As all the other inputs are at 1, the transfer pulse passes the AND gate 20 and supplies, at the output of the OR circuit 21, a correction blocking pulse 13 which stops the transmission of the signal at 64 Hz on the HMC output of block 9.
- Figure 3b is a signal diagram illustrating the operation of the circuit of Figure 1 when the corrections take place according to the step shown in Figure 2b. It is assumed, however, that the slow step not step in the negative direction has already been carried out and the left edge of the diagram begins at the moment when one trains the needle in rapid cadence. It can be seen that the first output pulse (12) (borrow) fails to pass the AND gate 20 since the signal Q 2 is still at zero at this time.
