Abstract

Deflector hood for chimneys, in particular for the air exhaust lines of industrial exhaust installations such as digestors or the like, made up of an outer jacket expanding from two opposing openings to a center plane located between the openings. The hood acts as a cap on the air exhaust line. An inner body is held within the outer jacket and expands continuously from the base surface toward the outlet opening. The internal space is open toward the outlet opening and is connected with the environment by a channel leading through the wall of the outer jacket. The inner body has a configuration corresponding to that of the outer jacket, expanding from the inlet opening to a center plane and subsequently narrowing to the outlet opening, such that the annular space enclosed between the outer jacket and the inner body has a cross-sectional area continuously increasing from the inlet cross-section to the outlet cross-section. The channel connecting the internal space of the inner body with the environment and serves to drain off liquids. The channel originates at a lateral surface of the inner body and is in the form of a bearing surface.

Description

The invention relates to a deflector hood for fireplaces, in particular for the exhaust air lines of industrial suction systems for digestors or the like. Consisting of an opening from two openings into an outer jacket with t lere, located between the openings, as an attachment to the exhaust air line and one held in the outer casing, the inner body continuously widening from the base surface against the outflow opening, the interior space of which is open towards the outflow opening in the region of the base surface is connected to the surroundings by means of a channel guided through the wall of the outer casing.

Deflector hoods of this type serve to prevent rainwater from entering the exhaust air duct and thus to protect it against the flow impairment caused by moisture ingress, which in conventional fireplaces takes the form, for example, of a reduction in suction or even undesirable sooting, in industrial exhaust air ducts, especially exhaust air ducts of digestors in the form of other, depending on the type of system different disturbances can occur. The well-known deflector hoods fulfill the intended task to your complete satisfaction, but on the other hand they represent obstacles that cause considerable flow resistance, which can be achieved by maintaining a correspondingly increased exhaust gas temperature. a correspondingly increased fan output must be compensated.

The present invention has for its object to provide a deflector hood with a reduced flow resistance and the invention is that the Innenör by a corresponding to the outer jacket, expanding in such a way up to the middle level and then narrowing again to the outflow opening that the annular space enclosed between the outer jacket and the inner body has a cross section which increases continuously from the inflow cross section to the outflow cross section.

The invention provides a deflector hood with diffuser properties which opposes the flowing medium with a flow resistance which is substantially reduced in comparison with the known deflector hoods. On the contrary, investigations have shown that the point of reversal in the case of the deflector hood according to the invention, at which the positive static pressure changes into a negative static pressure, is still inside the hood, so that with the aid of the deflector hood according to the invention, compared to the known hoods, it is essential more compact construction a "pressure recovery" improving the draft in the exhaust air duct is achieved. In this sense, the use of much less powerful fans is, for example, in the case of exhaust air pipes carrying cold gases. In the case of chimneys carrying hot gases, for example chimneys for boiler systems, the system can be regulated to a considerably lower exhaust gas temperature. Significant energy savings can thus be achieved by using the deflector hood according to the invention.

In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the The inner space of the inner body is led through the outer wall of the outer jacket (liquid) drainage from the side surface of the inner body and has the shape of a support. By adjusting the liquid drainage on the side surface of the inner body, the base surface of the inner body pointing in the direction of the inflowing gases can be given a rounded, tapered and therefore aerodynamically favorable shape, whereby the (water) drainage channel can also be given a streamlined profile. In this way - as measurements have shown - reduced drag coefficients in the detector or hood can be achieved down to a value of 0.64 and below.

The invention is illustrated in the drawing using an exemplary embodiment.

The deflector hood shown in the drawing for the exhaust air duct of a suction system for digestors consists of an outer jacket 3 widening from both openings 1, 2 to a central plane A located between the openings as an attachment to the exhaust air duct and one held in the outer jacket 3, inner body 5 which widens continuously from the base 4 in the direction of the outflow opening 1, the interior space of which is open towards the outflow opening and is connected to the surroundings in the region of the base area by means of a channel 6 which is guided through the wall of the outer casing 3. The inner body has an ent speaking the outer shell 3, expanding in this way up to the middle plane A and then narrowing in the direction of the outflow opening 1 that the between the outer shell 3 and the inner body 5th enclosed annular space 7 has a cross section which increases continuously from the inflow cross section 2 to the outflow cross section 1. If one assumes in this sense that the diameter of the inflow cross-section is 2 194 mm and thus the cross-section is 0.0295 m 2 , the ring channel in plane B has a cross-section of 0.036 m ', in plane A a cross-section of 0.037 m 'and in the plane C a cross section of 0.046 m'. The outflow cross section 1 with a diameter of 240 mm is 0.452 m '.

The from the inside of the inner body through the wall of the outer jacket, the drainage of collected rainwater channel 6 starts from the side surface and not centrally from the tip of the inner body - as in the known designs of a deflector hood - and is designed wing-like, so that the deflector hood as a whole has an extraordinarily aerodynamic shape and thus offers virtually no flow resistance to the inflowing gases.
