Therefore, the mixer of this invention can be used within a wider range of the capacity.

  • the blades 3, 4 and 5 are almost buried in the materials. While the rotary shaft 3 and the screw blade 5 turn in the same direction, the materials to be mixed are moved by these blades 3, 4 and 5 and effectively mixed together.
  • the materials gather at one side of the casing as shown in Fig. 2. Because the screw blade 5 is provided over the outer blade at the left side in the casing facing the direction in which the inner blade moves the material, it is buried up by the material, as shown in Fig. 2 with a dotted line.
  • the screw blade feeds the material in a direction opposite to the direction in which the outer blade 3 feeds the material. While the material is being fed by the screw blade 5, some of it falls onto the outer blade 3, mixing into the material fed by the outer blade. Therefore, a hiqhlv efficient mixing is possible. Experiments show that efficient mixing is possible even if the amount of materials is as small as about 25% of the capacity of the casing.
  • the screw blade may be provided at positions shown with a dotted line in Fig. 2, singly or in addition to the screw blade 5 shown in Fig. 2 with a solid line.
