Description

The invention relates to an inking unit for rotary printing presses according to the preamble of claim 1.

A known embodiment of this type (US-A-3 538 849) shows a plate cylinder, to which four inking rollers are assigned, which are mounted on two outer friction rollers mounted in the machine side frames and driven by the inking unit drive, and a middle one, mounted on levers on the two middle inking rollers Rubbing roller can be supplied with paint. The ink is fed via the inking unit rollers and additional friction rollers and should be applied to the printing plate in an ink film that is as uniformly thin as possible. Such printing units are set up to switch the ink on or off, which is done by separating the inking rollers and the printing plate cylinder.

In the known embodiment, the middle friction roller is mounted on both sides in levers which are articulated on the middle inking rollers and are actuated by them. The middle friction roller can be adjusted relative to the two middle inking rollers by means of eccentric bearings. The storage and adjustment of the known friction roller is therefore associated with considerable effort. Problems also arise when the rollers heat up while the machine is running, because the rigid setting of the rollers increases the starting pressures, which leads to more flexing work even in the parked position and thus to further heating and a change in color consistency. The known design is thus complex and requires additional adjustment and maintenance work in practical operation, so that the overall concept of such an inking unit is considerably more expensive due to this design.

Starting from this prior art, the object of the invention is to simplify the structure of such an inking unit and to optimize its effect, with stenciling to be avoided even under difficult operating conditions.

The object is achieved according to the characterizing features of claim 1. With an inking unit in accordance with the solution created, stencil-free working is ensured and the inking rollers can be switched on and off in a simple and inexpensive manner, no complex storage or additional control being required and also an exchange of inking unit rollers being easy to carry out.

The subclaims contain advantageous developments of the solution according to the invention, claim 2 optimizing the inking with the greatest possible freedom from stenciling, claim 3 improving the lateral rubbing and thus also contributing to the optimization of the ink application, and claim 5 including a simple design of the middle friction roller, which requires no additional effort is also turned off when the inking rollers are turned off.

An embodiment of the invention is shown schematically in the drawings.

Es zeigt:

  • Fig. 1 eine schematisch dargestellte Seitenansicht,
  • Fig. 2 einen Teillängsschnitt durch das Farbwerk,
  • Fig. 3 einen Reibwalzenantrieb.
It shows:
  • 1 is a schematically illustrated side view,
  • 2 shows a partial longitudinal section through the inking unit,
  • Fig. 3 shows a friction roller drive.

The inking rollers 2-5 are assigned rubbing rollers 7, 8, which have a plurality of inking unit rollers 9 with an ink fountain 10 are connected. The ink metering device provided on the ink fountain 10 for regulating the amount of ink to be transported into the inking unit is known per se and has not been shown in the drawing.

Seen in the direction of rotation of the plate cylinder 1, the first two inking rollers 4, 5 are assigned the friction roller 8 driven by the inking unit drive and the last two inking rollers 2, 3 are assigned the friction roller 7, which is also driven by the inking unit drive. As a result, the continuous drive of the inking rollers 2-5 is ensured even when a cylinder channel passes through the plate cylinder 1. A further friction roller 11 is assigned to the two middle inking rollers 3 and 4 and is driven by friction by both. The friction roller 11 is mounted on the machine side frames 12 in a slide bearing 13 so that it is raised when the inking rollers 3 and 4 are pivoted away. The inking rollers 14, 15 and 16 are also slidably mounted and lie with their own weight on the friction roller 11 and thus increase the signal pressure of the same. In addition, the positioning force can be increased via the inking rollers 14-16 by means of a compression spring 17 which is supported on a bearing 18 which is fastened to a bearing plate 19 (FIG. 2). The compression spring 17, which is assigned a guide pin, acts on a bridge 21, which is supported on the steering knuckle 22 of the inking roller 16 and via a spacer pin 23 on the bearing 24 of the inking roller 15.

  • 1. Farbauftragwalze 5 für 40-46%
  • 2. Farbauftragwalze 4 für 40-46%
  • 3. Farbauftragwalze 3 für 6-12% und
  • 4. Farbauftragwalze 2 für 1-6%.
To optimize the inking of the plate cylinder 1, the inking rollers 3-5, as seen in the direction of rotation of the plate cylinder, are designed to transfer the following ink components:
  • 1st inking roller 5 for 40-46%
  • 2nd inking roller 4 for 40-46%
  • 3. Ink roller 3 for 6-12% and
  • 4. Ink roller 2 for 1-6%.

Thus, the largest portion of the amount of ink to be transferred is transferred to the printing plate by the first two inking rollers 5 and 4, and the last inking roller 2 only transfers an equalizing residual amount. In the Pra xis the color distribution could thus be chosen as follows:
  • 44%, 44%, 9%, 3% according to the direction of rotation of the plate cylinder.

In der an- und in der abgestellen Position liegen die Schwenkhebel an einstellbaren Anschlägen 29 an.To turn the inking rollers 2-5 on and off, they are mounted on pivoting levers 25-28 which can be pivoted about the respective friction roller 7. In the on and in the parked position, the pivot levers rest on adjustable stops 29.

As can be seen in FIG. 2, the bearing plate 19 is fastened to the machine side frame 12 via a screw connection 30. The individual rollers are mirrored on the opposite machine side frame.

In the exemplary embodiments shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, the first row roller 8 seen in the direction of rotation of the plate cylinder 1 is designed such that it can carry out two independent, superimposed rubbing movements. This can e.g. 3, in which an eccentric body 31 is driven via a spur gear 32 at a specific speed. This eccentric body 31 is mounted once via a ball bearing 33 in the machine side frame 12 and a second time via a ball bearing 34 in a bridge 35 which is also fastened to the machine side frame. At its outer end, the eccentric body 31 has a slot 36, in which a push rod 37 is adjustably fastened via a clamping bolt 38, so that the eccentricity can be freely selected according to the requirements. According to the set eccentricity, the push rod 37 transmits the back and forth movement to an angle lever 39, which in turn is provided with a roller 40 at its other end. The roller 40 in turn rolls in an eccentrically designed track 41 of an eccentric body 42 which is fastened on the steering knuckle 43 of the friction roller 8. The track 41 has a certain stroke per revolution in the axial direction, so that the second stroke movement generated thereby is superimposed on the first stroke movement generated by the eccentric body. Here, the two stroke movements corresponding to the drive of the eccentric body 31 or the friction roller 8 can be superimposed independently and freely, so that there is an increased rubbing of the ink film to be transferred in the axial direction, whereby the inking of the printing plate on the plate cylinder 1 is optimized.
