Abstract

1. A parallelepipedic packing case of corrugated cardboard or the like wherein the packing case body comprises in its lower part external longitudinal flaps (2) adjoining the longitudinal walls (1) and internal transverse flaps (4) adjoining the transverse walls (3), said flaps (2, 4) being disposed perpendicularly to the associated walls and being assembled together in such a way as to constitute a bottom or to hold a removable bottom, and wherein the base comprises parallel supports formed by sleeves (5) formed by independent elements provided with reinforcing elements, characterised in that said sleeves (5) are fixed on the internal transverse flaps (4), parallel to the transverse walls (3) and between the longitudinal flaps (2), and that said reinforcing elements are of a length which is equal to that of the transverse walls.

Claims (10)

1. A parallelepipedic packing case of corrugated cardboard or the like wherein the packing case body comprises in its lower part external longitudinal flaps (2) adjoining the longitudinal walls (1) and internal transverse flaps (4) adjoining the transverse walls (3), said flaps (2, 4) being disposed perpendicularly to the associated walls and being assembled together in such a way as to constitute a bottom or to hold a removable bottom, and wherein the base comprises parallel supports formed by sleeves (5) formed by independent elements provided with reinforcing elements, characterised in that said sleeves (5) are fixed on the internal transverse flaps (4), parallel to the transverse walls (3) and between the longitudinal flaps (2), and that said reinforcing elements are of a length which is equal to that of the transverse walls.
2. A packing case according to claim 1 characterised in that said sleeves (5) are of square or rectangular section.
3. A packing case according to claim 2 characterised in that said sleeves (5) are of corrugated cardboard or the like and can be folded flat against said transverse flaps or said removable bottom.
4. A packing case according to one of claims 1 to 3 characterised in that, in per se known manner, said sleeves (5) are intemally reinforced by elements of corrugated cardboard or the like in the form of a channel of V-shaped section.
5. A packing case according to one of claims 1 to 3 characterised in that said sleeves are internally reinforced by blocks (6) of a plastics material foam such as expanded polystyrene.
6. A packing case according to one of claims 1 to 5 characterised in that it comprises a removable bottom which on its outside face has a support element which is parallel to sleeves (5) carried by flaps adjoining the transverse walls.
7. A packing case according to claim 6 characterised in that said support element of said bottom (8) is formed by a part of U-shaped section of said bottom.
8. A packing case according to claim 6 characterised in that said support elements of said bottom (10) is formed by an independent sleeve (5) which is fixed on said bottom.
9. A packing case according to claim 8 characterised in that the reinforcement of the support element of said bottom is of corrugated cardboard or the like and is in the form of a channel of V-shaped section.
10. A packing case according to claim 8 characterised in that the reinforcement of the support element of said bottom is a block of a plastics material foam such as expanded polystyrene.
