Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method and a device for the continuous coating of plastic floor coverings with a structured surface, in particular of structured PVC floor coverings, with a surface finish.
Plastic floor coverings with a structured surface, in particular so-called chemically embossed PVC floor coverings, are widely used today as floor surfaces, mainly because of their diverse decorative surface design and their extensive resistance to wear and tear. In order to maintain a well-groomed appearance after laying for a longer period, it is necessary to maintain the surface of these floor coverings. Such effective initial maintenance of the installed flooring is, however, only very rarely carried out on site by the supplier. The cases in which the buyer does such initial care in the "Do it your self" process after the floor covering has been laid are also exceptional. If such initial care is carried out at all, it is very often inadequate, faulty or is carried out too late, and above all it is also carried out without an adhesion-enhancing heat. This leads to irreversible, premature soiling of such structured floor coverings, especially if they have a light color. There are walking zones, rubber heel markings, etc., which cannot be removed later. In addition, chemically embossed PVC floor coverings have the property that the plasticizer that is always contained within tan and weeks forms a plasticizer film on the surface of the floor covering due to migration, which is particularly susceptible to soiling and also acts as a separating layer from the care products usually later applied by the end user.
The invention is based on the object of creating a method and a device of the type mentioned at the beginning, with which it is possible in a simple and inexpensive manner to produce a floor covering which is already professionally provided with anti-soiling equipment on the surface, as a result of which the above-mentioned difficulties and phenomena can no longer occur at the end customer of the floor covering. In addition, the coating of the floor covering surface in a fresh, wettable state is intended to achieve particularly good adhesion and particularly good durability of the protective film, which cannot otherwise be achieved using conventional methods.
This object is achieved in that the re-coating of the surface of the floor covering is carried out immediately after the production of the floor covering. For this purpose, an aqueous and / or solvent-containing coating material is poured onto the floor covering. Aqueous coating materials in particular include polymer dispersion based on pure acrylates in combination with corresponding temporary and permanent plasticizers. Organosols based on acrylate or polyurethane have proven to be particularly advantageous as solvent-containing coating materials.
The coating applied to the structured flooring is uneven in its surface design, which is why the applied coating is first blown by means of a gas stream, e.g. B. air is equalized to get a uniform layer thickness of the order on the fertine flooring. Then the still moist coating on the floor covering is dried, hardened and fixed by means of a heating device.
The method according to the invention is suitable for coating endless floor coverings with a surface finish with a web width of the floor covering of more than 4 meters. The throughput speed of the floor covering can be 1 to 80 m / min. be. Has been particularly suitable a throughput speed of 10 to 30 m / min. brought out.
The layer thickness of the application on the structured flooring is even and adjustable from about 1 to 50 µm. With a p r layer thickness of the order 3-20 microns, the desired effect is fully achieved already in most cases.
A device 7 for carrying out the method according to the invention is characterized by the features of claim B.
Weitere zweckmäßige Ausbildungen der Vorrichtung enthalten die Ansprüche 9 - 12.Further expedient designs of the device contain claims 9-12.
The invention is further illustrated using a schematic drawing.
In this drawing, 1 denotes the structured turf covering web to be tapered from the production process. A
The coated floor covering, with its still flowable application layer, is then guided past a
The coating of the floor covering can also advantageously be dried by means of an IR radiator field. As a result of this process, the coating applied to the top of the floor covering as anti-soiling equipment is not only net-dried, but also good adhesion between the floor covering and the coating is achieved by the action of heat.
A 4, 08 meter wide rahn of a chemically embossed, structured CV-Bodenhelage is fed to an impression roller, with a throughput speed of 20 m / min. There is an aqueous dispersion of polymethyl methacrylate and polyethylene polycol as a plasticizer in a tub.
This dispersion is approximately 20% by weight of polyethyl methacrylate and is pumped around with the appropriate dispersion located in a storage container.
By means of a revolving steel roller immersed in the dispersion, dispersion is continuously taken out of the tub and transferred to a transfer roller which has a rubber jacket.
During the passage of the CV floor covering between the deflection roller and the transfer roller, the surface of the CV floor covering is coated with a thin, coherent, endless, dispersion film lying against the structured surface of the covering. Then it is coated CV floor covering was guided over a deflection roller past an air nozzle, which blows the still wet application with an air flow of about 40 ° C and smoothes the application. The uniform dispersion film on the CV floor covering is then guided past an IR radiator field, which has a performance of 2 x R 000 Kcal / m 2 , and the dispersion film is dried, hardened and fixed on the surface of the CV floor covering. After the last process, the coating has a thickness of approximately 6 μm, which corresponds to an application weight of approximately 3 n gr / m 2 of coating film.
The CV pod covering provided with the anti-soiling equipment is then rolled up on a supply roller.
The advantages achieved by the invention consist in particular in that a floor covering, in particular a structured PVC floor covering, is provided with anti-soiling equipment immediately after the production process, with good adhesion between the floor covering and the coating being achieved. A uniform coating of the floor covering is achieved, with the lower areas of the structuring also being provided with the coating agent. The design is not affected and the degree of gloss or matt of the surface of the floor covering due to the covering can, if necessary, also be retained.
B. Automobilen Verwendung finden.Of course, the procedure according to the invention and the device according to the invention can also be used for the production of coverings which are used as end products for wall cladding, other covers or for the interior cladding of e.g. B. automobiles are used.
