnetfeldtherapie werden wir zu behandelnden Körperteile einem pulsierenden Magnetfeld mit extrem geringer Frequenz im Bereich von 1 - 50 Hertz, vorzugsweise 8 Hertz, ausgesetzt. Dieses pulsierende Magnetfeld hat eine massageähnliche Wirkung, die sich überraschenderweise zur Prophylaxe und Therapie von Dekubitalgeschwüren bei bewegungsbehinderten Personen in lang andauernden Sitz- bzw. Liegepositionen mit gutem Erfolg anwenden läßt. Um diese Magnetfeldtherapie bei gefährdeten Personen und bei Personen mit Dekubitalgeschwüren anwenden zu können, weist das erfindungsgemäße Kissen eine die Magnetspule abdeckende plattenförmige Schicht aus einem viskoelastischen Kunststoff auf, die einen guten Druckausgleich herstellt und eine entspannte Stellung der zu behandelnden Person bzw. der zu behandelnden Körperteile schafft, in der das pulsierende Magnetfeld seine durchblutungsfördernde, den Stoffwechsel aktivierende und die Sauerstoffzufuhr fördernde Wirkung voll entfalten kann.The invention is based on the surprising finding that chronic-inflammatory and degenerative-inflammatory processes, trauma, oxygen deficiency symptoms, bone defects and similar damage can be successfully treated with a magnetic field therapy.
